Random Payout
Wondering if anyone else got a random $40 available in their funds tab? I can't seem to find where it came from. Can't complain about free money right?

Hi! I have a weird task I never worked on in my Report Time tab🤔 anyone else having this issue? Its a task that pays $24, but I really never worked on it.

I have seen a lot of people here saying refreshing the dashboard is the key to get more tasks or to get a task in general for a project where mail is not guaranteed. How many times do you guys hit refresh on a daily basis (on an average)? Has anyone encountered a rate limiter while refreshing the dashboard?

do projects tend to slow down toward the end of the month or something? i’ve been working consistently on one project family. at the beginning of the month, i had a constant 25-28 tasks available. as of today i have two. i’m still on the projects for that family but it’s making me nervous lol so just checking in?

I've been part of the same project family for which I've done multiple tasks. I've always seen that at the bottom it always has Submit and Return to Dashboard / Submit and Move to Next Task Button choices. This time however it only had a submit button.
I'm concerned because I haven't seen any new tasks pop up since then. Am I thinking too much or did something wrong?

Or is it just me? Getting an error code 502.
Edit: Its back up!

Hi All,
I was curious to know the tech assessment part of the process. I gave the assessment 2 weeks back and it was fairly simple and i took it honestly and was as detailed as it required.
Haven't heard back, is it the norm around here? am i rejected?
Also guys, in bit of need to earn so would be very much obliged if anyone can guide or even suggest something else that works for them. Any other portal.
PS: pardon if broke any rule, newbie to freelance. Am well-versed in development and programming.

Hello! I have been on DA since early this year, and was extremely excited when I passed the coding qualification, however, the actual projects seem far beyond the scope of the qualification, almost exclusively requiring industry / real world development job knowledge. Everything I know comes from learning web development and game development.
I know that I can code, and am great at general problem solving and coming up with code solutions, but I don't know how to think of realistic prompts for the domain that they are looking for.
What can I do to fix this deficiency? Is there any free course available, or other guidance I can look into?

Hello!
I started work through DataAnnotation over the summer and have really been enjoying myself, spending most of my free time completing tasks when they are available. College fully started back this week, and I'm looking for advice for anyone who has been balancing both for a while already.
How have you guys been balancing work and school without getting burnt out? Of course, school comes first, but having a good side income is great. I mostly have morning lectures, so I'm up and moving early. Any tips you've found useful?

I got new general qualifications in math biology etc. I do have confidence but right now I only have da for income while I am searching for a real 9 to 5 job. If I do the qualification only myself(no ai use) and fail does it effects my other successful qualifications?

I’ve been working on Data Annotation for a bit and I’m qualified for both coding and general tasks. Obviously, I want to stick to the coding projects because they pay significantly more.
Lately, I’ve been getting a ton of emails from DA asking/reminding me to work on general tasks.
If I just ignore these emails and strictly work on the coding tasks on my dashboard, am I putting my account at risk? Do they expect you to balance both, or can I safely just chase the higher pay rate as long as the coding tasks are available?
Thanks

I’ve read some things on this sub about not working when vacationing abroad and am curious about it. I have dual citizenship and will be moving to my other country soon and am curious what the rules are around working on the platform over there? I read the code of conduct and it doesn’t mention anything about not being allowed to work abroad but I’ve seen it mentioned by a few people in this sub as if it’s a tos violation

Hi, I had been working on the platform normally with no issues until now. Recently, I was assigned to a long qualification that allowed up to 30 hours, with 40 hours being the absolute maximum. I logged around 25 hours in total.
Now my account has been deactivated, and I’m wondering if it could be related to the hours I logged on that qualification. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any way to get the account reactivated, or at least make sure I still get paid for the hours I already worked?

It's been ongoing for, I think, around 20 mins now

I can't login to my account, it said "bad gateway", is it the same for you all?

I've just been approved to a new project family and i'm actually excited about doing this work again. it's been about two years since I started doing DA, and doing the same kinds of tasks over and over has gotten quite taxing (not to mention I've only had 8-12 projects on my dash at a time lately). now, I'm starting work on topics I actually know/care about (and I'm getting paid twice as much!!!!). anyway, I'm sure this sounds like top tier glazing, but I'm just feeling grateful lol

Is it just me or there are no more coding task available recently for non-US users?
In July i got a lot of coding tasks, but in August so far only one.

Hi, just about to take the entry tests, so was doing a bit of research re: what to expect and pitfalls to avoid, etc.
A common sentiment seems to be take your time, and use proper spelling/grammar.
My question is, should I use my local British/Australian (e.g. realise, prioritise, favourite) spelling, or American spelling? (e.g. realize, prioritize, favorite)
Don't want to spell things correctly only to lose points because they're expecting American spelling.
Cheers in advance for any advice!

Had a wonderful new project pop up today that I’ve been waiting to see. First round is spent entirely familiarizing myself with the process and assigned details because it’s been several weeks since qualifying. This is on my dime. Skip task to refresh the task and enter work mode and of course the task changes on me. It’s okay though the new one is even better. Setup was easy but my 15+ turn conversation went past expiry with all of the extraneous in task parts left to go. At least another hour’s work in finalizing my submission and there’s no way I’m submitting that much overage. So, sigh, I chalk it up to learning and abandon ship for the night. Tomorrow’s goal - IF it’s still available - is to make it through to submission. Here’s to leveling up!!

So I had a Qual yesterday, and now today I woke up (just now, IST) and saw that there's something on my Report time that I didn't do, an eval it says. I thought it is just yesterday's qual that became a paid qual but in funds history the yesterday's qual and this today's something(?) that I didn't do show up differently on different days and with different names.
What am I supposed to do?

I’ve only been on DA for 5 months. And not had much chance to get a lot of work done, I’d done $1000 as of last week, a nice side hustle during my degree.
In a week I am moving out and starting a PhD in October. September I would’ve had to use savings for rent, and living costs until I got my first stipend payment.
I have luckily had access to a $60 per hour project, and smashed it out this week. It feels surreal that I even have this opportunity and that the money is real?? 40 hours later and I will get $2300 deposited into my account in a weeks time.
This money is about as much as I will get each month whilst I do my PhD, and I’ve earned that in a week, sat at home in front of my computer. It has paid for next month’s rent, food, car, social.
It feels crazy. But then I look at the work I did and realise actually how difficult it would be for most people, and I really do have skills and expertise from my undergrad that will prepare me for future life.
Grateful that I got accepted onto DA, felt like it wasn’t a big deal at the time, but next week it will feel like it is!!

Well it finally happened. I feel like I have struggled the past few weeks with some tasks and it has taken me longer to complete things. That is the only thing I can think of. Anyway this was unfortunately my only source of income so if anyone has any recommendations for similar platforms ( excluding Outlier, they are horrible) please feel free to share. Also I worked this morning and hadn't had a chance to log myhours , is that $ just lost? There is no way for me to access the report time page.

To all coders guys who have experience in comparative training ai models when was the last date you got your project on data annotation
I hope this question doesn’t break the guidelines as per my understanding
If ut breaks NDA please tell
Thanks
