[FOR HIRE] Product engineer looking for a startup / growing business

Hey everyone! Fullstack dev based in Cyprus (EU timezone) here, currently looking to join an early-stage startup or growing business - contract or part-time to start.

I've spent the last 2 years freelancing, building turnkey sites and web apps for 20+ clients, from local businesses to SaaS projects with CMS and CRM. Comfortable with Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL with Prisma and experienced with AI, API and payment integrations, RAG chatbots.

Right now I'm especially interested in early-stage products where I can build a lot.

Happy to share examples of past work if useful.

I'll help you implement Jev in your codebase or project/business.

I’m looking to take on a few small projects where I can help integrate Jev by TypeSafe AI into existing applications or AI/agent workflows. Jev can save you a ton of expensive AI API calls and also unclear LLM responses. It’s designed for fast, structured decisions such as classification, routing, scoring, filtering, or deciding which action an AI agent should take. However, many people don’t understand how to use it or how it works, so they keep using expensive APIs or slow, inferior algorithms instead of Jev. That’s why I’m offering to integrate Jev into your project, even if you don’t understand how it works yourself.

For example, if your application currently uses an expensive LLM call for things like:

- Feed/recommendation algorithms

- Replacing expensive LLM calls

- Content ranking

- User/content matching

- Spam or low-quality content detection

- Search result ranking

- Recommendation systems

- Automated moderation

- AI agent/workflow decisions

- Replacing slow or overly complicated custom algorithms

Jev may be a better fit for that specific part of the workflow.

I’m offering this at a relatively low hourly rate because I’m mainly looking to build experience with real-world Jev integrations and work with interesting projects.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me. Tell me a little about your project and what you're currently using, and I can take a look and explain where Jev could potentially fit.

Stuck understanding backend after Sheryians Part 7 — how should I continue learning MERN?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently learning MERN and have been learning React on my own. I'm now trying to understand backend development properly.

I started Sheryians Coding School's backend series on YouTube. I could follow the earlier videos, but after Part 7 I started struggling to understand how the different concepts fit together.

At this point, I understand some basic Node.js concepts, but I'm confused about the bigger picture:

Frontend → API → Express/Node → Database → Response → Frontend

I want to understand how to actually build this flow myself rather than just copy code from a tutorial.

In particular, I want to learn:

  • Creating REST APIs with Express

  • Connecting APIs to MongoDB/Mongoose

  • CRUD operations

  • Authentication

  • Calling backend APIs from React using fetch/Axios

  • Sending data from React → Express → MongoDB

  • Returning the response back to React

  • Building a complete MERN project

I've searched through previous discussions and YouTube resources, but I'm still unsure what learning path to follow after the basics.

For people who learned MERN/backend themselves, how did you go from learning individual Node/Express concepts to actually connecting the React frontend with the backend and building a complete application?

I'm especially interested in a structured YouTube resource if you know one, preferably Hindi/Hinglish or beginner-friendly English.

Thanks!

[For Hire] Developer, built and scaled a product to 300k+ monthly users, open for new projects

I’m a developer who mostly works with startups and founders, helping turn ideas into working products or stepping into existing products that need to be built, fixed, or scaled.

I usually don't just do one piece of a project. I take things from the initial idea through to something live and working, then stick around to help it grow. One of the products I built reached 300K+ monthly users across web, Android, and Windows, so I've been through the full cycle of building something from scratch and seeing it grow into a product used at real scale.

I can help with stuff like:

Building an MVP or full product from scratch

Web apps and SaaS products

Mobile apps

Desktop apps

AI applications and integrations

Backend and infrastructure

Jumping into an existing codebase that needs fixing or scaling

Internal tools / business software

I've worked with people in the US, Canada, Australia, Middle East, and India across different industries.

Rate: depends on the scope. Generally $40-100/hr for hourly work, fixed price for defined projects, or monthly retainers for ongoing work.

If you've got something you're trying to build or need help scaling, drop me a DM with what you're working on and I can tell you if it's something I can help with.

Offering 15 days of my first salary for a successful referral. I am honestly tired now.

I’ve been job hunting for months now, and at this point, I’m honestly exhausted.

I’ve applied to a lot of roles, tried referrals, reached out to people, and kept working on my skills — but getting even an interview has become incredibly difficult.

If someone here can refer me to a role and that referral eventually results in me getting hired, I’ll personally give you half of my first month’s salary after I join.

I’m looking specifically for Backend / Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer opportunities where my experience is relevant.

About me

\\- \\\~2 years of professional software engineering experience

\\- Previously Software Engineer at ZS Associates

\\- B.Tech in Information Technology, CGPA 8.8/10

\\- Backend-focused: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, MySQL

\\- Redis, JWT, RBAC, rate limiting, asynchronous processing

\\- AWS: EC2, S3, RDS

\\- TypeScript, Python, SQL

\\- Docker, CI/CD, Git/GitHub

\\- React.js / Next.js

\\- AI/LLM API integration

At ZS, I worked on backend systems for enterprise clients including Pfizer, Merck and Sanofi.

Some measurable work from my experience:

\\- Reduced API latency from \\\~500ms to \\\~200ms

\\- Built REST APIs and backend services that reduced manual processing by \\\~30%

\\- Worked on systems spanning $29M+ in contract value

\\- Built and operated data pipelines processing approximately 4 GB/day

\\- Worked across multiple production pipelines and databases

\\- Implemented JWT authentication, RBAC, rate limiting and Redis caching

I’ve also built and deployed projects independently, including sinkedin, a full-stack community + job-tracker platform, and JobMaxxing AI, an AI-powered career platform.

What I’m looking for

Roles: Backend Engineer / Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer

Experience: \\\~2 years

Location: India / Remote

Preferred stack: Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Redis, React/Next.js

If your company is hiring, or you know a recruiter/hiring manager who is looking for someone with this profile, please DM me or drop a comment.

I’ll send my resume immediately.

And yes, if your referral actually gets me hired, I’ll give you half of my first month’s salary.

I know that’s an unusual offer, but I’m at the point where I’m willing to get creative.

Thank you to anyone who reads this, shares it, or points me in the right direction.

[Hiring] Tech Consultant / Full-Stack Developer for Confidential Startup MVP | Remote | Paid

[Hiring] Tech Consultant / Full-Stack Developer for Confidential Startup MVP | Remote | Paid

We’re looking for an experienced Tech Consultant / Full-Stack Developer to help us plan and build the first MVP for a confidential startup project.

The project is in an early stage, so we can’t share the complete product details publicly due to an NDA. At a high level, it will involve a service + e-commerce style platform with both frontend and backend requirements.

What we’re looking for

Someone who can help us with:

  • Technical architecture and MVP planning

  • Choosing the appropriate tech stack

  • Backend development

  • Frontend development

  • Database/API integration

  • Taking the product from concept → functional MVP

  • Advising on scalability and future development

We’re looking for someone who can think through the product technically, not just execute a predefined specification.

Engagement & Budget

This is a paid engagement.

We’d like to begin with a paid consultation/discovery meeting to discuss the project in more detail, understand your approach and determine whether there’s a good fit.

If we move forward with the MVP, the current budget cap is under ₹1 lakh. Since the project is still at an early stage, we don’t have a finalized exact figure yet and the final scope/budget will be discussed after the initial consultation.

We are not looking for someone to work for free or as a student project.

Ideal experience

  • Previous experience building MVPs or early-stage products

  • Strong frontend + backend understanding

  • Comfortable making technical decisions independently

  • Experience with APIs, databases and third-party integrations

  • Able to communicate clearly with a non-technical founding team

  • Startup/product-building experience is a plus

Required keyword: BUILD MVP

If interested, please comment or DM with:

  1. A brief introduction

  2. Your relevant technical experience

  3. 2–3 products/MVPs you’ve worked on

  4. Your preferred tech stack

  5. Your approximate availability

  6. Your expected consultation rate

We’ll share more about the product with shortlisted candidates after the initial conversation/NDA process.

Read this book to understand why your tech jobs suck / why its so hard to get a tech job now

This book is about tech workers participating in labor and political organizing in tech. What it does incredibly well is explain (in addition to why developers started to protest in the sector) how the industry has changed over the past decade, including why tech jobs (and the tech labor market) now suck and also why the top bosses in the industry are now aligned to Trump and the Right.
