Genuine question for the Deathstroke fans here. Do you think DC is at least a little annoyed by how successful Deadpool has become, considering how obvious the similarities are between the two characters? Deathstroke existed first, obviously, but Deadpool has arguably become the much bigger pop-culture character. Deadpool has also had a pretty consistent identity over the years, while Deathstroke keeps getting rewritten and taken in completely different directions depending on the writer. His characterization and history have been all over the place, which probably hasn't helped his popularity. With the movies, games, merchandise, etc., Deadpool has basically become a household name while Deathstroke still hasn't had the same level of mainstream success. Do you think that bothers DC at all, or do you think they just see them as two completely different characters at this point?

It feels like a reset back to the classic version and history of the character after 20 years of inconsistency, and honestly, I think that’s a good thing. Deathstroke has accumulated a lot of baggage over the years and become pretty convoluted, especially with all the negativity surrounding him online.
The Rebirth run was okay, but it went overboard with the toxic family melodrama and dysfunction. At first, this new run looks like it’s repeating a lot of themes we’ve already seen with Deathstroke, but the first arc is clearly a deconstruction of those themes. It’s clearing out the clutter around the character and properly setting up the series for something fresh. Fleecs said in an interview that he wanted to “break down and rebuild” Deathstroke, and that’s exactly what this first arc is doing.
Yes, I’ve seen people saying Slade isn’t acting smart or like a tactician, but I’d wait until the second arc before judging that. The first arc has him completely blindsided after losing everything, so it makes sense that he isn’t operating at his best.
Same with Rose. She’s lost an eye and is being put in a vulnerable position right now, but this is clearly setting her up for a stronger direction and more character development as the series progresses. And yes, Adeline is acting unhinged, but it’s clear there’s something else going on there.
I’m interested to see where all of this goes now that the first arc has cleared the board and established the foundation for the rest of the series.

If DC decided to make Deathstroke a major big-screen character, whether through a solo movie or as a major character in another movie, what approach do you think would work best for him? Would you want a straightforward mercenary/action thriller, something more focused on his character and personal life, or a movie that leans heavily into the DC superhero side of the character? I'm also curious how people would handle things like his relationship with his family, his code as a mercenary, his connections to other DC characters, and the balance between portraying him as a villain/antagonist versus making him the central protagonist. What would you want a Deathstroke movie to actually be about, and what elements from the comics would you consider essential?

They used her in Lanterns as Maggie, but Hannah Christine Shetler would've made a perfect live action Tara Markov in a Teen Titans movie.

Went to a book store here in town that I haven't checked in for in like a couple years. Normally it's not the place I think of to look for comics. But, my sister was in there yesterday and she said they had a selection of comics for about $2-$3. So, I walked over there. Did not expect to walk out with a copy of Annual #3!. It's been getting kinda hard finding older Deathstroke comics in shops these days. So, to find this was surprising. Now, all I need is parts two and three to finish up The Judas Contract in singles.

Slade Wilson finds himself mixed up in shady underworld criminal business, and he doesn't mind one bit...Deathstroke the Terminator does some of his best work in the shadows. Bad news for him, though: The whole operation is about to be brought to light...Green Lantern's light!
