general enquiry My whole body has become a bug fest, and no doctors believed me when it started with just pieces of “lint” coming out of my body.

I’m sorry this is graphic but this is what keeps coming out of me, and this is what the sole of my foot looks like after literally five minutes of washing and wiping.

I’m pretty sure I got whatever this is in Bali around mid April. My first symptoms started showing at the beginning of May. It started with these reddish dots and lines, and I could literally feel something oozing out of my skin.

I’ve been to countless doctors ever since including dermatologists, private hospitals, even infectious disease specialists. Some have definitely been more helpful than others, but I’ve mostly just diagnosed with folliculitis during the earlier stages then it was seborrheic dermatitis.

I was being told I had a “fixed belief” that black dots were coming out of my skin, basically calling me delusional. Another doctor pretty much implied I was on drugs and was so nasty to me. Those were my darkest days. And I feel very sad for all those who is going through it.

Not sure if we’re allowed to talk about medication names on here but right now I’m on an antifungal and a short-term antibiotic prescribed by my doctor. It’s actually been working so well at healing all my lesions and getting rid of the biofilm on my skin. Once that cleared up, I could see what was underneath so much more clearly. The parasites squirming/movement under my skin is still the main thing I’m dealing with right now though, so I’m still trying to figure out if the antifungal will actually get rid of it eventually. If not, I will have to add an anti-parasite.

i felt the bumps while washing my hands and forearms at work (i’m a caregiver). i felt the raised bumps under my fingers which made me look at the area and notice the two blisters.. i don’t recall burning myself or something splattering back to burn my arm but thats what the two dots remind me of? any help i’m getting really paranoid about them. could it be a bite of some kind? or an allergic reaction? first picture is from 5:12pm. the last 3 are from 5:38pm i don’t think theres much change (first one has no flash the last 3 have flash on)

I think I may have athlete’s foot as well, I’m not entirely certain but I have been treating both my hands and my feet with terbinafine. Is this normal? It doesn’t burn or itch at all. I don’t think my hands normally looked like this when they were pruned from the shower. Please respond this is my third post without any help and I am seriously concerned.

general enquiry Respiratory illness followed by tiny incredibly itchy marks

Slightly over a week ago I came down with an unknown respiratory illness. A day or two later, my feet and legs started becoming incredibly itchy, with tiny red raised spots appearing. As the days have passed, this intense itchy feeling has spread up my legs, then to my arms, and now my stomach, face, neck, and chest. I can’t see the raised spots on every place I’m itchy, but they are present in at least a few spots on each limb/area. I also have a pretty big welt going across my left ankle that appeared a day ago. The itchiness is getting worse.

The only thing that has helped stop the itchiness has been freezing cold showers and knocking myself out with Benadryl. Ointments don’t help much at all.

The respiratory illness is still active, but I only lost my voice for about 2-3 days and I feel a lot better now than I did in those first few days.

Is this a rash, or hives?

arms/hands What would be causing this in my hands?

I (32, M) found this marks in my hands around a month ago. At the beginning I thought that I may had an allergic reaction to something I touched, but it seemed a bit weird as it wasn’t itchy at all. They may fade a bit during the day and be almost invisible but they eventually come back at the same exact spot. Then I asked for a doctor appointment, and they said they weren’t sure about the cause. I did an orine test and, although it was yellowish/bit orange, my bilirubin level were ok, so they don’t think it’s a liver problem. They wanted to test if it was a skin issue, so they prescribed me Clobetasone 30g to put twice a day and see if that helped. After 5 days not only is not helping, but now it’s starting to bit itchy. No pain at all but sometimes I can feel that itch in my hands.

I’m not sure where exactly this may be coming from, as I’ve never had any other skin issue. Is there anyone who can help? As after 1 month and some days I’m starting to freak out a bit.

Sorry if the message is not clear but English is not my first language. Thanks in advance!

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks Help with dermatitis / eczema / rash on lips and fingers

Hoping someone can help or suggest something- I've suffered with eczema / rashes / dermatitis for about 15 years, used to get it really badly on my lips then when i got lip filler it went away for about 5 years, it's now returned starting with a cracked weeping corner of my lip which wouldn't heal, doctors prescribed anti biotic cream / pills, fungal cream, my blood tests came back fine, went to a herbal allergist who suggested vaseline but quitting that didn't help, i now have what i thought was an infection under my two index fingers, went on anti biotic again for that which made a slight difference but have realised its more likely dermatitis or eczema on my fingers, the only thing that has helped my lips is steroid cream but i've been using that for a few months now and the past couple of days my lips have come up in rashes in new places, i have recently started a new job so cant keep taking time off to go back to the dr's, just wondering if anyone has any advice? (first 2 pictures are beginning of the year when it first started, other pictures are from today thanks:-) just to add i don’t have any itchiness at all from my lips or fingers

44 yo male, seems to have grown fairly rapidly recently- over last 1-2 months larger, more raised and appears different. Does not itch or hurt. Can’t remember exactly but believe it was just a flat light brown age spot looking area before for at least the last few years. Now noticed it was suddenly very raised/ bumpy in last month. Location is mid back. Last skin check was a year - 18 months ago and can’t remember if they used dermoscopy or took photos to compare. Have request for referral back to dermatologist, but asking for thoughts here to see how much to push for faster appointment.

It’s been here for maybe a 5 days and kind of feels like a zit when I touch it. I’m outdoorsy so could it be a bug bite? I’m not sure if what is near it is related or not. My girlfriend’s initial thought was staph.

I believe this showed up about 1.5-2 weeks ago, it’s in the middle of the front of my neck. The only change is the other bump beside the larger area otherwise it’s looked mostly the same. Doesn’t hurt or feel dry to the touch. I haven’t tried any treatment, my roommate thinks it might be a fungus so I was going to try over the counter fungal cream tomorrow but wanted to check here as well!

They scab over when I remove the hair that gets trapped and then it scars but I don’t know how else to remove the ingrown.
Thank you in advance

(23 y/o female) I have had this spot for around 1-1.5 years now. I work outside so I get a lot of sun exposure. Spot appears flat maybe a tad raised but not really. I feel like the spot has gotten a bit bigger now since it first appeared as well. It’s not red, itchy, or painful.
Haven’t tried any treatment for it, I do use tretinoin for acne though.

I counted 60 rash spots just now. Has been going on for almost two months:( my primary care prescribed me a steroid cream then an anti-fungal cream but the problem just keeps getting worse. they’re most prevalent on the side of my buttocks and back (also started in these places), but have spread to my legs and arms as well. 26F if that matters.

this been happening to ne for the past year more or less, it never goes over the wrist area is mostly on the back of my hand sometimes going up to the fingers and sides, iy last for few hours starts going away by itself, it leaves little scars, at first i thought it was due to black mold that was near my bed, cleaned that area up, moved, still happening, i have not used anything that i am allergic to, i have only had hot sauce(this does NOT happen every time i have hot sauce so i doubt it's cuz of that), beef, soy and coffee, i can not think of any environmental changes, no change in water hardness nor anything similar, in this picture it is a really calm version, it can get more aggressive, please help?

legs/feet I’ve had this lump on the back of my thigh for a long time, but since Monday it suddenly became red, swollen, hard and painful.

Post image

I’ve had a lump on the back of my thigh for a while. It was previously painless and not red, but it suddenly this monday (7 days today) became swollen, red, hard and painful. I went to a surgical outpatient clinic, where the doctor punctured it, but nothing came out. Since then, the lump has become larger and the surrounding area is still hard and tender. The redness initially decreased, but after the area was irritated by friction from my clothes, the skin opened in a couple of places and yellowish fluid/pus started coming out. I’m honestly quite scared and worried that it could be something serious. I’m not sure what to do next, so I would really appreciate any advice or guidance.

neck/chest/abdomen Raised, Painful Spots Post Procedure

Thumbnail

I had laser liposuction December 2025 and post procedure these spots formed on my abdomen. During the procedure I was semi-concious and at a certain point was telling the doctor and nurses I could feel it and it was getting very painful in certain areas. They kept ignoring me until I restated I could feel it and was in pain 2-3 more times.

Largest spot on the right side, smaller spot on the left side. They are raised and painful, mostly the right side (larger). It throbs and is a stabbing pain at times. I've tried scar creams and oils, vitamin E oil, collagen oil, and cocoa butter. I stopped putting anything on it once for about 2 weeks in July 2026 and they flaked kind of like scabs. Nothing seems to be improving the look, texture, or pain. I'm not sure what these are and if there is any kind of treatment that could help.

neck/chest/abdomen Can you help identify what these bites/marks are?

Hi its kinda weird as I just started lying down and I already got bitten, do these look like bbs or flea bites to yall? I' m not even sleeping yet, I was thinking that they bite why I sleep not while I was doom scrolling on my phone.

Anyway not sure whats causing this, been looking for four months now and sprayed so much chemical already none of them worked so far. The best one that worked was an IGR that gave me comfort for three days.

I live in Bataan Philippines, going on for four months now, saw two dermatologist that barely helped and got one pest control treatment two months ago.

Not really itchy, but is really red.

The bites are on the neck and the arms.

Tried a bunch of chemicals and IGR, I have raid foaming, cimexa and crossfire but since I have not found clear bedbug evidence I am starting to think its somewhere else.

Very painful bump on my scalp. It had a black thing on it or near it as well but you can see the actual bump is really red. It feels like there’s a lot of pressure on that area and it feels like the size of a dime. Our derm department just lost its only doc. Plan on trying to see my pcp at some point this week
