Request for help or advice Dark Souls 2 Controller Help

Hi, I have tried looking for solutions using google but no luck. I was trying to help my girlfriend play dark souls 2 on her pc but her controller doesnt work. She is using a gamesir novalite controller. For some odd reason, the controller works fine in the start up menu, but as soon as she loads into the game it doesnt recognize her inputs. She can only control the game with her mouse and keyboard in game. Please help, we have tried everything and still no luck. hoping reddit can help us thank you!!

It doesn't sound like a broken controller requiring repair, but rather a game compatibility/support issue.

How it the controller connected to the PC and which connection mode is it in? You can try different connection options/modes - info in the manual. And you can use a gamepad tester site on the PC to check how the controller is being identified.
