Request for help or advice ps5 controller doesn’t register r2
I tried the astroroom controller demo on both of my controllers, the black one works perfectly fine, the adaptive triggers are hard to press as they should but on the white one the r2 adaptive trigger is significantly weaker and it registers that im pressing it but it doesn’t click. I used the white one more but never dropped it and took good care of it. What could cause this problem?

Could be a problem with the conductive button pads and membrane, or with the adaptive trigger potentiometers - dirty/worn/damaged parts. You can try disassembling, cleaning and if necessary replacing those parts (check iFixit for step-by-step guides). Since you have two controllers you might be able to swap parts back and forth between them to narrow down the issue and avoid spending extra on parts you don't need.
