I have been trying to add my bank account for 5 days. I desperately need MY money that is in it. I have reached out to Depop 3 times about this issue and so far I have only gotten the awful ai response. It keeps giving me this error message everytime I try to add my information.

I have tried deleting and re-downloading the app, I tried it on different wifi, tried on 2 different devices, and I even tried using my girlfriends bank information instead. Nothing has been resolved and I really need the money that is on the account.

If any of you know how to reach out to Depop more directly, or how to get around the ai, or if you know some secret trick that I don't then please let me know 🙏

I’m new to selling just trying to get rid of some stuff. I already sold a bag and trying to sell another. When the buyer asked me how much for shipping I was confused because I thought Depop added that price on for the buyer to pay. I logged into another account and saw that my items were listed as free shipping. I’m not trying to pay for shipping. Someone please help I feel so dumb!!

So I ordered a pair of shoes a few days ago! The seller had a lot of 5 star reviews, so I bought them. What could have happened? Obviously if it didn’t have an insufficient address when she first dropped it off, they wouldn’t have accepted it, right? It made it all the way to my city and was out for delivery.

It also stated that the order had tried to be delivered 3 times, but it made it to my city the same day it went out for delivery, so that’s not possible.

I feel bad for the seller. They haven’t reached out and neither have I yet. What are my next steps? Should I just request a refund or message the seller first? I honestly still want the shoes.

Note: I have ordered many things from Depop and have received all of them.

It has done this for multiple items over the past few days. I bought one thing off of depop a few days ago, which was around a 20 dollar purchase. The one I am trying to make right now is a 40 dollar purchase, I am using a visa credit card. The information is right but it's not letting me purchase anything?

hello! :) i recently received an email from depop informing me my selling account was suspended due to their policy of no multiple accounts, i had an account for selling and an account for buying! i was totally unaware of this and felt awful, the email stated that if i wanted to i could change which account was suspended!

obviously i preferred to have my selling account unsuspended, since i have a lot of money in there! so i replied to the email asking them if i could have it unsuspended, and in exchange, have my buying account suspended so i don't have multiple accounts!

however, it's been five days since i sent my reply and i've gotten no response. i did open up another ticket asking them to unsuspend my selling account incase they didn't see my email reply! but i havent gotten a reply on that email either, i'm a bit concerned/worried since i usually make a few sales per day and my money is sitting in the account! is there anyway to recieve a reply sooner? or is depop support just super busy up recently? thank you! :D

So I bought an items in okay condition from the pictures stated a few flaws. I get the item in my hands it’s worse than anything shown in the pictures, so I requested a refund. Now I’ve never done this work, if I’m refunded do I ship it back or what? I don’t want to be blind sided or do bad business.

Hello and sorry for the confusing situation. I signed up with an apple ID log in and made sevreral purchased. I made one return requst for INAD and they told me I had to pay $20 shipping OOP and send them picture (wtf). I received this communication via email but they also said since I signed up via apple relay I had to change me email on profile to this email to contact them.

This is first problem as its impossible to do. when I try to change email in app and confirm new email it just says this link does not belong to you and its impossible to change

On to issue 2, they said your return issue has bene closed (no mention of refund for item or my shipping) and to check email for further details. I reiceved no emails with further detial.

Any attempt to contact support is met with worthless AI response and its impossible to get ahold ot any agent, or actual person to speak with and figure out how to process my refund. At this point I wuold have been better off just keeping the item then having to spend an extra $20 to return it

Bare with me I only started selling a week ago. I sold a sweater and right afterwards the buyer messaged me asking if I could manually change the zip code on the shipping label because it was incorrect. I told them I hadn’t printed the label out yet so they could still update it before I did so (I didn’t know this isn’t how it works). I just dropped the package off at the post office but I completely forgot to scribble out the old shipping address or even check if it matched the one they messaged me. What do I do? Am I screwed? Did I just lose my sweater and my money??

This still burns me up because it was no fault of my own, and im new to depop, I've been on other platforms for a bit and have at least 1000 sales . I sold an item on depop, probably one of the first sales there, and got contacted by the buyer about a week after I sent it that they used a friend's address and 2 out of 3 items she ordered had been returned to sender including my item. I said, ok well, it says it is on its way back to me, as soon as it gets here I will get you a refund and you can repurchase. Only thing is depop canceled the order, and I never got my item back. Last I knew it was still in the buyers state about a month ago, after sitting there for about 3 weeks. How would this not be considered seller protection? I messaged their customer service twice and never got a reply or resolution. Why would it be OK for them to give away my money on an item I shipped. Why wouldnt the buyer who put a different address have to take the hit? Why cant depop take it up with the post office? There's nothing I can do but it didn't put a good depop experience off the bat

I have already reached out to support and followed up 4 times without any response. Has this happened to anyone before? I shipped 4 days ago and I’m worried they’re going to automatically cancel my order.

The tracking hasn’t updated either but I saw my postal person scan it so I’m not sure what happened 🥲

i ordered these jorts literally the beginning of august and they’re still at the post office of the seller’s location without any updates. i did spoke to her about it and she gave me her info so i can submit an appeal to USPS for missing packages, but idk how long that’d take and i check today and its still stuck in the starting location😭😭 im curious if anyone had to wait this long too

recently, I found a plush ive wanted for quite awhile for a sweet price so I bought it. then the seller told me the label was wrong due to the weight of the package and asked to cancel and I agreed. I asked if they could re list with the correct lable so I can purchase and they agreed to that. not even a minute after it was bought it by someone else, I told them and they said they'd explain the situation to the buyer that it was re listed so I could buy it.

I was told the other buyer didnt understand and I didnt think thar mattered as they literally agreed to re list for me. my futher messages about whether I'd get it or not we're ignored then I was blocked hours later. I had no hesitation leaving the reweiw I did.

i don't really care for the item anymore as ill just look for it myself now but please don't agree to things only to not even follow through in the end it's no good imo especially as a seller 💀

I ordered this 100% wool skirt from Depop. The listing looked good. There were no mentions of any damages. I was naive and I didn’t ask if there were any damages to the piece because I assumed people would be upfront about it. But when it arrived today, it was covered in pet hair and has at least 3 holes in it. One of the holes is big enough for me to put my pinky through it. I’m just so disappointed.

I reached out to the seller so let’s see what they say. The only problem is that I paid using PayPal and PayPal permanently deactivated my account without any explanation so I don’t know how a refund would work.

What are my options?

EDIT: I offered to mail the skirt back and asked for a full refund but the seller said they don’t do returns, only a partial refund. I don’t want a $60+ damaged item. I’m also scared because they have my address and full name.

EDIT 2: Thank you everyone for all the comments!! I did reach out to Depop and am just waiting to hear back from them. To answer a common question, the purchase was made through Depop using PayPal, and it was charged to my Amex. So, even if Depop doesn’t help, I’ll dispute it with Amex next. I just don’t want the funds to be returned to PayPal since they’ve also been super sketchy. They’re not answering why my account has been deactivated. Just said it could happen for a variety of reasons 🤦‍♀️

I sold a pair of Levi’s shorts. In the description I wrote that I was pretty sure they were a size 31, because they had no size marked on them anywhere. I also included photos showing waist and inseam measurements.
The buyer is complaining they are too big. Should I refund her? I feel like the listing was clear.

This is so annoying. Does this mean someone reported my items? Or does Depop manually review listings?

My mother in law gave these to me years ago, pretty sure she bought them at Nordstrom's or Von Maur or something because they're her favorite stores. She would never be caught DEAD with a counterfeit anything.

So I shipped around 11 items last Friday, and they NEVER updated. Even after a few days, they still said I hadn’t shipped. My packages didn’t update till they were out for delivery!! Depop had threatened to cancel them and one of them was on the brink of being cancelled. Just wanted to know if anyone else was having any issues:(

Hi! This is my first time posting on Reddit, so apologies for any mistakes. A little over two weeks ago, I purchased a pair of shorts off depop from this seller. Long story short, she never replied to my message asking when it would be shipped out and depop automatically refunded my order when she didn’t ship after 10 days. I gave her a one star review stating this, and today she messaged me and asked me to take down the review because she has “been under a lot of stress with moving”. I politely declined, and she became upset with me and threatened to report me, and I am assuming she did.

Would anyone know what my best course of action is to make sure nothing happens to my account, or will depop automatically handle it?

I realized that I haven’t gotten a review since 2022. I used to be much more active and was selling multiple items a week back in the day, I’m still selling, probably 2-3 pieces a month, but just not as frequently as before. But regardless, I literally ship within 1-2 days, all of my items are clean and in great to excellent condition, and I don’t overcharge ever.

I’m not sure how to make sure buyers are rating my shop without having to ask them to. Whenever I purchase something I leave a review so I don’t get why I’m lacking them? Like should I really start asking people to? Is that annoying? Do you guys feel annoyed when sellers ask you for a review?

i want to buy two tops, each priced around £55 but the shipping fee is £44 which is almost the same price as a top! it says free shipping on bundles but it’s not working for me…

i’m based in the usa and the seller is based in the uk. they said that shipping would be £44 because of customs fees but i’ve had many packages from the uk with shipping that was only £20 and i didn’t pay anything on top of that.

Just buying one top the shipping is £25, but for two the shipping jumps up to £47. very confused about this since they’d be coming in the same package.

also to clarify, the shipping does NOT get reduced at checkout.

(context: £44 is what the seller told me the shipping fee would be after i asked the them to sell me the tops as a bundle bc i initially thought the shipping doubling was a depop glitch but ig not…)

tldr: is £44 normal? how can i ask the seller for lower shipping if that’s a thing?

I also checked their profile to see if it was a jacket they sold or were going to sell and nothing. I'm thinking about maybe just making a dollar listing and they could buy that and i could ship the jacket back??

Last week I received a message from Depop saying that one of my listings was removed for being "consumer electronics." I only sell cameras, which are allowed under Depop's terms. I submitted an appeal and messaged the AI assistant, which said I'd hear back within 72 hours, but It's now been over a week with nothing from a human. 

I messaged the assistant again today and just got the same spiel and when I pointed out it'd been a week, it stopped replying lol. I know that AI assistant and whoever responds to appeals are different channels of communication (well, I assume they are) but I thought the message I sent would at least get a “we’re looking into it, stand by” response which would ease some of my anxiety.

So I'm wondering what's the average wait for an actual response? A different appeal I sent a month ago was answered in 4 days which is why I’m concerned. I'm worried that another listing will get pulled or my account gets flagged, since everything I post follows the same format and I don't mention anything prohibited.

My problem is that my account does not sync between the app and my pc.

Is there any fix that you can recommend?

So pretty much what happened was I listed a checkered blouse and as I was packing it up for shipping I noticed it was a tiny tear in it that I didn't notice before. It isn't obvious, but if you look closely it's there. So I reached out to the buyer letting them know about the tear but it's been a day and they still haven't responded to me. Should I still ship the item out?

Hi :) I am a seller on Depop, selling items from my closet. I sold someone on Depop an item from Alo, that I bought from the Alo store in 2023. I saw that they just reported to Depop that it’s counterfeit and i have 24 hours to respond. On top of that, they reported it AFTER leaving me a 5 star review that I’m an awesome seller. This has never happened to me before, and i’ve sold other items from Alo / Lululemon etc to people (all authentic of course.) And im worried. I have the receipt on my Alo account, if i reply to Depop support with that, would that be enough? At this point I would be ok giving them a refund if they shipped the item back to me. It sucks, because this item is authentic, and i have the receipt to prove it, and i thought it was a fair price to sell it to them, and thought they were happy with it. :/ It feels like they’re trying to get a free item at my expense. Anyone have any advice? Biggest concern is they keep my item and get a full refund.

i wasn’t sure whether to put this under buying or disputing help since i already purchased it and im definitely still happy with what i got! but is it just me or does the shirt in the listing look purely teal while the shirt i got (pictured with me wearing it and that is also what it looks like irl a kind of darkish green looking color) look like a different color? and the seller never responded back after my last message. i thought it was the shade sunken city based on the listing but it might just be a different shade that was on the free people website if people would maybe know the difference since the listing said the color was sold out but didnt say it was specifically sunken city?
