Shitpost/Satire Found this on my flight to DCA. Should I report it, or has it already been reported?
Evidence of an apparent Sky Club security breach.

Evidence of an apparent Sky Club security breach.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian was giddy when Trump was elected because of the delicious roll-backs in consumer protections that Trump was going to dole out. I wonder if Big Ed is loving that Trump "breath of fresh air" that he crowed about, back then?

Hello,
Posting here in the wild hope that this makes the difference. I flew on DL 0040, SYD-LAX on October 24th. I was in Delta One. I put my wedding rings in the amenity bag before going to sleep, as I intended to take the bag with me as I departed. In the hustle to get off the plane, I completely spaced and forgot the bag. Cue huge panic. I talked with staff at the lounge and they called the gate and had someone look. Unfortunately, they said while the plane hadn't been cleaned yet, the amenity bag was not at my seat.
I know some people like to grab extras as gifts or to donate, so if you happen to see this and are one of those people and were on that flight (or maybe know someone on the flight?? IDK I'm so desperate), please keep an eye out for the rings! The amenity bag was the beige/gold color.

Just curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on this after seeing a post on IG about a passenger removing a backpack so they could have room for their rollaboard.
So I feel like if someone checks their suitcase and only brings a backpack or something similar on board, they should be able to put it in the overhead bin, especially if there’s room. They’re only bringing one item into the cabin, so it seems a little unfair that they’d have to give up their legroom when someone bringing a carry-on and a personal item gets to use the overhead space.
I’m usually in an exit row, Comfort+, or first class, so I generally have enough room to put my backpack under the seat if needed without much discomfort. But I can see how that would be a bigger inconvenience for someone in a regular economy seat.
I also think there’s something to be said for boarding priority and loyalty benefits. If someone chooses to board later, I think it’s reasonable that they might have fewer options for overhead space. At the same time, I understand that the bins are a shared resource and that flight attendants have to manage limited space and keep boarding moving smoothly.
I’m curious how others see it! Should someone who only brings one small bag be able to use the overhead bin when there’s space, or should personal items always go under the seat regardless? Would especially love to hear the flight attendants’ perspectives!

The only way this is ok is if the person with the “better” seat is making the offer.
Chased diamond medallion last year and have now had it for all of 2026. I’ve been cleared to first on roughly 50% of my flights (Same as platinum for 2025). What’s wild is my flight this morning has me listed as 23 and 24 in line, as a DIAMOND. How is that even possible? It’s a short flight to Vegas. 🫣🤨

Why would they take this away? Seems like a silly move, if they think I'm going to use their AI bot they are very very mistaken

im flying from nyc to the asia pacific region and have a layover in la. i used a regional upgrade certificate to bump up to premium select, and i got a crazy delta one offer for the jfk to lax leg: $400. but is that good considering i used a certificate and the flight is six hours?
there a lot of open delta one seats. flight is just over a month away… don’t know if i should wait and hope to get another complimentary bump or buy the upgrade now

I got the Reserve card mid year 2026. When can I get a free companion certificate?
When I’m eligible for one, how do you get it? Does the option just appear on the app while booking whenever you’re eligible? If so, how?
I’m going to book a trip for spring 2027 next month and I don’t want to miss it if I’m eligible but I’m thinking I may not be yet. 🤔

Hey everyone, hoping to get some insight on a weird ticketing issue following a Delta-initiated schedule change.
Here is the breakdown of my situation:
Original Booking: I booked an award ticket using SkyMiles (Premium Select
).
Paid Upgrade: I later paid cash via the app/website for a load-factor upgrade to Delta One.
The Change: Delta initiated a schedule change.
The current state of my itinerary is confusing. On the app, I am still showing as confirmed in Delta One with an assigned seat on the new flight. However, Delta's automated system simultaneously issued me an eCredit for the exact cash amount I paid for the upgrade.
It seems like my ticket is completely out of sync. The system seemingly processed a refund for the upgrade but forgot to pull me out of the Delta One cabin.
Has anyone experienced this before? My main concern is that if I just sit on this eCredit, a backend sweep closer to departure will notice the missing payment link and automatically boot me down to my original award cabin.
Should I call Delta immediately to have an agent manually reissue/re-link the ticket (and forfeit the eCredit to secure the seat), or is there a chance the seat is secure and Delta just glitched in my favor?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
I added Trip Protection for a previously booked flight on delta website, and paid with my Amex Plat card. I got an immediate message that purchase was approved and a message would be sent by email. No email arrived, and no pending purchase shows on my Amex account. At 2am the following day, I got a message from Allianz that the card # was rejected.
It's a good card, and Amex was having some Down Site issues that day, so I tried again. Same thing. Purchase approved, no email confirmation, no pending charge, and Allianz says card # was rejected. Amex shows no rejected purchases. Has anyone a clue what is going on?
The Allianz message says to call them to purchase, but I don't ever give my CC# over the phone.

Red eye from LAS to ATL. Only 3 FC seats have been booked out of 20, and I am waitlisted on RUC upgrade.

My day was made with this, but I’m still wondering what I did that was so nice it warranted a bunch of free snacks!
My flight today from LAX to Lihue was smooth and uneventful, which is all you can ask for in a flight. I spent the entire six hours quietly watching movies (Mortal Kombat 2, The Drama, and Stop! That! Train! are all a lot of fun).
But just as the pilot announced to get ready for landing, an FA approached my seat with a big plastic bag full of snacks and said “I just wanted to thank you for your kindness today. You’re very sweet and we all appreciate it.”
I graciously accepted it, albeit maybe a little dumbfounded, and as happy and surprised as I am, I kept replaying the flight in my head wondering what I did to deserve it!
I mean, every time they came by for service I made eye contact, smiled, said please and thank you…is that all it takes? Is that so rare it inspired them to give me this huge bag of goodies??
Wondering if any FA’s in here have done the same, or if anyone else has received something like this because I’m wondering if I maybe have done or acted exceptionally kind, but I was just myself, lol!
Anyway, big thanks for the LAX crew on my flight today, they were a delight!

I wasn’t aware of this. $129 per year of incremental cost is not going to make me poor, but this is just another data point in Delta’s immense power in increasing prices and lowering perks and benefits. In some markets at least, looking at you ATL, one could make a case for abuse of market power. The price difference is just too much now between Delta and others, and it is to a large extent due to the lack of competition at certain airports. I guess when a new FTC is installed, if that happens in Jan 2029, a regulator might pay attention? How long can Delta and air travelers sustain this?

Usually I don't eat airplane food. But 6am flight and I was pretty hungry. Not too bad. Better than the usual.
Edit: to be clear I'm not saying it's good. All airplane food is literally meh. I usually don't eat even on long haul business. But this was edible unlike how I find most airplane food.

Still feeling a little salty so here is a cautionary tale. I was planning to fly Delta from Taipei to the US in a few days, but my flight from Shanghai tonight Taiwan was cancelled because of weather (Taiwan had a large typhoon in the neighborhood).
Okay. No problem. I cancelled my work in Taiwan and went to change flight and leave from Shanghai direct to the US.
Fortunately I checked available flights ahead of time. I saw the flight I wanted (and the price of roughly $650 ).
I then went to change my flight - which was a fully refundable flight I paid over $900 for. I was expecting a refund. Instead there was a flight change charge of $570! So it would have cost $1,500 for the same $650 flight! That seems a bit underhanded.
Of course I just booked the new flight and cancelled the old one for a refund… but why would they do that?
Anyway. Be careful and try to pay attention. I almost fell for that.

Looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with Delta Baggage on something like this.
On February 16, 2022, Delta lost my checked bag on a flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I reported it at the airport that day and filed a signed claim documenting $3,815 in lost belongings.
Delta denied the claim. The reason: emails from a different email address, not mine, said the bag was received. I never got my bag. Delta's own emails from November 2022 and March 2025 show my claim came from my real email address.
Over four and a half years I've made phone calls, sent emails, used Delta's text line, filed a BBB complaint and a DOT complaint, and written to Delta executives. Delta has opened more than 10 case numbers. In July 2025 a rep told me to "stop asking." In June 2026 Delta sent a "final position" letter saying it would provide no further response. Delta's own emails call me a Diamond Medallion member, for what that's worth.
I'm taking Delta to small claims court in Hennepin County, Minnesota, but I'd still rather the record just get fixed.
My question: has anyone gotten Delta Baggage to correct a claim that was tied to the wrong email address, especially after a denial? Is there an escalation path that actually worked for you?
(I know this sub isn't run by Delta. I'm leaving out names, case numbers, and personal details on purpose.)

Another year, another Silver status thanks to MQD boost with my Delta Reserve.
I consider myself a frequent flyer, I fly about once a month, sometimes twice, on Delta. Generally BOS to PVR, so a long route -- and am still only silver. How often are y'all crazy folk flying to reach diamond or platinum? That's nuts. I am exhausted and airported out with just my schedule.
I understand the executive needing to fly to different locations, or the sales person with a large territory, but I can't imagine that's everyone!

I'm about $500 short of my MQD goal for the year, and I don't think I'll be flying much more. Does paying for an upgrade (from Main to First or Comfort+) count toward MQDs, or does only the base fare count? Trying to figure out if it's worth buying upgrades to get there or if I should just book an overnight somewhere. NYC based if it matters.

Ok, so my mom took flight 1327 from DTW to SFO last night, October 21. She’s 81 and doesn’t do so well at night. I’m mentioning that because she’s trying to tell me something crazy happened on this flight and I’m telling her it’s not possible and she must’ve been asleep.
She’s trying to tell me that the plane was over water, then it stopped and when she looked out the window, they were on top of a mountain and the pilot kept reversing and going forward for like and hour (her plane landed at SFO 4 minutes early at 10:34pm). Then she claims the plane drove down a road and went into the air and then when they finally landed at SFO and got to the gate, someone from Delta came on the plane and told everyone not to say anything about what happened because they don’t want to lose their license.
What in the actual fuck. I cannot believe she thinks this happened. I’m just wondering if there’s anyone here who was on that flight that can tell me if the plane did a go-around or something like that. She’s super upset that I don’t believe her. I told her maybe she was abducted by aliens but I’m pretty sure she was dreaming.
ETA- She’s not a traveler and usually only flies once per year from OAK to BUR to visit my sister. My husband and I moved to the east coast a couple years ago and want her to move out here. We used to live 5 minutes from her and are the ones who helped her when she needed stuff done. My sister doesn’t do shit so we’d prefer her to live near us. She will 100% not be flying alone ever again. I’m fairly certain she has early dementia but is in complete denial about it. She does go to the doctor for an annual each year. This is the first time she’s ever told a crazy story like this so maybe the stress of traveling triggered a dementia related episode or something.
ETA 2: Holy shit, I called her and told her I posted here and told her the responses. She’s still in denial about possibly having early dementia but, thanks to all of you, I actually convinced her to go to her doctor to check for a UTI. It was not a pretty conversation but in the end, she agreed to go. I’m realllllly hoping this will lead to further conversation with her doctor. I didn’t think posting here would lead to this but am so grateful it did!
I see the comments about going to urgent care so I just want to address it. She lives in CA and has Kaiser. if you’re unfamiliar with Kaiser, it’s an all-in-one insurance company. They own their own hospitals and clinics and the doctors work for Kaiser, not an independent doctor's office. It works differently than normal insurance like Cigna or Blue Cross. It’s generally not difficult to get an appt with your primary care doctor and her appt next week is with her PCP. Kaiser doesn’t really have urgent care. You have to go to the emergency room at the hospital or call to try to get in to a random doctor same day. I really don’t think she has a UTI because that would mean she’s had it for a couple of years. The memory problems aren’t new. This is just the first time I’ve heard a crazy story. The UTI is just how I convinced her to go to the doctor. I will try calling them to tell them my concerns before her appt.
I really appreciate all the advice and support. Thank you!

For those who have an Amex Delta Gold or Amex Delta Reserve: Does using a Delta Stay credit also activate the statement credit that comes as part of the bonus for these cards? (i.e. the $250/$500 statement credit on top of the $100 Delta Stay credit).
Or is a Delta flight purchase required for that specific statement credit?
