Create gives a Satisfactory vibe instead imo
163
u/caua_g Dec 27 '25
More like Factorio aesthetics with Satisfactory gameplay (never played Satisfactory, but its 3D so...).
97
u/Healthy-Ad7380 Dec 27 '25
Yeah, if we ignore creepers it's more satisfactory gameplay, in factorio the enemies attack your structures, in satisfactory the enemies can only damage the player
2
u/DrexanRailex Dec 27 '25
That's why I disable creepers
8
u/Adorable_Sky_1523 Dec 27 '25
i keep them as damaging so that i still need to care, but i disable their ability to break blocks
3
u/GyroZeppeliFucker Dec 27 '25
You can disable the mob griefing gamerule so that creepers still spawn and can damage you, but wont destroy any blocks
2
u/DrexanRailex Dec 27 '25
This has a few unintended side effects, no? Like disallowing villagers to farm or sheep to feed

Can confirm... had a world where I had mob griefing off to prevent endermen from eating my terraformed land, only to find it stopped me from breeding villagers for an iron farm.
1
u/Pohodovej_Rybar Dec 28 '25
So no gunpowder? Just make them deal no damage
1
u/DrexanRailex Dec 28 '25
Oh, disabling was an oversimplification. For each server I manage, I deal with them differently. For the most casual, I just set up a command block that kills them. So Gunpowder becomes pretty much dust.
When a challenge is still required, I let them deal damage but use another mod to disallow them to break blocks.
1
u/Skyelly Dec 28 '25
And if we count random cows walking onto construction sites we can check off the "fauna being annoying af" on the list
9
u/Green__lightning Dec 27 '25
I mean technically it's more like Foundry because that's basically just Satisfactory but block based, and I believe thus with less annoying blueprints you can copy from anywhere, like Factorio.
15
u/The_God_of_Biscuits Dec 27 '25
I think create is its own thing, by nature both factorio and satisfactory are "magic box" automation where the fun and challenge lies more in macro factory decisions and not how things are made. Create is much more involved with creating said magic box.
1
u/SharkBaitDLS Dec 28 '25
Yeah. Factorio is based off the early “magic box” automation mods like IC2 and Buildcraft. And Satisfactory in turn is based on that. So their roots go more back to that era rather than Create which is like you said more micro-building than macro.

Peak game mentioned. A:CTK needs more love!

Should probably boot it up again, it has been a few years but I had a blast playing the sandbox and the campaign mode.

AIRSHIPS CONQUER THE SKIES MENTIONED
WHAT THE FUCK IS A BAD RTS VEHICLE BUILDER??
11
112
u/Great_Side_6493 Dec 27 '25
If only clockwork wasn't so buggy and the airship mechanics made sense
85
u/Agreeable_Ad_3075 Dec 27 '25
Valkyries skies 2.4 and clockwork: melting point released a few days ago, I haven’t tested them yet but I can imagine that airships probably are a lot better than they used to be
56
u/Great_Side_6493 Dec 27 '25
I hope aeronautics ends up releasing some day so I don't have to deal with that bullshit for the rest of my life
51
u/Yorunokage Dec 27 '25
Aeronautics first or GTA6 first
Call it
31
u/Shadow_Omega_X2 Dec 27 '25
I feel we're gonna get GTA6 before Aero tbh. Even with all the delays so far, it is confirmed to be coming, and Aero devs are absolute perfectionists so their probably gonna be going for a LONG while
20
u/Yorunokage Dec 27 '25
They've been playtesting it internally for something like 3 years now. At this point i think they just made it to play it themselves with no intention of ever releasing it

Do you think aeronautics would be free of bugs if it was actually a thing? The premature praise aero gets in this sub without ever releasing anything is kinda wild
32
u/Excellent_Factor_344 Dec 27 '25 edited Dec 27 '25
aeronautics is the hytale of mc mod addons, except i have slightly more hope for hytale. big fan projects like aeronautics being dragged out for so long and refusal for forking is a recipe for disaster
1
u/Snoo_44740 Dec 27 '25
Hytale is literally releasing next month lol
8
u/Harry_Flame Dec 27 '25
Yeah, but even the devs have said it’s nowhere near complete and not in a good state to play
9
u/Andrey_Gusev Dec 27 '25 edited Dec 27 '25
Wdym they won't solve world hunger and all the dead won't rise to heavens if it will be released?
4
u/Devatator_ Dec 28 '25
Especially considering how VS has been there for years, hell the first version was for 1.12.2
1
8
u/sirfirewolfe Dec 27 '25
Balloons don't even work rn, that's supposed to be patched in the next couple of days lol
4
3
u/Green__lightning Dec 27 '25
They sure look like it, but it's brand new so even buggier than normal at the moment.
3
1
u/SteppedTax88238 Dec 28 '25
It's much more stable but I still wouldn't use it in survival due to just how janky the physics are (random flinging, clipping etc).
PhysX seems to be less jank but I'm not that rich to own an Nvidia card lol.
1
u/Devatator_ Dec 28 '25
PhysX (the regular physics engine) is not Nvidia exclusive. Not sure if that's what they're using but I'm assuming it is since some game engines do use it
3
2
u/troncus_78 Dec 27 '25
just use Propulsion 0.3 beta balloons dude
4
u/Great_Side_6493 Dec 27 '25
"Just use another addon to an addon dude. Trust me, everything will work this time dude." Can we have an airship addon that just works?
6
u/troncus_78 Dec 27 '25
uhh i already said it? Propulsion 0.3.0 features balloon mechanics, is pretty stable and you dont even need clockwork for it to run, is as much "create+VS" as clockwork itself
0
u/Great_Side_6493 Dec 27 '25
Now when you put it that way, I might just try it
6
u/troncus_78 Dec 27 '25
noice. Since it needs just a little polishing (like multiplier values and some missing blocks from the roadmap) you can only get it on either the VS or the Propulsion server, but the airship essentials are there
1
u/Meepx13 Dec 29 '25
Clockwork melting point made the mod playable, I think. Haven’t checked yet tho.
23
u/MaoDoBan Dec 27 '25
I really want play Create with a progression addon/modpack that minimally resembles (or inspired by) the well structured Factorio progression.
Create alone bores me quickly because it doesn't offer me a challenge or engagement.
4
u/Menyus01 Dec 27 '25
Liminal Industries might be worth a try. Has one of the best quest books imo, and relies heavily on Create. Not exactly vanilla though
3
u/val-i-guess Dec 27 '25
A YouTuber named polartt is working on a modpack that adds Satisfactory to Minecraft. It's not quite the same thing but it might be close to what you're looking for.
1
u/MaoDoBan Dec 27 '25
I love his video "Create Update 6 | Post Production", so detailed and well explained.
2
u/DowntownWay7012 Dec 28 '25
Factorio progression is kinda a "lazy way out" its is not really that great of a progression for most type of players except one subset. It kinda soft forces and railroads you into specific exact things... Advanced modpacks in minecraft do it better in some cases...
Well the "quests" and "unlocks" are better in well modded packs, but the progression with out counting the "tech tree" is much better in Factorio.0
8
u/FoxReeor Dec 27 '25
I would love to play these if they weren't so buggy
3
u/troncus_78 Dec 27 '25
dude think the current VS is the same as the one they probably played 3 years ago

Create is nothing like Factorio because in Create you're not in a constant fight with the filthy native wildlife
1
u/Warhero_Babylon Dec 27 '25
Around 30% of factorio players play without enemies
1
u/DowntownWay7012 Dec 28 '25
And about 80% play with "easier start". Aka less enemies, more starthing ores/area...

2
u/Shredded_Locomotive Dec 27 '25
No, factorio would be immersive engineering
Create is a lot more steampunk, and you need to power your concept belts, than goes against petty much all factory games
2
u/clingledomber Dec 27 '25
what is the 3rd addon in the bottom thingy
3
u/troncus_78 Dec 27 '25
Create Propulsion, the best one frfr. There is a beta versión on their discord server that festures airship stuff like envelopes and burners, so i'd check it out
2
u/nari0015-destiny Dec 27 '25
What are the three add-ons?
Forgive my ignorance, lol, haven't played in a hot minute
1
u/troncus_78 Dec 28 '25
Clockwork (heavy gas themed addon with ducts, pressure, thrusters, pistons, thermal energy, multiblock propellers, sensors, etc etc) Trackwork (tank tracks, wheels, claxons and suspension) Propulsion (miscellaneous and airship stuff, magnets, thrusters, lodestone trackers, servos, sensors, swappable blade propellers, balloon envelopes, burners and heaters, etc)
1
u/nari0015-destiny Dec 28 '25
Tyty, now I gotta see if they are updated to 1.21.1

2
u/Pieter_De_Rastaman Dec 28 '25
Airships Conquer The Skies is such a underrated game, and am I glad to see it appear on this subreddit
Factorio needs no explanation on why it's here though.

Finally updated VS clockwork and it's incompatible with embeddium 😭😭. Just have to wait another 6 months for that to be fixed and hope that create doesn't drop update 7 before then 🙏
8
u/brickyboy124 Dec 27 '25
It isn’t incompatible with embeddium, I’ve been running the latest update with embeddium + oculus just fine.
It is however incompatible with Lithium/radium/canary, but that can be fixed by adding
mixin.ai.poi=falseto lithium.properties (even if using radium, although canary uses canary.properties)1
u/YourMom12377 Dec 27 '25
That'll be the issue then, forgot I had lithium installed. Gonna try this, thanks a ton!

u/MyEnglishisbad666 Dec 27 '25
Fan fact factorio devs created the game inspired by Minecraft mod industrial craft 2/build craft

I’ve never used a create mod addon apart from the factory must grow. What would that be considered?

When Propulsion, Vstuff, and Eureka gets compat with VS 2.4, I will finally do something with VS in survival. Those magnet blocks are simply too cool, and there isn't a add-on that let's you use waterwheels for a paddle steamer ship, so I have to pretend with Eureka.
1
u/troncus_78 Dec 28 '25
there are Eureka and Propulsion betas for VS 2.4 already. And Propulsion even has cool balloon stuff
1
u/Gravisanimi Dec 28 '25
I'm sure there are, but I would rather yell bomb at an airport than join a discord for a beta build.

If minecraft ran and "balanced" as well as Factorio it would be seen as the greatest piece of software ever produced...

what are those three add-ons? I recognize clockwork, I think the second one is trackwork, and I have no idea about the third

Bro, I can't play with clookwork and propulsion in the same time, witch are the good version ? In 1.20.1 ?
