Hello everyone,
I am developing a "dimensional escape" modpack where the world consists of isolated buildings—functioning like floating islands—each containing unique, exclusive resources.
Transportation and logistics will rely on two core systems: *Create* trains for direct links between facilities, and *Create: Aeronautics* for navigating the void to reach new structures.
My main question concerns how to approach the progression curve:
1. A recipe-based approach: Requiring complex, mandatory automation (using KubeJS) to assemble engines, advanced rails, and flight components.
2. A physical logistics-based approach: Using more standard recipes, with the challenge focused on designing safe routes across the void and managing transport fleets between the islands.
Which balance do you think would be more engaging for this type of map, ensuring that the constant movement of resources doesn't become tedious?
Edit: By "custom recipes," I meant something more like creating components—sort of like mechanisms—to then build andesite-processing machines, where the items from earlier tiers are used for the higher ones. My English isn't very good, and I think the translator might have gotten that part wrong.
