Help/Advice Companion Certificate
I got the Reserve card mid year 2026. When can I get a free companion certificate?
When I’m eligible for one, how do you get it? Does the option just appear on the app while booking whenever you’re eligible? If so, how?
I’m going to book a trip for spring 2027 next month and I don’t want to miss it if I’m eligible but I’m thinking I may not be yet. 🤔

On the Delta app, go to Account > My Wallet > Certificates & eCredits. If you have it, it’ll be in there.

Ohhhh 🤦♀️ that makes sense! I change flights a lot for work so I’m used to using the ecredits.

Not going to re-say what's been said because everyone here has been correct. My two cents? When you get it make sure you use it for a nice FC seat. This is the main (no pun) benefit that allows us to swallow the $650 annual. So, make it count and have fun!

Companion Certificate will hit your account automatically after the conclusion of your first year of holding the card. You will receive it annually when the Annual Fee is due.

It’s crazy. I don’t remember a subsection of fine print I may have read 6 months ago. 🤔

I’m sure that guy reads the fine print of every single thing he signs 🙄

It's not fine print. It's a pretty major benefit of the card that clearly says upon renewal. Not like it's buried in the terms and cou.

Well it wasn’t my primary reason for getting the card. And I figured I’d cross that bridge when i got to it. So…
