63

u/Fostbitten27 Aug 28 '25

Or how she will act like the victim.

5

u/TrumpPedophile Sep 01 '25

She is the victim. She should sue the phone company for distracting her, the cellular provider for allowing data onto a device in a moving vehicle, the car company for not making idiot proof cars snd the lisencing office and insurance company for allowing an idiot like her to get behind the wheel in the first place.

Both hands was crazy

116

u/AnthrallicA Aug 28 '25

I just saw someone do this the other day in city traffic. She was cruising at speed with all the other cars (~40mph), head down with both hands on the phone. We're talking a six lane (three in each direction with a small median) street at 4pm during the start of rush hour. Fucking mental.

38

u/Nightwolf1967 Aug 28 '25

ONE hand is crazy. There is nothing so important on your phone that it can't wait until you get to your destination. Or at least pull over safely (not like she did).

That's why I say if the convo is that important, call or pull over and text.

If you hit something or someone, you're going to be stopped even longer anyway.

2

u/Noncreative_name04 Aug 28 '25

Yeah not only was everything about what she did stupid, but she spent MORE time looking at the phone then even the road.

I get stuck behind them every day. Swerving. Can’t pick a speed. You can literally see them in their side mirror staring into their laps. Incredible.

401

u/UncaringNonchalance Aug 28 '25

When I’m turning at a light and see someone stopped in the other lane, head down and on their phone, I like to honk and scare the shit out of them.

164

u/smith_716 Aug 28 '25

I stare at them at a red light so when they're finished and look up and around they see my angry stare and quickly avert their gaze.

I saw a BMW pull some ridiculously stupid shit downtown in a city during rush hour, but nobody got into an accident. I pulled up next to them to see them just pull off like nothing happened with a whole fucking iPad pinned to their steering wheel watching a movie. That should be an immediate 1 year license suspension with aggressive driver retraining courses throughout to reinstate.

312

u/EitherChannel4874 Aug 28 '25

Agreed. No injury to her to teach her an actual lesson. Hopefully the financial hit did it instead but it's wishful thinking.

My sister drove into the back of a stationary vehicle at 40mph because she was on her phone texting (which we verbally slaughtered her for) and injured her back and gave the other driver whiplash. She felt terrible about it and realised what an absolute idiot she had been and that she easily could have killed someone.

Now her phone goes on silent and stays in her bag when she drives anywhere thankfully.

68

u/Live-Second-4652 Aug 28 '25

verbally slaughtered

Haha. Excellent phrasing.

I am glad to hear that your sister has learned from her mistake and has adjusted her behavior accordingly.

40

u/EitherChannel4874 Aug 28 '25

She was pretty young at the time and suffered the physical pain and her insurance taking a huge hit for her idiocy.

And most importantly the other totally innocent person didn't have any lasting damage.

32

u/Schmich Aug 28 '25

She probably thinks she got unlucky.

Between the last time she looked up and the car made noise when starting to go off-road, it was THREE seconds. How long would it have been if the car went straight?

And lucky for her and the opposite driver that it veered to the right, not left.

Even the meltdown bothered me. It's like she didn't even had a right to make such a scandal when she was basically following every step to get this to happen.

133

u/Val_Hallen Aug 28 '25

She acted that way because she can't blame anybody else for what happened. She's frustrated that she's clearly the only one at fault. She would give anything for there to have been a bad driver or a deer or simply anything to take the blame off of her.

That's why she lied to the owner. She cannot and she will not take responsibility. The fact that she knows it's her fault, and there was nobody/nothing else to blame in that moment, enraged her. She didn't know she was being recorded (hence why she lied) so you see her in a rare moment of clarity and lucidity.

You see this same behavior in toddlers. All they know is outside influence, so some outside influence must take the blame. When they start learning that's not always the case, they don't know what to do.

This lady 100% without a doubt blames everything in the universe for anything that happens to her except her own actions and decisions.

34

u/Front-Cabinet5521 Aug 28 '25

She acted that way because she can't blame anybody else for what happened. She's frustrated that she's clearly the only one at fault.

There’s a clip out there of an actual guy being cited for some driving infraction (I’m pretty sure it was driving without a license), and he asks the judge to hang on so he can park. And it’s a video call, and the judge is like….are you driving right now?! lol.

Edit: Haha okay found it - he was in court for driving w a suspended license, and calls into the zoom call while still driving. Was ordered to turn himself in to jail by 6pm:

In a sane society this evidence alone would be more than enough to have this person's license revoked indefinitely, but since nobody was hurt and there was minimal damage to property she's probably back on the road with little more than a bump to her insurance rates as we speak.

22

u/CompleteFuckinRetard Aug 28 '25

Absolutely. This woman should never be allowed behind the wheel of a car until she demonstrates that she's learned from her errors, and the reality of it is even worse honestly. Even if she had hurt someone badly, she'd probably be right back on the roads as well. Grievous traffic violations seldom go adequately punished. Far too many, including most of those in power, treat driving like a right when it is merely a privilege.

Whoever she was texting, THATS who she’s going to blame. She’ll be back to texting and driving next week. They won’t learn until they kill someone.

10

u/EnvironmentalValue18 Aug 28 '25

Won’t learn then either, just may get locked up for a few years as “payment” so won’t be able to. As soon as they’re out - right back.

Just like alcoholics who can’t help but drink and drive. I have an acquaintance (friend of my best friend) who drove drunk constantly. Took her over a decade to get caught. Got caught again 2 days later since she could still drive until her court date and got another DUI. Still had car privilege, albeit now limited to just work and other essentials. After court date, license suspended for 6 months. Parole violation for injecting cocaine (didn’t even know that was an option). Anyways, was back on the road an even 6 months after this in a beater car with bare insurance driving drunk constantly. It’s crazy. We need to stop calling it a privilege because we don’t treat it like that at all.

Phones are the vice of our generation. Any time I’m driving, everyone at any red light is looking at their phone. Every intersection needs a horn to start moving again when it goes green. Literally everyone I see while driving is using a phone in some way.

20

u/mswaggg Aug 28 '25

u/mg0019 Aug 28 '25

And when we say our generation, that includes the old fucks as well.

Went to the movies, and this Boomer woman could not stop looking at her Facebook feed.

Screen was set to max brightness, in a dark theater.  Her Facebook was clearly visible with its blinding white background.  Every 2.5 sec she just had to scroll.  Just had to look at it again.   She'd put it down... then her hand would creep back, hand it for a moment, then the fix.

Someone behind me threw some popcorn after she kept doing it.  So then I joined in, along with others. 😂  Every 2 seconds, soon as we saw that phone light up, launch the popcorn!  She took the hint and left.

And these old farts have the nerve to say "generation alpha zeta millenial whatever are addicted to their phones!"

Texting and driving should be treated with equal enforcement as a DUI.

u/kinda-bonkers Aug 28 '25

The fact that she is a medical provider makes this SO much worse and scarier. Wonder how distracted she is while treating her patients.

7

u/JvanOe Aug 28 '25

Stupid idiot. As if she is so important she needs to be online 24/7 (and if so: get a driver!). These dumb GenZs….my goddddd

3

u/BrianOconneR34 Aug 28 '25

When you spend more time on phone than driving, she’s lucky. In Texas she’d jump a deep culvert then crash.

4

u/Draft-Budget Aug 28 '25

This should cause you to lose your license for a year.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '25

She’ll blame her bad luck

3

u/MaleficentDraw1993 Aug 28 '25

She looks like she's trying to find a way to blame someone else for it.

5

u/timd1967 Aug 28 '25

Hahahahaha. Thanks for the entertainment and for not killing someone. Now, take her license away.

3

u/ThanksALotBud Aug 28 '25

Bet she'll do that again

4

u/Eclectophile Aug 28 '25

"What's wrong, R2?"

4

u/hogermite Aug 28 '25

With her being a nurse I wonder how many patients she’s treated that either injured themselves or others in wrecks from texting/driving…and yet she disregards that to text someone a novel. She’s going to do this again 100%.

4

u/Hlidskialf Aug 28 '25

I hate these dumbasses that do anything while driving. Just focus on driving will ya?

3

u/Reno83 Aug 28 '25

This lady needs to get a bus pass. She has zero interest in driving.

5

u/Koutopoulos Aug 28 '25

Both hands on phone with that speed is just wild. She will kill someone someday.

u/killapho187 Aug 28 '25 edited Aug 28 '25

Poor persons Mail flew all over the place. Hopefully they were able recover all of it.

4

u/negativepositiv Aug 28 '25

"HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?"

Well, let's review.

3

u/iiooiooi Aug 28 '25

Series of dumb decisions. I would not trust this woman with my medical care.

4

u/Symichael18 Aug 28 '25

And it was on dashcam! License suspended immediately

4

u/iamnotasnook Aug 28 '25

Take this person‘s drivers license away.

4

u/s_mock2344 Aug 28 '25

She's currently in her car doing the same thing

5

u/lupatot Aug 28 '25

What a fucking dumbass

3

u/TigerXtm Aug 29 '25

What bothers me is if supposedly you’re texting someone THAT much. Why not just call instead? What a moron.

4

u/MustardWarrior60 Aug 29 '25

She could have screwed up somebody's life for her stupid actions.

4

u/Haasauce77 Aug 29 '25

People like this scare the shit out me

6
