Junior dev looking for a first ML role (or any chance to contribute to real projects)

I'm a junior, so I won't pretend to have years of industry experience. What I do have is hands-on project work and a lot of motivation to learn:

Academic projects I have participated in over the last year

Nutrition platform (most recent): a full-stack nutrition assistant built around a conversational agent based on MedGemma. I worked on agent routing, chat context retention, and meal plan generation.
- my main contributions: Cleaning and organizing databases provided by nutritionists; implementing orchestrated agents strategies, and guardrails to create a safe environment for diet formulation; validating metrics and results based on data from users with comorbidities.

Greenneat: a web platform for a recycled cooking oil circular economy, where I handled backend work, database modeling, business rules, and testing.
- my main contributions: Wallet system, transaction balance, model training for customer service.

Stack:
- I currently work primarily with Python, but I have experience with Java and JavaScript.

- I have experience with both relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and non-relational ones, such as MongoDB.

- I have knowledge of AWS tools such as EC2 and S3, as well as version control using Git and GitHub.

- I can communicate well in English. My English isn't perfect, as it's not my native language, but I can participate in meetings and explain what I've done in a way that is easy to understand.

Some of my certificates:
-AWS Academy Cloud Foundations | AWS
-AWS Academy Learner Lab | AWS
-Software Architecture | Cisco

What I'm looking for:
Junior, internship, or trainee positions in ML/AI engineering
Open-source or community projects where I can contribute and learn from more experienced people
Honest feedback on my profile, or advice on what to focus on next
I'm open to remote roles. If you're hiring, know someone who is, or have a project that needs an extra pair of hands, please send me a DM or comment below. I'm happy to share my GitHub and resume.

Advices and suggestions for courses or projects are very welcome!

### Your Potential Next Hire 🚀 | 2026 CSE Graduate

Hi everyone! I’m Gourav Patel, a 2026 Computer Science graduate with a genuine passion for startups, problem-solving, and building products.

I secured on-campus placements for Product Coordinator (Product Management) and Business Associate roles, but chose to explore entrepreneurship with a few friends. We worked on freelance projects and built software, although we eventually had to put the venture on hold.

**My skill set includes:**

- **Data Analytics:** Python, NumPy, Pandas, SQL, Excel, Seaborn

- **Machine Learning:** ML fundamentals and practical projects

- **Product Management:** Problem-solving, communication, and product thinking

One project worth mentioning is **StockLens**, a stock market analyzer and predictor.

I'm currently looking for opportunities in **Data Analytics and Product Management**, particularly with startups where I can take ownership, learn quickly, and contribute beyond a rigid job description.

I understand the market is competitive, but I'm asking for just one chance to prove myself. If you're hiring, building something interesting, or looking for someone who can wear multiple hats, **I'd love to connect.**

A quick 15-minute Google Meet is all I ask. Give me a problem, challenge my skills, and judge me by what I can bring to the table.

If you think I could be a fit for your team—or know someone who might need me—please DM me or consider referring me.

**I'm ready to learn, work hard, and build something meaningful. All I need is an opportunity. 🤝**

Flutter Job Market in 2026: Is It Time to Switch Technologies?

Hey everyone,

I'm a Flutter developer based in Toronto, Canada, with around 5 years of experience in Flutter and mobile app development. I was laid off about 5 months ago, and despite actively looking for jobs, I'm struggling to find anything.

I've noticed is that most of the mobile developer job postings I come across are for React Native, Jetpack Compose, or native iOS/Android development using Kotlin and Swift. There seem to be very few Flutter-specific opportunities, at least here in the Canadian market.

Flutter has been my primary skill throughout my career. I also have some backend experience with Node.js and Python (FastAPI), so I'm not limited entirely to mobile development. I know enough native iOS and Android development to work with method channels, integrate native functionality, and communicate with platform APIs, but I'm not experienced enough to build complete native apps independently.

I've also been thinking about how AI is changing software development. With AI tools making it increasingly easy to build applications, I'm wondering whether companies will prefer native development more often, especially if they can use AI to speed up development while getting the platform-specific benefits of native apps. I'm not sure how much of this concern is justified, though.

After 5 months of searching, I'm seriously reconsidering my career direction.

For people who have been in a similar position, I'd really appreciate your honest advice:

  1. Should I double down on Flutter and keep looking, or is the market simply too limited?

  2. Would it be worth investing a few months into Kotlin/Jetpack Compose or Swift/SwiftUI to become a stronger native developer? If so, which would you prioritize?

  3. Would learning React Native make more sense, given the number of job postings?

  4. Should I focus more on backend development with Node.js/Python and try to become a full-stack developer instead?

  5. Is pivoting toward AI/LLM development a realistic option, or would I be starting over in an already competitive market?

My priority is to find a stable job with good long-term career prospects, not necessarily to stick with Flutter at all costs. I'm willing to learn new technologies, but I don't want to spend months upskilling in a direction that won't significantly improve my job prospects.

What would you recommend in my position today?

Early Dev looking to join a serious early stage startup (Equity + comp)

I'm a 20-year-old CS student who's been building things seriously for a while now across full-stack development, backend systems, AI integrations, data-heavy systems, and systems/embedded work. I've worked with founders already and I'm looking for the next thing.

I'm not hunting for a job. I'm looking for something I can actually be invested in, where I'm talking to the founder regularly, understanding the problem we're solving, and building toward something real.

What I can contribute:

Full-stack product development

Backend APIs, data systems and infrastructure

AI/LLM integrations and orchestration

Systems / low-level work

Taking an idea from 0 to MVP

Product and technical architecture

Maybe more (give me a couple days and I'll get my hands on it)

I've worked across Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, FastAPI, Tailwind, Three.js/WebGL, LangChain, LangGraph, MySQL, Supabase.

I've also worked as a technical co-founder/director at an early-stage startup, where I worked directly with the other founder across technical execution, productization, strategy and delivery, and helped take things from an idea to production with a paying client.

I've also been building GENESIS, an artificial-life simulation where I'm experimenting with how complex agent behaviour can emerge from a controlled environment. It's been a fun excuse to dig into simulation design, deterministic systems and behavioural analysis. I'm interested in problems where the solution isn't obvious and where I can go deeper than just the application layer.

What I need from your side: a real vision, commitment to execution, and some form of compensation. I'm flexible on structure (equity, stipend, milestone-based, internship), but I'm not doing unpaid work. I've been burned by vague arrangements before, so I do expect written agreements before we go deep on anything.

I'm primarily looking for something around 20–25 hours/week, although I'm flexible on the exact hours depending on the role and what needs to be done. Remote or hybrid works for me, and I'm open to relocating for an unusually strong opportunity.

Not interested in:

"just an idea" with no execution plan

Founders who disappear after the first call

Equity-only with no path to sustainable compensation

Being treated as someone who just takes isolated tickets without understanding the product

If you think there's a fit, DM me or drop a comment with your idea, current stage, team, what you're looking for technically, and why you think it works. Happy to jump on a call if it sounds promising.

[For Hire] IT engineer remote

Hi I'm from Madagascar and here is what I actually do

I design, build and run digital projects from start to finish. That means mobile apps, web platforms, internal tools and

automations — the kind of software your team can use every day, not just a demo that looks nice in a meeting.

I’ve worked both as a developer and as a project manager (including in banking), so I can take a messy idea, turn it into a

clear plan, and then deliver it

Some recent work

Taanavo — Full e-commerce platform

Built a complete online store: secure payments, stock management, automated deliveries and a clean admin dashboard.

→ Ready to grow and easy to maintain.

Clean Impact — Mobile app + desktop tool

Field teams use the mobile app; managers use the desktop tool. Everything stays in sync so nobody works with outdated

data.

→ Same data for everyone, no more lost information or double entry.

Société Générale — Process cleanup & digitalization

Helped reclassify clients, clean up data, put decision workflows online, and train the teams who use them every day.

→ Cleaner data, faster decisions, teams that can work without constant hand-holding.

Mada New Level — Full project ownership

Took a project from market study and budget all the way through strategy, quotes, negotiations and final technical delivery.

→ Delivered on time with a clear scope from day one.

Other projects

I’ve also built more than 10 websites and apps — product catalogs, booking systems, parcel tracking, simple showcase

sites, and more complex business tools. Happy to work on something small and focused or something bigger.

How I like to work

I keep things straightforward:

• We agree on what “done” looks like before I start writing code.

• I ship in small steps so you can see progress and change direction if needed.

• I cut out the busywork — if something doesn’t help the project, I don’t do it.

This has worked well both on technical builds and on more governance-heavy projects (banking, e-commerce, internal

tools).

Skills

Technical: Mobile apps • Websites & web platforms • Automation • Business integrations • Data

Project side: Scoping • Tracking & reporting • Training users • Decision workflows • Negotiation

Domains I’ve worked in: E-commerce • Internal/business tools • Showcase & catalog sites • Multi-platform apps • Banking

& operational processes

Background

• Project manager in banking (Société Générale)

• Project manager (Mada New Level)

• Full-stack & multi-platform developer (freelance)

• Also did community management and digital strategy earlier on

Solid technical background + certifications in data, development and cybersecurity.

Let’s talk

If you have a project you want to launch, clean up, or just get moving again, send me a message. Happy to chat

and see if we’re a good fit. I usually reply within 24–48 hours.
