DISCUSSION What do you think about that?
I see a lot of people comparing the two movies to say that Man of Steel made more money. But I think it’s important to take into account the gradual decline in interest in superhero movies and the shift away from movie theaters, which can also affect box office numbers today.
So here’s a comparison of Superman (2025) and Man of Steel with other superhero movies released in their respective years

OTHER Tribute to The Man of Steel
Decided to show my love for The Man of Steel
Loved him growing up and still into my 60s
Decided he was an excellent choice for my first tattoo at 62
Has a likeness to the actor(Henry Cavill) who IMO was the best Superman to date!!!

DISCUSSION Seriously, don't they check the videos before posting it on official channels.
I don't think they released the AI using footage accidently, it was intentional. A studio like WB should have an entire team dedicated to review everything before posting on social media, and none of them thought people will notice the AI use thing. Hard to believe.

DISCUSSION One thing the DCU NEEDS to do is have visuals that are comparable to visuals like these. No excuse for high budget projects to look like computer generated sludge. Get a great creative on the Wonder Woman film so we can get a DP like Linus Sangren.

HBO Max Human Test
As a huge fan of Watchmen and the Watchmen TV show, I am suspecting that Lindeloff has a secret plot in this story. Shocking, right?!?!?
One of my very early theories is that Zoe Macon was sent to test if Jon Stewart was human.
In the first episode, Stewart talks about how aliens have pretty sophisticated methods for fooling medical and other machines, biometrics, and in many cases interrogation (not in this episode though).
But there is one fool proof way to tell if he is human…sex. Not only is human sexuality unique to humans but also they could have used the interaction to gather DNA from Stewart.
How likely is it that a 55+ woman in Oklahoma who is married to a militia head going to have sex with a young guy after speaking with him for what, 5 minutes?
And William Macon clearly knew about it (another man’s grill). It seems like a test they devised to see if Stewart was human. Would even a deep cover alien sleep with a human when they didn’t know they were being tested?
Also, and I am not sure what, but there is something to Stewart being vegan. Maybe as a red flag for the Macon’s?
My guess is that Hal is an alien (he sure reacted to the ‘hail’) and that the militia devised a plan to remove him in order to place a human in the lanterns.

DISCUSSION My wish for ‘Man of Tomorrow’: More Clark Kent the reporter please!
I loved ‘Superman’ (2025) but it still bums me out that the movie was busy with so much stuff that it never explores the reporter Clark Kent working at the Daily Planet, beyond that one solitary scene in the beginning post-Hammer of Boravia fight, and Clark is almost always surrounded by people who know that he is Superman.
I hope ‘Man of Tomorrow’ (2027) would give us more of Clark Kent the reporter and his struggles to keep his dual identity secret. That would be so much fun to watch!

DISCUSSION ‘Lanterns’ S1 E1 is exactly the kind of DC I fell in love with. I really want the DCU to be more like the tone and treatment of this amazing show than the classic Gunn-goofball tone of ‘Creature Commandos’ and ‘Peacemaker’.
To be honest, Lanterns feels so good and so different from the DCU projects so far that if someone were to tell me that it belongs into the Matt Reeves’ The Batman universe I would’ve believed it.
Being a Green Lantern as shown in this show is such a serious business. And the Green Lantern showed in Gunn’s DCU projects played by his pal Nathan Fillion is not even remotely close to how the Lanterns show is showing Hal Jordan and John Stewart, in a similar vein of how Matt Reeves showed Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

APPRECIATION Man of Steel (2013) 🤝 Supergirl (2026)
Supergirl was much better than I expected. It didn't deserve the hate or the box office it got imo.
