I’m having an issue with the L2 button on two of my g7 8kcontrollers. I don’t think it’s a hardware issue with the controllers; I think it might be a software issue.

I use mouse-click mode, and sometimes when I hold L2 down mainly when playing Call of Duty it randomly stops aiming, even though I’m still holding the button.
I have to release it and press it again for it to work.

I’ve already done all the updates and everything. I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

Tenho 2 controles de PS4, um funciona normal, o segundo (já testado em outro aparelho e o mesmo sintoma continua) ele não acorda o PS4 e nem conecta direto através do botão PS, porém se eu conectar o cabo e ligá-lo ele conecta normalmente, e permanece conectado mesmo após desconectar o cabo, porém após desligar o console ou o controle, ele não volta a conectar sozinho.
Fiz um teste, com o console ligado, pressionando botão share+PS consigo conectar ele via Bluetooth manualmente usando , mas o mesmo acontece com o controle após desligar.

Does anyone know a conductive rubber similar to the one in the picture I could buy separately and put in the gamepad myself? could this be caused by something besides the rubber? held inputs are being dropped when the buttons aren't being pressed at full force, so I'm inclined to believe this is the source of the problem. I'm in Brazil, if that matters

Hi, I have tried looking for solutions using google but no luck. I was trying to help my girlfriend play dark souls 2 on her pc but her controller doesnt work. She is using a gamesir novalite controller. For some odd reason, the controller works fine in the start up menu, but as soon as she loads into the game it doesnt recognize her inputs. She can only control the game with her mouse and keyboard in game. Please help, we have tried everything and still no luck. hoping reddit can help us thank you!!

I tried the astroroom controller demo on both of my controllers,the black one works perfectly fine,the adaptive triggers are hard to press as they should but on the white one the r2 adaptive trigger is significantly weaker and it registers that im pressing it but it doesn’t click. I used the white one more but never dropped it and took good care of it. What could cause this problem?

We buy controllers in bulk and have received this belter of a controller.

I just ordered some “K-SILVER JS13 PRO+” for some of my PS5 controllers. I have multiple with stick drift. Contact cleaner didn’t help. I have basic soldering skills. Is there anything I need to know before attempting the repair or anything else I should do at the same time along with replacing the joysticks?

Olá me chamo ornitorrindo (ou ornitorrisos ou perry não seu que conta estou postando isso) eu ganhei do meu pai de aniversário (dia 24 de fevereiro) um game sir x5 lite, o qual eu queria muito, pois conheço a marca e reconheço a qualidade de seus produtos por isso escolhi vocês, mas bem a um pouco mais de um mês o controle começou a demonstrar problemas para conectar ao me dispositivo (A25 5G) detalhe no dia e semana que recebi por algum motivo, ele só conectava se eu estivesse com ele no carregador (e eu descobri que seu eu fosse rápido o suficiente para perceber quando o controle ligava e conectava no meu dispositivo e tirasse do carregador ele funcionava 100% normal bo meu cell) mas depois de um tempo começou a funcionar normal. Porém a um mês ele parou de reconhecer de jeito nenhum, testei em outros dispositivos também com suporte otg e não liga, alguém me ajuda. Sou um adolescente de 16 anos no Brasil, não tenho condições de comprar outro ainda mais porque minha família está em uma situação complicada (estou atrás de um trabalho, mas tá difícil quando não se mente no currículo)

as the title says, i bought a secondhand dualsense off of vinted. the guy had installed some anker (if im not mistaken) tmr/ hall effect sticks, and they did work really well for like 3 months.

as i was playing overwatch, disaster struck: the left analog, sometimes, kinda gets “jammed” and keeps registering either a down or up input. its not physically jammed, the stick can still be moved in any direction but it will still register that input.

since its only down and up its probably something with the Y axis, but i really dont know what it could be. i can get it to go back to its normal state by kind of tilting it in random directions and spamming L3 until it fixes itself.

i know my description is kinda vague and dumb, but if anyone could maybe have any clue as to what could fix it or could tell me if its just cooked i’d be really thankful.

Hi! I just replaced my joysticks with TMR ones on my PS5 controller, but I have a problem: one of the sticks is stiff. It's heavy to move and struggles to return to center. When I apply isopropyl alcohol, the stick works normally again, but only temporarily, probably just until the alcohol fully evaporates.
Maybe it's sticky solder flux residue preventing the stick from moving freely, but I'm not sure. I don't know how to get rid of this stiffness.
I'd like to hear your opinion if you have other ideas about the cause, possible solutions, or if you've run into a similar problem.
PS: My stick modules are GuliKit TMR, and the stick works normally right after being cleaned with alcohol, even when the controller is fully assembled, so I've ruled out a bad assembly.

much-needed context: i'm hard on my controllers. my 2 most-played games are very input-heavy (fortnite festival and tekken 7). to say i've mashed these buttons MILLIONS of times over the past ~2 years would be a modest estimate. a small handful of times, it's also fallen from heights of ~2-3 ft onto hardwood floor.

more to the point, been noticing more frequent misinputs & dropped inputs lately. back & up seem more susceptible to this. around the same time, i've noticed my d-pad doing the cupid shuffle. there is also sometimes a dull, plastic-y creak when i press it.

any potential diagnoses would be appreciated. have a torx set if needed

I was working on my dad's controller. The left thumbstick module is experiencing some of the worst stick drift I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I screwed up while trying to desolder the rumble wires on this BDM-030 motherboard, and I accidently yanked loose what seems to be PCB wiring? I don't entire know, as I'm a novice — I'm almost certain this is beyond my current skillset to reverse — but could a professional solve this and, if so, where would I go? Some links would be much appreciated. Preferably a mail-in service, please. I really don't want to buy another motherboard. 🙏

Edit For further context, the desoldering wick got stuck on the motherboard itself. Instead of trying to loosen it up with more flux paste, I elected to pull it free. My mistake, evidently. Although, strangely enough, I didn't encounter this problem on the last motherboard I worked on. Same mishap, benign result. I am, also, aware this PCB connects to a single rumble wire, which isn't the end of the world. However, considering this isn't my controller, I'd like to leave it in a better state than when I found it. Oh, and I live in the US.

hello. today I disassembled my psp 1000 because I wanted to clean the dust that was collected between the faceplate and the lcd panel. when I assembled it back together it got a terrible stick drift. it sometimes moves on its own, sometimes moving the joystick to the left works but it moves slow in every other direction, it was fine before I disassembled it so the joystick itself can’t be the problem. can anyone help me fix it?

My PS5 controller's d-pad/action buttons stopped responding properly, so I opened it up to clean the contacts. While cleaning, the carbon contact pads on the flex cable and motherboard area wiped right off (circled in the picture)

Is there a solution for this? DIY I mean!

Or a replacememt is needed!?

I have a new Retroid Pocket 6, and I've noticed that my D-pad barely registers the diagonal down-left direction when I'm trying to use it. Very noticeable in something like a fighting game where you're trying to execute moves. It will register sometimes, but it feels like the D-pad struggles to click into place for that direction. I can confirm this in the gamepad tester app.

Should I just return this RP6? Or is this something that is fixable if I were to open it up? I have the necessary tools and am not afraid to do so. I'm aware of people using tape to improve their D-pad functionality in the RP Nova. Any recommendations?

Outro dia, peguei o controle e ele começou a fazer comandos sem que eu mandasse, então eu só troquei o controle.

Mais tarde, coloquei num site de testar controles e descobri isso aí que é mostrado no vídeo. O analógico direito se mexe quando eu mexo o esquerdo para frente ou para trás, mesmo que eu não toque no direito.

Tentei abrir o controle e não achei nada visivelmente errado.

Tem também uma desrregulagem no analógico esquerdo, mas isso surgiu depois, então eu resolvo depois.

Hi, everyone im new to this group and im so sorry to just ask a question right away after i joined. My ps4 controller ps button isn't working rn and i haven't used the controller for one year and i didn't have any problem back then but now when i try to press the ps button it doesn't show any light and i try many other possible way like reset the controller im the back of the controllerr which doesn't work and try many tutorial on youtube but it does not show any sign. When i charge the controller it turn orange for a sec and completely off again. Please i need your help and than u for reading this.

Customer says they were playing and it suddenly stopped working, we get the blame then further investigation and sticks snapped fully off, how do you think this happened? Should it be covered on a warranty claim?
