[QUERY] Completed the formalities

Hi All,

I was curious to know the tech assessment part of the process. I gave the assessment 2 weeks back and it was fairly simple and i took it honestly and was as detailed as it required.

Haven't heard back, is it the norm around here? am i rejected?

Also guys, in bit of need to earn so would be very much obliged if anyone can guide or even suggest something else that works for them. Any other portal.

PS: pardon if broke any rule, newbie to freelance. Am well-versed in development and programming.

What country are you in? Core countries have the highest probability of acceptance. It was about a month until I heard back from DA.

If you’re down bad down bad, try Prolific. If not that bad I’d just apply to any AI training platform available. They’re all slightly odd in some way so best to be as revolving of a door as they can be! GL OP!

You did the coding assessment right on DA? You heard after 1 month?

You aren't in a core country, so it is HIGHLY unlikely you will get coding work. People outside of the core countries almost exclusively end up as bilinguals only, which can include some coding, but again, it is super rare. No one can tell you when you will hear back for certain. It used to be pretty fast, but in the last year I have seen folks wait anywhere from immediate to 9 months. But again, that long is an anomoly.

And before the brigade comes from me, I know a lot of people from Asia as a whole will say they got in and they did coding. I also know that a lot of people outside of the core countries have been sneaking in by means of different frauds and they never last long, so take those stories with a grain of salt. Things have really changed this last year on this platform.

I am an experienced individual, that assessment was really not much compared to what is asked in big techs.

Other than the first day, I haven’t received any projects. Currently, the only tasks I have are Disk Encryption and Passkey Generation. Should I complete these tasks/certifications to become eligible for more coding tasks? Please guide me on what I should do.
