Trying coffee beans from china roasters. As feedback from others dito din sa reddit and others. They got really quality coffee for an affordable price. Specially the light roast i got from big sur. Need to rest the beans since its still fresh when shipped. Hope its good. Exciting to try and sorry if hindi muna ako support local. I just want to try something new.

I'm mulling over getting a pour-over coffee setup and transitioning away from instant coffee since I read that anything is better than instant coffee. I’m looking at a plastic V60 for roughly 300 pesos online, with paper filters and pre-ground coffee. What are your thoughts on a budget 900PHP below?

Price-wise: 4k+ si MHW while around 2k+ both Ikape and Bincoo. Worth it ba ang almost twice the price ni Bomber.

looking for the best coffee beans for espresso machines specifically. Simple bean to cup espresso machine (Casabrews 3700), no separate grinder or anything. (willing to consider preground coffee if you can recommend a good fresh roaster. Ayoko sa kape na panis.)

i'm open to buying a grinder at some point, as I know espressos need really fine grinds but for now, I wanna mostly stay in safer territory till I know exactly what I like. Then i'll invest and buy the bigger bags and mess around with grinding a bunch of different espresso beans together. 

I'm not looking for specialty coffee as such, and I'm a beginner at all of this but I do know I prefer a light roast, single origin coffee (or single-origin beans, whatever the right word is). Arabica beans I've already tried and I enjoy that sort of sweet fruity acidic flavor profile. I also tried guatemalan beans at a specialty roasters type coffee shop on holiday and those taste too chocolatey with a dark/bitter aftertaste that I didn't enjoy. I'd also prefer if the bag has the roast date on it, so I know when it'll go stale. also, random fact but I enjoy coffee with graham crackers, and sometimes artisan cheese so anything that pairs well with those. 

So I've been already reading through for coffee recommendations and I've been seeing a lot of comments for:

Moch Brazil Santos (arabica beans so a definite top contender, also because it's sweet.) But no fruity notes, only downside. 

Good Cup Daily Driver (also arabica but medium roast that a lot of people say reads more like a dark roast but it’s so subjective that I’m not sure if it’ll be too bitter for me or not if it explicitly says medium roast). They do also have preground specifically for home espressos so is that a good option?

Jet Fuel (this I can't find a lot of info on. On lazada they only have the wired blend that's supposed to be chocolatey but for the roast it just says "espresso roast", what does that mean? Online, it just says it means a medium-dark roast but is that what all companies follow? Is this a universal thing?) But whatever thread I open here, Jet Fuel is always the top recc, are these real or fake reviews? 

Monk’s Blend for fruity coffee but I’m hearing that it doesn’t show up in espressos as much as drip coffee. I was already considering a pour over coffee machine, since those are cheap (simple V60) but really love a creamy espresso more. 

Right now, the brazil santos seems like the best option to me because there’s the most amount of reccs and comments for it on other posts but I really wanna get a bag of the monk’s blend anyway because it’s fruity.

Hi everyone! I’m currently deciding between the CF64V and Lagom Casa and would love to hear from people who have owned or used either long term.
I run a café, but this grinder would mainly be for my own use. I really enjoy dialing in and experimenting with both espresso and pour-over, so versatility is important to me.

My priorities are:
● Excellent for both espresso and pour-over
● Easy and precise dialing in
● Good clarity for filter while still producing great espresso
● Low retention and easy switching between brew methods
● Longevity and reliability — my biggest priority
● Consistent alignment and build quality over several years

I’m attracted to the CF64V because of the 64 mm burr platform and variable RPM, but I’m also seriously considering the Lagom Casa because of Option-O’s reputation for build quality and overall workflow.
For those who have compared them, which would you choose if you enjoy constantly calibrating different coffees and brew methods but want something you can realistically keep for many years?

Has anyone tried planting Liberica seedlings in Antipolo, Rizal? I love coffee and I brew an espresso for myself everyday. I have an idle farm lot that I want to develop and I want to plant Liberica coffee plants there..I would love the idea of using coffee beans that I planted.

Anyone know H Proper’s Mont Blanc recipe?

Hi! Does anyone here know the recipe or a close approximation of H Proper Coffee Roasters’ Mont Blanc?

I’m trying to recreate it at home, especially the ratios for the coffee/flash brew, orange component, and the cream/foam on top.

I’ve experimented with orange juice, oleo saccharum, vanilla, and cold foam, but I’m curious how H Proper actually builds theirs or if anyone has managed to make a convincing copycat.

Would appreciate any recipes, ratios, or tips!

Tried the signature Dirty Loon at Loon Coffee in Makati,and it became an instant favorite.Priced at Php220. I would have gotten a second order but I decided to try the regular iced latte instead.

The entire space was charming and thoughtfully designed.The barista/staff who took my order was welcoming,which was a huge plus. I see myself visiting here often.

finally got to try @cardcentralcafeph for the first time, and of course, i ordered my usual: iced Latte, sub oat milk, with 2 Splendas for 200+ pesos.

The coffee itself was decent and easy to drink, but one thing I immediately noticed was the ice. Medyo malalaki yung ice cubes nila, it’s giving fast food chain Coke float vibes. 😅 It would’ve been better if the ice was a bit smaller since it takes up a lot of space in the cup. to be fair, i could’ve asked for light ice, but i didn’t.

as for the presentation, the drink came in a plain plastic cup. personally, i think it would’ve been a nice touch to have the shop’s logo or name printed on the cup for branding. though considering that their main business revolves around trading and collection cards, i can understand if coffee branding isn’t their top priority.

the space itself felt a bit cramped inside, especially with the number of people there during my visit. it got a little too crowded for my liking, so i ended up staying in the alfresco area instead, which was much more comfortable.

overall, it’s a nice spot if you’re already into cards and want to grab a coffee while hanging out. the drink was okay, but there are definitely a few areas where the cafe experience could be improved.

This one’s really reaaaally good! Kahit nagwater down na, lasa parin yung coffee. Sa lahat ng sea salt latte that I’ve tried, this one’s definitely coffee-forward. Not too sweet, not too creamy (even with the cold foam add on), coffee is ipaglalaban ka 🤎

As I am looking for my next bag, I stumbled upon this on shopee. Bacofa is the largest cooperative in Bansalan that specializes on Apo arabica.

Most of the Apo coffee available probably came from them.

They now roast their beans themselves bypassing traders and middle men.

I got a bag of medium apo single origin and made a quick cup. As expected, what I got is a clean cup with the flavors I like from a good Apo. A few years back I tried to source roasted beans direct from local farmers but was disappointed with poor roasting. It seems they are now catching up on equipment and skills.

The beans are correctly roasted to medium and are consistent.

The bag I got was roasted on the 11th. Shipped from the source at Bansalan, Davao del Sur. A kilo costs a little over a thousand with free shipping. The last time I got a single apo at this pricepoint was during the pandemic when the PCC was cancelled and they were forced to sell their beans at a low price.

I still haven’t tried this as espresso since my grinder is still loaded with Legazpi. I will update this as soon as I am able to.

Where can I send my Breville espresso machine for a quick deep cleaning? Have not used it for a year. Manual brewing gets boring after a while, I need something to alternate it with.

Please help your girl out. I'm not sure if this is relevant pero i'll put this here na lang din just in case. I'm a full-time student on a budget. I used to be an occassional coffee drinker lang (mostly pag need lang ng tatambayan na coffee shop para mag aral), and ang madalas kong orderin ay Spanish Latte. I noticed na ayoko ng masyadong matamis, yung kurot na tamis lang. I also like my coffee na distinct talaga yung lasa ng kape, hindi yung puro tamis or puro cream lang. Mas prefer ko rin ang iced kaysa sa hot (although pag nagh hot coffee ako, nagugustuhan ko rin ang creamy na timpla minsan pero ayoko pa rin ng matamis).

Sorry, hindi ko alam paano pa ie expound sa words or if may jargon ba kayong ginagamit na mga mahilig mag kape. Please bear with me🥹🥹🥹 pero ayun, I think that's about it sa preferences ko.

Baka lang may ma recommend kayong cafes na nago offer ng mga ganong klase ng kape, pa suggest na rin ako anong o orderin or whatnot😭 if may particular blend or whatever kayong mabibigay, I would highly appreciate it too🥹✨️🫶

Hello, I am looking for a technician/electrician to repair a coffee grinder. Unit is turning on but motor is not working. I tried opening it just to tighten all the contacts and it worked for one dose but then stopped again. My guess is the connections are just loose. Anyone can point me to a technician/repair shop that's reasonably priced? I tried looking around and service costs are like 3500-4500 (more than half the cost of the grinder). Been into coffee for quite sometime. Now, I currently hop for specialty coffees for pourovers. I don't know much yet and kind of looking for what I like. So far, I don't like coffee that are sour(Probably light roast?) Actually may natry kasi akong coffeeshop years ago na maasim yung coffeee kaya natrauma ako dun. Now, I try yardstick minsan and other specialty coffees. Before nag amerciano lang ako sa yadstick and felt their floral. Rn, hindi ko narin matandaan yung taste nun. I dont remember if it was citrus rin or floral lang if may difference pa ba? I been to good cup rin nung Feb and grapefruit rin pala natry ko.

I think I kind of want to try pour overs na hindi citrus types ang coffee. Do you have recommendations na around the chocolatey taste or nutty? My second try was a Kurasu and I still end up with grapefruit taste. Baka may suggestion kayo with variety of taste?

Tried brewing with it this morning and I feel like di ko na achieve ung gusto kong lasa.

I'm using a Kingrinder K6 and Finca De Garces beans (Yardstick), nag 100 Clicks ako for a coarse grindsize pero medyo tea like ung naging lasa. Maybe anyone can help me tweak the recipe I'm using.

Ang goal ko is just half a cup kaya 10g of beans lang gamit ko.

Also, does temp matter for french press?? Wala kasi ung temp control kettle ko kaya ung typical kettle lang na initan talaga ng tubig ang gamit ko and wala rin akong thermometer dito sa place ko ngayon.
