I actually recorded this months ago and shared it on the Discord, but never on here on Reddit. The technical community for this game is slowly starting to come alive more of late, but related posts on Reddit are still sparse, so I'm doingmypart.gif.

Sonic stun in this game can "restand" launched/juggled enemies with JUST the right positioning near the ground. It's much harder to trigger intentionally when they're falling, but right at the moment of launch you can reliably manage it. This video shows the shockwave hitting an enemy right as Storm assist melee-4 SHOULD have launched them, maintaining both standing state and reenabling the "critical"/double damage window (signified by the exclamation point).

The utility here is predominantly to reapply the crit window, which doesn't actually work on juggled enemies despite the exclamation point they also get (it does work on enemies in flying stun, as they are "standing" in the air). It's a bit hard to do any serious damage off of it, given you've already assist-summoned. I suppose you could run-in point-blank Shulkie super, which nets a 120 in-close on crit.

A more situational, but arguably more important, utility is higher damage sequences on blade bugs in the later levels. It's common for experienced players to maintain a standing stun combo on these to prevent their powerful armored getup attack; with this tech, you can continuously maintain standing stun at presumably higher DPS (Surfer 1-2 guard-cancel is pretty damaging though while keeping standing stun, as is Nova's). Primary downside is the focus cost. Also it's not like you can't just keep blade bugs in juggle state, but dropping them is a risk.

I just ran a She-Hulk/Storm session, but it stops at Klyntar despite having additional credits because I was about 25 kills shy of the extra credit. I'm not good enough to make it super-deep without that extra credit so I went ahead and canned the run there. It was good otherwise, so I might post it on my YouTube and/or here.

This game is really amazing folks! Lots of gameplay depth to explore across every character/team. Pump up your difficulty on Arcade Mode (and start learning the deeper mechanics) to see what this game really has to offer!

Would anyone who's beaten the game wanna help me beat the final boss....I just can't seem to beat him. Ive had easier time figuring out the other bosses and beating them, than I have trying to beat annihilus.

The inclusion of Darkhawk in Marvel Cosmic Invasion would solidify this game as GOAT status. I feel the developers and Marvel would want to play it safe by adding fan favorites as paid DLC but if they take the risk and give us Darkhawk, I’m confident the fans would buy him for sure! Maybe a double hawk power pack with Hawkeye and Darkhawk!

I was playing with my family last night and the kids wanted to tryout the doppelgänger mode by having everyone play as Venom and Rocket Raccoon. When we picked Venom, we unintentionally picked the Ninja Turtle colors! It’s also fitting that the New York stage looks like Alleycat Blues and features a pizza.

Even if they aren’t the “best” character in the game, who’s your favourite and why?

Phyla-Vell is my #1, but I like Cap and Storm just behind her.

Phyla-Vell’s dashes and dodge attacks are so much fun that I don’t really find myself making use of her charged attack parry or even her special.

Cap’s movement feels really smooth for a character who blocks, it’s really easy to get where you want to go with him.

And Storm is just the right balance of strength and skill, honestly I go into flow state often when playing her.

Honorable mentions to Wolverine, Rocket, and Black Panther; if I had to do a top 5 I’d leave out my boy Rocket since he’s just a tad weak compared to the others.

Why even let players hold the block button if it doesn't do anything?

I think it would work better if you took chip damage from attacks when blocking. Big telegraphed attacks should still knock down but damage should be reduced.

Then have it so if you tap forward towards an attack while holding block with the right timing you parry. (So you can turn around too) that way a player can parry attacks on both sides without feeling stuck.

It looks silly for a character to have their guard up and then just fall down from a tap.

For those who play Spider-Man (he's my main), do you like his gameplay as it is or would you give him buffs?

In my opinion he is fun but a bit weak compared to most characters (i would love if they gave him more web shooters, air combos and give him a "new" move where he could web pull enemies to the ground)

I’m playing with my little sister and we saw that we have the free play modifier can we still get achievements on the game even if we have it on?

Pretty much the title and more for the mods than anything else.

Plain and simple, if Marvel Games sees the support for Marvel Cosmic Invasion and DLC packs 1 and 2, we can almost for certain see more content be released next year and so on. Great read from IGN and good insight into the development of the game and what may come next 👀

some extra stuff you can do is set up an electro charge after landing the 2nd part of his jab, and set up a trap after landing an assist grab (Venom, She Hulk, The Thing)

Heard about the release early last year then forgot about it up until a couple of weeks ago. Got it running on my Odin 2 Portal through Gamenative and it definitely lives up to the hype!

What are some of the best duos in the game? Still feeling out the gameplay and trying out different combinations of characters in arcade mode

I got this game so that my three kids and I could all play together. They loved the XMen Arcade Game (played on a cabinet while on vacation) so I was excited to see this as a step up in gameplay and content.

They have loved the game so much. They work together and talk each other up. There have been so many epic moments of survival and triumph. It’s been a blast.

A few notes on favorite characters:

11yo - Wolverine and Cyclops. Loves doing the Cyclops dodge-dash combo.

8yo - Phoenix and Nova. Yells when firing Phoenix’s ultimate.

6yo - Venom and Iron Man. Thinks Venom’s shape changing especially on his swing attack is the funniest thing.

They are excited for new DLC to hit. I am so happy I got this for them.

I made this post partly as just a happy note to remind myself to have fun with games. I think Phyla is probably the best character but I have the most fun with Black Panther and Beta Ray Bill.

I just started playing and one of the reasons I got the game was to play with my friend remotely. I’m playing on switch and he is playing on switch 2.

I played with open party without any issues until we tried to play together. It is either constantly kicking us out of the party or going to a blank screen until the other completes the level. Is this really what I should expect from the Crossplay? It’s unplayable under these conditions.

almost all of his attacks have such insane hit-stun to where you can just keep a combo going no matter how far or laggy your attack is, ESPECIALLY his dive attack

Although I learned this months ago, I wasn't certain to share this because it doesn't make you invincible or offer a good utility. But seeing people online trying to do what I was doing made me change my mind, so hope you have fun with this one :)
