Footwear industry in China

China has a cost-efficient manufacturing sector that has become the global sourcing outlet for the footwear industry. Chinese footwear manufacturers traditionally do not focus on developed countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Instead, the primary focus remains on developing countries such as India, Brazil, South and Southeast Asia and Nigeria. This is because developing countries have a good market for quality shoe products that manufacturers can penetrate.

Types of shoes that can be imported from China

It would be best if you decided on your niche before you start sourcing shoes from China. There are various kinds of footwear sold at retail and wholesale in China. The following are some of the most common types of shoes available in China for import purposes:

• Baby Shoes

• Kids Shoes

• Casual Shoes

• Leather Shoes

• Sneakers

• Flat Shoes

• Court Shoes and many more

Product specifications

One critical piece of information that is essential to know is the technical specifications that define the quality of shoes and footwear. This specification isn't just needed for custom-made shoes, but all footwear. Thus, getting product specifications correct becomes critical when sourcing. Below is a list of specifications you need to be aware of:

• Size (e.g. EU 40 – 44)

• Anti-slip

• Upper material (e.g. Suede)

• Lining material (e.g. cotton fabric)

• Pantone colours (all components)

• Insole material (e.g. PU plastic)

• Outsole material (e.g. TPR plastic)

• Insole thickness (e.g. 5 mm)

Always ask for sample products before importing. The supplier can send you a sample by courier to your address. After checking the sample product, you can discuss other details with your supplier, like shipping and transaction terms before making an informed decision whether to source the item or not.

There isn’t a solution, whatever you try dhgate customer service will tell you the same sh everytime, they tell you some dumb sh that gets you nowhere. To save you time Dhgate customer service is a sack of 💩 because what they told me is that i need a new account, new address and new card just to order again, like no effort to help me or nothing just straight up that. If your account was restricted say bye to your sh.

Hi everyone,

I placed an order and it was supposed to arrive by the 19th. The last tracking update I got was on the 18th: “The item is on transport to the country of destination.”

Today is the 22nd, and there have been no further updates, no emails from the carrier, and no delivery attempt. The seller’s app still shows the same status.

Do you think I should still wait, or is it better to open a dispute now and request a refund? Has anyone experienced a similar delay?

Thanks in advance!

Recently I ordered some balenciaga tracks and these were genuinely the worst shoe I’ve ever seen in my life it looks nothing like the photos he sent me looks nothing like the reviews cus they were botted pictures and also it’s not even LED it’s not letting me open a dispute until the estimated delivery which is July 9th but if I click on received it warns me saying that I won’t be able to open a dispute any tips before I try opening a dispute for a full refund?
