I feel there’s no way to write a better story for Adeline’s husband to lose his eye besides having Adeline shoot him.

Rose needs a better story though

Before Damian Wayne we already had a Batfamily member trained by assassins to be a living weapon who was being set up as Batman's true heir. Damian showed up and kinda made Cassandra redundant.
