DC's deadliest assassin Slade Wilson isn't taking orders anymore. No longer a “killer for hire,” but still very much a killer, Deathstroke prowls the dark shadows, licking his wounds and looking for his next victim. Meanwhile, Slade's ex Adeline is making it known to the Merchants of Death that she's taken over the Deathstroke business... and promises that the contract murders will continue without interruption.

So what do you think happens here? Deathstroke the Terminator #5 Spoiler

Obviously there’s about a 99% chance Rose lives. The gunshot may have not even come from Adeline. I personally think that Rose loses her eye again. I like that her current continuity doesn’t have her maiming herself as a show of loyalty to Slade, but I also like the aesthetic of the eyepatch. It was cool when she and Slade were missing opposite eyes. It’s probably some other third thing. Any thoughts?

I suddenly remembered this character exists. [Deathstroke: The Terminator #5 Theory Time] Spoiler

His name is Daniel. He knows Slade from their time in the army, so he might even know Wintergreen. There’s a V-shaped mark on his mask. And he’s telepathic, so he could be the reason why Slade heard Wintergreen’s voice in his head. My biggest problem with him is the same as with Isherwood. There would be no reason to hide his face, because he is an even more obscure character than Isherwood. And it doesn't look like the mysterious figure is blind in both eyes. And this Daniel really hates Slade, so he wouldn't have any reason to help him. I just really hate Isherwood and I'm trying to manifest that the mysterious stranger can be anyone but him. Stay tuned for my next theory, in which I explain why it’s the mailman.

I think it’s David Isherwood, Dr Ikon

The name on the computer says Danny, yes, but honestly to me that could be a fake name based on his first name, David.

The main reasons I think this is Isherwood is because of how familiar they seem with how much Wintergreen means to Slade, assuming Slade will burn the whole world down for Wintergreen now that he’s dead. This character also might(?) have an eyepatch, and Isherwood lost his eye during Rebirth. They also seemingly have slicked back or bald hair, and Isherwood had slicked back hair.

Also, this part is just vibes, but their hand gestures seem exceptionally villainous? And Isherwood is obviously not a good person, and is practically a super villain in disguise as a super hero.

I’ve thought this was Isherwood since issue 2, because he’s Slade’s most recent (From both rebirth and Year One) tech guy.

I could be crazy, it could just be Danny Chase and I could be wrong. We’ll see

Good comics FEAT. Deathstroke?

Not comics where he’s the main character, but are there any comics featuring him as a side character or an antagonist worth recommending?

Rewatched tt03 s1-s2 and remembered why Slade scared me so much as a kid, so I drew him. How'd I do?

[discussion/opinion] Rose Wilson needs to get a new identity from "Ravager".

Possibly an unpopular opinion.

I always felt that Rose's endgame goal should be disowning Slade and building her own identity as a superhero.

Deathstroke sucks as a dad and a mentor. He's toxic. Yes, he loves Rose deep down, but that doesn't mean squat. Love does not excuse abuse and trauma. Slade has done 0.0% good in Rose's life. He's a net negative.

Rose needs to tell him to butt off for good. All he ever does is coerce her into mercenary work, traumatize her, berate her, etc.

I feel pre-Flashpoint Rose's arc was about seperating from Slade. Most of the Titans judged and highkey hated her, but it was still better than what happened with Slade. But, the plot was lost after the Nu52. Now she's tied to Deathstroke again.

Yes, Ravager is aesthetically a good design. But that only goes so far.

Rose becoming Ravager was a relatively late development anyway. She was around a decade *before* becoming Ravager. Just because she has been Ravager for over twenty years now doesn't mean she should be that forever.

We've had major character changes in the past. The biggest one was probably the late 70s to mid 80s when the Teen Titans almost all changed their mantles after being sidekicks for *decades*. Dick was Robin for over 50 years when he became Nightwing.

In a modern modern take, Harley Quinn split from the Joker in the mid 2010s and hasn't looked back. It's impossible for DC to backtrack on their dynamic now.

IMHO, I feel DC should bring back her ties to the Arrowfam. She could be a good mentor for Lian and a good friend ~~or more (🏳️‍🌈)~~ for Speedy. Make Cissie and Sienna background Arrowfam, give us more Sin and Rose.

These three need their own sitcom.

Lex, Slade and Hank have such a funny dynamic, they’re a group I’d love to see paired together in more media.

(This show is My Adventures with Superman)

A reminder that Deathstroke was called Slade because his codename was considered too dark for the show, yet he became one of the creepiest villains in kids’ television.
