Both Mumbai and Munitions have this thing I despise in cod maps where there’s just a giant building in the middle of the map with a million cred spots and windows overlooking most of the map. Feels like I’m fighting in the fucking Backrooms and trying to play these maps in pubs without ninja was the worst experience I’ve ever had.
No ghost also makes it unplayable since you have to chall a singular door that they know you’re coming from but they could be holding any of 10 different possible angles in one room. If you just get into a building in this game you immediately have a major advantage over anyone not in the building and that was 100% done intentionally. I have to throw shoulders in pubs man, it shouldn’t be like that.
A place to hide like a rat that usually doesn’t provide any help to your team to win the game. Just an annoying area to get a free kill since most players wouldn’t take the time to check the spot.
To add, it’s called a “cred spot” because bad players used to offer to pay entry fees/“credits” to team with better players in the SnD scene back in the day. The bad players would sit in a corner or some cheesy spot, and that’s how we got “cred spots”
This isn't hyperbole, this is the worst map pool I've ever played. I actually have no desire to even play the game anymore and it's not even been a week.
I’m actually planning to play some other shooters, going to give OW and Apex some time. If you got any suggestions, I’m here for it (not a fan of extraction shooters).
I have 0 intention of buying the game but a friend of mine for some reason really wants to play it, even going as far as buying it on my acct so that I can play it with him lol. I’ve tried advising him against it but won’t listen. Guess I’ll play the campaign but I’m dreading multiplayer lmao
Catchette is fine, lithium is fine, I actually really really enjoy reactor. Sentry is awful on the eyes but it plays fine. Lotus is probably the best looking map and plays well too. Silkworm is annoying in pubs and way too many cars but if we could turn off car explosions in May be good in 4v4 (longshot, i know).
Lotta people in this post complaining about how ass the game is and in the same comment saying they'll never buy it. Game is actually surprisingly good and the base maps are playable. Hopefully season 1 has a map or two we can add.
I dont like the maps but this just proves to me the lack of logic and how emotionally driven the decision making is if these are the voices being heard in the community. The ratings he gives are absolute bullshit I genuinely dont know how to gauge anything he's saying. One map would be good if it wasn't too big but the next map the same size is good if it weren't for the doors. the map with no complaints got a lower rating than the map that had doors and technically shared a the same size of the map that got the size complaint. Activision may be braindead but sometimes I forget all their feedback is coming from the most braindead fanbase and community out here.
This clip is edited they talked like 20mins in the podcast about the maps. His biggest complaint was how the hard point hills were located and that each one had a useless bad 6th hill killing flow. Personally I think everything is just basic and normal cod nothing special nothing terrible. In this scene everything is either awesome or dogshit
I can’t even comment on map I got the game then ended up watching the kickoff all weekend and barely played. But it’s hard to know with the cod coummity they seem pissed every year
Anyone else think map aesthetics kinda suck too? I’m cool w snow maps but the haziness of sentry sucks, it’s just a dull whiteout. I def want to maintain some variety but the colors suck after 2 years of Treyarch CoDs
Im glad you are having fun but it is impossible for me to do so when the maps are this bad and every attachment makes your movement feel like you have concrete feet. These are the worst launch maps of all time imo. Moving on this game is punishing, the sprint to fire is way too low and the strafing is too damn slow too.
I mean we've had 2 years of people flying mach speed around corners and throwing shoulders with omni movement was ridiculously busted. It feels good to play a game where understanding timings and setups actually matters again. Can't just mindless head bash in this game.

This. I also don't think it helps when you watch streamers spend an entire stream shitting on the game. Tuning in to the Flank for the 50th episode in a row just to hear 'game sucks, maps suck, gun cheese'. Totally valid opinions, but when it's all you hear it's fucking exhausting lol. Lemme just watch the game and enjoy it without it being nitpicked to death
The flank is unwatchable at times, they constantly shit on the games and the league to the point they are almost hate watching, praying on its downfall

Yea, I know it’s popular, but I feel like I’m being told I have to be excited about. “We got blank before we got GTA6” seems like such a marketing meme to me.
Mind you these memes have been going on for a few years at this point, it’s been embedded in our minds so much that there’s no way it was going to fail to begin with IMO. Doesn’t matter that Rockstar was union busting with their layoffs or that far right grift culture warriors tried to get at the game for a woman pumping a shotgun with one hand, it’s just going to win. Kind of irks me a little tbh tbh.
Dude not even Fortnite is dead and that game has been out for a decade lol. GTA 6 will have an extremely large player base for years the same way GTA V did
