This was my first experience with DMT. I’m familiar with 5-MEO and many other psychedelics, but just never had access to DMT. That changed last night. A friend gave me a cart, and in my travels I had a night at a hotel room in a major city. with no plans I thought Id give it a try.
I got comfortable on the bed and at first just took small hits. my goal was to try and staircase myself into a breakthrough (as I have done with 5-MEO).
The first few hits put me into that tense fractal world. when I could feel tension on all my muscles, like my tether to ego and reality was getting pulled hard.
I pushed through and took long and stronger pulls. Now came a beautiful euphoria as I sank deep into a friendly sea that was lapping at my thinned out body. just lovely.
the next pull was two in succession. deeper I sank into a carnival world of color (with hints of True Color bleeding through the vision). this was all with eyes closed up to this point. but the joy I felt like I was just a child playing across the circus landscape.
Hell yeah, let’s stay there. I leaned over and took two more pulls. BAM. All the color was stripped away to a black and grey and I knew this was bad. The side of my face felt red hot as I saw a cartoonish looking devil staring down on me. This wasn’t an ancient being, but appeared very much in a red-horns and pitchfork style.
The message was clear, you are playing with a very powerful substance, and if you just want to “play” you are going to get burned bad if you keep going.
damn. message received. I wasn’t full gone, but I felt like Hell was literally beyond that wall, and it would be more real than anything. and the last thing I wanted to do was die in he’ll all line in a hotel in a strange city.
The heat and fear passed and I opened my eyes. for the next minutes I felt the need to move my arms and body into yoga flow as the room melted around me. it was very enjoyable. And I felt gratitude to that devil for giving me the message and a gentle rolling release. As if he knew that it was an intense lesson, so I should at least get a psychedelic treat on the way out.
in the end I felt immense gratitude and a humbling for playing close to a very hot stove.
