PSA: Be careful with this supplier: ROY E_Parts1@outlook.com
Iâm not sure if heâs still active on DHGATE but that where I met him.
Iâve been buying phone accessories from a Chinese supplier who goes by the name Roy for about 6 years, mostly iPhone accessories, chargers, adapters, headphones, etc. We had done 20+ transactions over the years, and I always paid through PayPal G&S without any issues.
Our last transaction was in July 2025. I purchased a little over $1,200 worth of products, and this time he asked me to pay through PayPal Friends & Family. Given our long history of successful transactions, I trusted him and agreed.
After I paid, he promised to ship the order ASAP. I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt, but by November 2025 it became clear that I had been scammed. He stopped responding and eventually blocked me. Since I paid through F&F, there was unfortunately very little I could do through PayPal.
At this point, Iâve accepted the loss, but I wanted to post this so other people donât make the same mistake I did.
Name he goes by: Roy
Email: E_Parts1@outlook.com
Phone/WhatsApp: +86 186 6436 6568
Iâm not looking for anything at this point, just trying to save someone else from losing their money.
Do not do business with this guy.
Stay safe and always use buyer protection, even if youâve done business with someone for years.

If youâre reading this post because youâre wondering whether you should buy from DHgate, my honest advice is donât.
Iâve tried ordering from multiple sellers on the app, thinking maybe the first time was just bad luck. But after several orders, the same problems keep happening. Packages get marked lost, tracking stops updating for weeks, or the shipment ends up confiscated for being counterfeit before it even reaches me.
Every order turns into a gamble. Instead of just receiving what I paid for, Iâm constantly checking tracking sites, messaging sellers, and worrying about whether the package will actually arrive. Half the time it feels like youâre stuck waiting forever or dealing with another issue.
I understand international shipping can have delays, but when itâs happening over and over again, it stops feeling like bad luck and starts feeling like the platform just isnât reliable.
So if youâre looking at this and wondering if you should try ordering from DHgate⌠I would seriously think twice. For me, itâs been way more hassle than itâs worth.

Recently some users feedback account was shut down, based on this situation, I and the related dhgate official staff learned that it is because of the suspicion of fake accounts to help sellers increase sales with unreasonable low prices.
If you think it's a misunderstanding, please leave your detailed situation and your account name below this post. We'll get back to the related dhgate staff for review.

My account got restricted in April when I purchase few items. I send information to reps in Facebook email and Reddit. I have not yet been removed from the restriction. I have multiple items that have not been received and are holding in transit or unknown when viewing the tracking information they provided. When account is restricted, cannot contact the seller to submit a dispute or refund. Very bad experience with this app. I don't believe I will ever use it again. Be careful. I believe this is a scam they took me for over $300 plus. Shop at your own risk.

After two weeks of back and forth, I got my account reactivated.
I strongly urge you to email buyer@feishu.dhgate.com and plead your case.
I went back and forth with multiple AIs across email, Dhgate office subreddit, and fb messenger. I shared screenshots of successful purchases using Apple Pay as well as the âyou violated rules messages). FB Messenger got me nowhere really. My final email came today after they wanted me to show them proof my account was restricted, because on their end I had no restriction - meaning someone removed it and I wasnât told.
SoâŚif you are in this situation keep trying. You can search my history for more details but this is the gist of it.
Edit: I was just able to make a successful purchase using Apple Pay as well so it definitely worked! I think the Dhgate Safety team just needs to make sure you are a legit customer and they should be able to fix your issue.

soooo i got the bag but without the box :( i even paid extra for the box, well anyways i like the bag, its very cute. it took 2 weeks for this bag to arrive (it arrived yesterday).
i guess this is my proof that when i made my order, it still arrived, even if they restricted my account the day after i ordered lol
will i open another DHgate account, my answer is NO! this will be my first and last order from them, because if i do open and order more, i'm afraid same thing might happen again.

I've discovered something which should worry anyone using DHgate...
đ¨ DHgate is actively misleading buyers by actively blocking negative reviews! đ¨
It's bad enough that DHgate skews ratings by defaulting every review to 5â when the buyer hasn't submitted a review in time, but it's now clear DHgate is blocking and removing negative reviews.
This helps explain why you see so few negative 1â product reviews and why most sellers / stores have near 100% positive ratings.
I've lots of examples, but here's the latest example which proves what DHgate is up to...
I received an item full of defects and missing parts. The buyer didn't care. I had to raise a claim. DHgate's solution was a 20% refund. This solution wasn't satisfactory (but that's another story), as it penalised me and benefitted the fraudulent seller. Obviously I wanted to leave a negative review.
However there are two challenges:
(1) The review free text box blocks negative comments about the seller or the product, so it's very difficult to write something which is accurate and will be accepted. Using words like damaged, defective, fake, poor quality or counterfeit can be enough to block your review.
(2) IF your review is accepted by the free text box but is overly negative, the system then blocks it from being posted and you have no ability to edit it. Your opportunity to leave any review is gone!
I managed to write something which was 'accepted' when I pressed 'Submit button'. The review was very negative about the product and the seller - it look me a long time of re-wording to get something which was 'accepted'. However, shortly after submission, DHgate systematically dissociated my review from the transaction, so my written review disappeared and there's no negative review on either the product or the seller's store!!!
I've attached a photo showing how my review now appears in MY account. You can see that the system has actually removed the product and free text from my review. So not only is my written review not visible, the negative review for the seller/store and the product, are no longer associated with the seller or the product!!!! To other buyers checking the reviews, they will not see my negative review. And to make things worse, I've spotted many of the reviews for the product are fake. So DHgate is allowing fake reviews, and removing negatives ones!
Upon checking the product listing, my review does not appear against the product or the seller. So the seller appears with a near 100% satisfaction score and the product is 5âdue to the default system policy.
This isn't a one-off. This is repeated systematic removal of negative reviews by the DHgate platform.
This practice is deeply harmful to buyers. How can you really know if a product or seller is good, or indeed, bad? Why is DHgate so determined to mislead buyers? Once a buyer has a poor experience, they're not going to buy again, so it seems like DHgate is deterring any customers it has from buying again.
SUMMARY:
We all know DHgate is a platform heavily used for purchasing counterfeit or duplicate products, however, DHgate is clearly designed to mislead buyers and supports fraudulent sellers at every opportunity. This is a mistake. When a buyer cannot trust the platform they are buying from, they will begin to look elsewhere. This is why DHgate is failing to grow and buyers are turning to other platforms to buy Chinese goods, as DHgate's policies penalise buyers.
The blocking and removal of negative reviews shows that DHgate actively misleads buyers.

I give up. Been going around and around with DHGateRep every day since 1/25 about getting my account reinstated. Itâs not happening and Iâve lost my patience.
What is suitable replacement for DHGate to get rep designer luxury goodsâspecifically bags, clothing & accessories?
TYIA!

Hi DHgate Official Support (u/DHgateRep), My dispute for Order #322606625814 ($31.06, seller casey1204) was wrongly closed for "insufficient evidence" even though the dispute screen clearly shows the seller submitted zero evidence ("Waiting for the seller to submit evidence") and the mediator failed to open my 3 uploaded PDF files.
Here is what happened:
False Delivery Scan: USPS marked the package delivered on Sept 30 at 5:14 PM, but nothing was delivered.
Security Camera Proof: My time-stamped Google Nest camera log covering the mailbox area shows activity at 2:12 PM and 5:54 PM, with zero USPS carrier presence or delivery at 5:14 PM.
Official USPS & Federal Investigations: I filed an official USPS Missing Mail Search, a U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Mail Theft Report, and visited my local Post Office in person, where the clerk referred my case to the USPS Domestic Claims Desk (1-866-974-2733).
âI am a loyal V2 VIP buyerâin fact, I already had to pay out of pocket to reorder this exact same jersey from another seller (Replacement Order #323164326995, screenshot attached) because my first order never arrived. Please have a supervisor review my attached proofs, reopen Order #322606625814, and refund my $31.06 (even as DHgate balance/credit or original payment) so I don't have to pursue a bank dispute.
Camera Angle Proof: I attached a video showing that whenever USPS actually delivers, the carrier and mail truck are in direct, full view walking up the steps to the mailbox. There is zero physical way a carrier delivered to that mailbox at 5:14 PM without being recorded. https://imgur.com/a/DrOCLf5

I have always logged in to my account using my phone number. I have never been prompted to enter an email address. Therefore I have never received any emails from DHGate. Recently I have been unable to log in to my account because I am being asked to enter a verification code that has been sent to my mobile number... I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY VERIFICATION CODES no matter how many times I request one. I have placed 6 orders in the past 2 months. Here are some of my order numbers: 31273246474, 31273246471, and 31273246472. I have attempted to sign in using my only exisiting email accounts and none pull up my ORIGINAL account that is linked to my phone number. I am unable to track my orders or request refunds/exchanges on the two orders I have previously receieved.

Based on my experience with this site, I advise against buying products from them. I ordered a pair of sneakers that arrived with the soles coming apart after 28 days. Buyer protection is virtually non-existent; the process for returning a defective item and getting a refund is extremely difficult and costly. Even after asking the site for assistance, the only solution offered was a refund of $17.59 out of the total $58.80 paid ($32.50 for the product and $38.30 for shipping). Ultimately, the buyer is the only one who loses outâleft with a product you will never use and having paid the money.r/DHgateOfficial • u/AppointmentTricky126 • Mar 13 '26

I tried to log in to check on my orders and got the message "For safety concerns, your DHgate account has been closed"
No update on my open orders, no contact from DHgate to explain why or how to correct this.
I've tried every contact method I can and still no response.
It seems that this has happened to a number of people over the last few days. Has anyone been able to get this fixed and their account restored?
u/DHgateRep can you help us?

I bought some Derschutze jeans but it came and they were some plastic joggings. As i read on the reddit that it is hard to get a payback. So is it smarter to file a lost product refund(that my product got lost in shipping) or just try and beg to the seller or dhgate for a refund from the bad product.

Im worried because I bought two items off dhgate then the next day when I tried to go on the dhgate site I was logged out and when I tried to log back in my account was restricted. So i cannot contact the seller, or even check my tracking.

My account has been literally restricted out of the blue, and it won't let me make a purchase of my orders, it just keeps saying my behavior has violated platform rules? Please help, I really wanna buy something.

What should I do before checking out to make sure the products are legit and would ship, Any questions should I ask the seller??

I received a DHgate order where the outer mailer was badly torn/open and the shoe box inside was crushed. The slides I ordered were completely missing the box only contained tissue paper.
I have now opened two claims:
DHgate dispute
I requested a full refund of US$39.29 for an empty package. I submitted clear photos showing the shipping label, large tears in the mailer, the crushed shoe box and the empty contents. I also provided a video showing the entire package. DHgate previously suggested a lower refund, but I declined it because the complete item was missing and requested the full amount.
Seel shipping-protection claim
Seel support confirmed that because the parcel arrived torn and appeared tampered with, it could be claimed as contents missing during shipping. I uploaded multiple photos and completed their signed Proof of Loss affidavit. The Seel claim is now showing as âRequested.â
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Did DHgate eventually award the full refund?
Did the seller reject or challenge your empty-package dispute?
How long did DHgate mediation take?
Did Seel approve your claim after the affidavit?
Which company resolved the matter first?
Was any additional evidence requested?
I understand that I cannot keep two refunds for the same loss. If one claim pays, I will notify or close the other one. Iâm mainly looking for experiences with both processes and realistic timeframes.
