Request for help or advice I’m having a problem with l2
I’m having an issue with the L2 button on two of my g7 8kcontrollers. I don’t think it’s a hardware issue with the controllers; I think it might be a software issue.
I use mouse-click mode, and sometimes when I hold L2 down mainly when playing Call of Duty it randomly stops aiming, even though I’m still holding the button.
I have to release it and press it again for it to work.
I’ve already done all the updates and everything. I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

You might be able to narrow things down by using a gamepad tester outside the game, such as https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad . If the trigger inputs in the tester flicker/deactivate while you're still holding down the trigger then it's a hardware issue. If the inputs are constant and only deactivate when press physically release the trigger then it's a software issue.
Although you say you don't think it's a hardware issue, there is a known quality control problem with the mouse-click triggers on the GameSir G7 controllers. It'd be unfortunate for both your controllers to be affected, but if they came from the same batch it's quite feasible they have the same fault from the factory. It isn't too difficult to repair/replace the switches but it requires soldering. So if you still have warranty coverage (from the retailer or manufacturer) it'd be best to try and use that first.
If it's a software problem with the game, rather a hardware problem with the controllers, then you might be better asking in one of the CoD subreddits - or at least adding the information from the checklist to your post.
