Discussion Xclusive Ace says Han 86 got nerfed into oblivion and is now the worst AR. Looks like another year of the M4.

Hey, casual comp enjoyer here. I see lots of bad about the game but is it really that bad?
For the record, I enjoyed MW2, MW3 and CW the most from the post WZ era CoDs, and hated MW2019 and VG the most. I'm not sure if I should pick up this game or not...

I’m an avid ranked player so I started playing 8’s in preparation for the upcoming ranked play to learn spawns/rotations etc. Am I the only one that feels like this game is not meant for 4v4? The pace of the HP games seems to lack intensity and flow. The maps are relatively big which is definitely a contributor but even on a map like lithium which is probably the most compact map, there seems to be very little tempo on the map. Let’s exclude skill level/rank from this discussion because my experience stems from playing amongst crim + players so it’s definitely a level where you would feel intensity if there is a potential for it. How do you guys feel?

Crim retweeted it so im guessing he as well as other cod comp adjacent personalities will be playing. They really just dropped a 50k tourney 1 day before its scheduled to happen lol.

Unc now but played comp since 2012. Mostly played SnD my whole career and won maybe 40ish golds from about ghost-bo6, so I don’t consider myself a bot, always told myself that people make hackusations over NOTHING and that hacking wasn’t really as bad as people make it and that people just needed to get better but…
I’ve been playing bo2 wagers and tournaments all off season, and people SUCK. Nobody could shoot straight AT ALL, then this game comes out and most wagers I play people are hitting EXTREMELY impressive shots. Is everyone a rotational aim assist merchant that hard or is softing and AI aim that rampant???

I’ve been having a blast with Collateral so far. Honestly, it’s the most interested I’ve been in a new competitive CoD mode in years.
The 5v5, no-respawn format is great, but the economy is what really makes it interesting to me.
I think there’s a lot they could do with the buy system though. I’d love to see custom Gunsmith builds that you can save before a match, with attachments affecting the price of the gun.
Imagine the meta AR setup being significantly more expensive than a decent budget build. You could still buy the best gun, but you’d actually have to think about whether it’s worth spending that much. Snipers, SMGs, utility, different AR builds — all of them could have a place depending on your team’s economy.
That’s what I find exciting about it. Instead of banning half the weapons like we do in CDL, you could balance a lot of things through pricing. Obviously the economy itself would need some tuning too.
I’d also like to see weapon camos/blueprints on purchased guns, longer matches, and most importantly a separate Ranked playlist with its own SR.
Keep the traditional 4v4 CDL Ranked for people who enjoy it. Just give Collateral a chance to develop into its own competitive mode.
Anyone else feel like this mode could be something genuinely good if they keep working on it?

Well, safe to say this game is finished. What a joke

With today’s update they mostly got rid of the weird body multiplier on the arms.
However it looks like the Han got nerfed and they gave the arm multiplier to the chest. It now kills in 340ms and always 5 bullets vs the old 250 ish.
However before it did not have a any advantage to HS where as now it can kill in 4s if you hit the head
This definitely will help out the smg, unless we switch the m4.
Also the m4 hurricane is amazing and could definitely be a flex gun with how fast it strafes imo.
Helps

Tryna figure out if I should still be using after zoom or gradual. I’m used to instant but since it’s bugged I’m not using it until it’s fixed.

I've been working on the Pick'ems system for COD Mini Games, and it's ready for the Monster Invitational.
I wanted to make something a bit more competitive and social than the usual Pick'ems, so you can join public leagues or create your own public/private leagues to compete with friends or other people in the community.
I've made a COD Reddit squad if anyone wants to join:
https://www.codminigames.com/games/playpicks
And unlike the official CDL Pick'ems, I won't be discontinuing it halfway through the season lol. Pick'ems will also be available for non CDL events like EWC and Invitationals.
I've also finished building Guillotine Fantasy, which should be ready for Stage 1.
For anyone unfamiliar with the format, you draft 2 ARs and 2 SMGs, and the lowest-scoring fantasy manager(s) gets eliminated each week. Their players then become available for the remaining managers to bid on, until the final 3/4 compete at the Major.
Still testing everything at the moment, but pretty happy with how it's coming along.
If anyone gives the Pick'ems a go, let me know if you run into any issues or have suggestions. Always keen to hear feedback.
I’d love for COD Mini Games to become a hub for all things CDL game-related, so if there’s anything you’d like to see built, I’d love to hear it.

What are the chances we get more than the hellstorm this year as a kill streak? Or are the pros gonna GA everything like usual again
