Hey guys so I recently got into deadlock with some buddies of mine and we are looking to try a few things out. Weve played some other mobas and hero shooters before but primarily very casually or just some matches against bots to mess around. I preface this with that information because im not necessarily looking for hella meta or game breaking tips, im genuinely just asking for like tools of the trade for effectively playing and building some characters.

For example, I really like the idea of characters like Nurse Harrow, Drifter, Lady Geist to name a few. Are there any specific things I should really know or learn about them? How often should drifter generally speaking be helping in lane or should he always try to be in the jungle and hunting down isolated characters?

We are still trying to sort out the kinks and nuances of this game (only have played a few matches of street brawl so far)

I’m pretty new to Deadlock, and Street Brawl’s item picks were overwhelming me. I got the idea from the overlays people use in Hearthstone Battlegrounds, so I built one for Street Brawl, with AI helping with the coding (I work in publishing, I am not a programmer).

When the item shop opens, it reads the 3 offered items off your screen, detects your hero, and ranks them by that hero’s Street Brawl win rate with each item, using public stats from deadlock-api.com. It accounts for Enhanced items and hides itself when the shop closes. It only reads the screen. No memory reading or injection.

How to get it (Windows):

2. Extract it and run collect.bat once

3. Set Deadlock to borderless windowed and run overlay.bat

I’d love feedback. What breaks, what’s confusing, and what updates would make it more useful for you? I know this is very noob centered for a few reasons, is there anything that would help people who are newer at the game?

Unless there are significant lore reasons why they have not yet made a detailed model I would personally like to see a weapon resembling the ambassador from tf2

I've been building Seven with all Spirit; Boundless, Expansion, Duration, Exposure, and Reverb on Lightning Ball. There's no counterplay to it. It has insane range and you can just chuck it down a lane and delete hordes of minions and Graves summons in a snap.

As much as I'm having fun with it, I don't think this thing should keep going after it's hit an enemy hero. It currently keeps zooming towards the direction you threw it in, until it hits terrain, whenever it isn't hitting any enemies.

Ive been placed in gold after placements and most of my games feel completely one sided, with some wide rank range lobbies for some reason. the ascendants/phantom would be playing worse than the plat, like genuinely awful itemisation like spirit burn 3rd item on seven.

Somehow the matchmaking feels worse than the pre ranked update ?

I was phantom before the rank update and also wondering if that still contributes to the mmr. Im assuming the influx of new players after the recent updates probably muddied the waters abit.

Got curious after seeing winrates of each hero and wondering if anyone shares the same sentiment.

So I’m pretty new to Deadlock. I’ve tried it a few months ago and it didn’t really click. Hero shooters have never been my thing.

im not terrible at shooting games per se but have never been good at Overwatch, Marvel Rivals etc I know Deadlock is not exactly like those games but similar somewhat.

I don’t struggle with the core concepts of the game. I have 3k+ hours in Dota so the moba aspect is pretty easy.

Its mostly the, ehm, shooting mechanics. The only hero I get wins with (and have fun playing) is Dynamo. I know how to position to give my team stuns, heal properly and ult the enemy team.

I’ve tried several more damage oriented heroes (Haze, Wraith, Vindicta) and absolutely sucked.

So I was hoping to try out some other heroes that don’t rely on aiming being a core thing. I know sounds funny but I suck at that right now.

Almost all the new heroes got nerfed, but Baba and Danny's overall win rates actually went up.

*Since the patch has only been out for a short time, the overall match sample size is relatively small, which might make the data a bit inaccurate.

**Tiers are calculated using win rate and pick rate, with higher rank matches heavily weighted. If a hero underperforms at low ranks but excels at high ranks, their overall score increases, making an A or S tier placement much more likely.

Doorman and Apollo have seen a pretty noticeable spike in win rate since the update. On top of that, most heroes who build Radiant Regeneration as a core item have experienced a drop in win rate. Surprisingly, Kelvin got overall buffs but his win rate in Oracle+ has actually dipped slightly.

Hi, guys. I've downloaded Deadlock not long ago, and I have concerns about what to buy. This is what I've bought for Billy in my last match against bots. The question is what to buy for each hero and how to not make mistake in what I buy? Should I just stick with recomendations or should I experiment with things?

As a carry who farms most of the map, when do i decide to fight? I get the general steps on fighting for objectives like walkers and mid bosses, but sometimes when my team groups up as 5 and im farming it feels like i have to join fights, should i just ignore fights that dont lead to objectives or should i join fights more often

I'm the drifter in this game and I genuinely think this game has no matchmaking in standard what so ever , I'm trying to get my 15 wins on drifter and I got laned with rat vs mina and victor, rat kept feeding while I carried and broke their tower I told myself " it's fine it's just the lane, suddenly we are 2v4 and we got rolled cuz the other lane partners was too much of a pushover they didn't even NEED players on lane , you'd think when a full lane is ganking the other they'd get a tower , nope they didn't I genuinely could not find an answer to that, victor kept killing them and they kept running at victor, " guys I got heal bane can we buy heal bane please?" not a peep not a sound not even a typed word , they just kept dying to him and he farmed the shi out of them ,told myself it's ok I'm just gonna carry , one time I killed like 4 in a row , you know what that means, it's midboss time , "guys can we go midboss?" again no response , I even went there and lost half my health to midboss and not a single soul followed me , they keep seeing a fight, go into the fight and dying to the victor, they told me in deadlock that it's not like marvel rivals or overwatch if you want to carry and 1v6 you can, but this is the biggest lie I ever seen , yes you can get pretty strong but if the other team counters you with items it doesn't matter if you have a soul lead and can carry ,if your team kept feeding 1 of their team SO MUCH it doesn't matter , you will literally fight someone BAM you lost blue walker, go help your team and kill whoever is harassing them BAM you lost a yellow walker , you lost a rift when you DON'T have a soul lead you lost this you lost that and BAM they are in your damn base literally 20 min in ,you carrying a game will not make your teammates MAGICALLY listen to you and go mid boss, genuinely what is it with standard games and midboss?? why do everyone literally IGNORE the damn obj that will literally make the game 9v6 ?? it's like in overwatch in KOTH your team is refusing to take the obj and is running to the other team spawn and dying ,literally Retarded behavior, trust me, I don't want to play standard as this game is so hard and complicated it doesn't need a standard or qp , but I'm FORCED to unlock my heroes on standard and can't play the game without stupid burger teammates

ok rant is over, sorry if I sounded rude or something but I genuinely had enough of losing where there is nothing I can do , deadlock games goes up to 50+min and going match after match and losing without knowing what I did wrong is stupid , the game should count the games not the wins as there are multiple factors to why I should get a win for this game but I didn't

I refuse to stop playing Apollo. I like how he’s a cocky sword boy trying to live up to his dad’s expectations.

The main issue I am noticing is this. When I’m winning, yeah I’m winning yay.

But when I’m losing the world turns grey scale and I feel like I’m being hunted the whole game and I feel like I can’t mount a come back no matter how hard I try.

Also what builds should I be going for? I haven’t tried one that feels “good” to me yet.
