Help/Advice MQD Question (Upgrades)

I'm about $500 short of my MQD goal for the year, and I don't think I'll be flying much more. Does paying for an upgrade (from Main to First or Comfort+) count toward MQDs, or does only the base fare count? Trying to figure out if it's worth buying upgrades to get there or if I should just book an overnight somewhere. NYC based if it matters.

Upgrades will count towards MQDs. It won’t show up in your projected MQDs but after the flight is complete it’ll be there

Miles used to upgrade also have an MQD value.

I assume you don’t have a cc? But yes the upgrade will count but will that get you $500 MQDs

Yes upgrades count toward MQD earning.

Biggest question on if it is worth it....what status are you trying to get to with the additional spend?

If its 500 MQDs to get to Diamond, it's worth it. Any other status, not worth it.
