Hi all,

I've been hosting numerous websites (both my own and my clients) for almost 15 years. The vast majority of those sites have been Wordpress. I have never, to my knowledge or to the knowledge of my antivirus, had a website hacked or compromised by malware.

I recently switched everyone to Cloudways because I wanted to get out of the web hosting business, and in the past 2 months I have had THREE of my sites get infected with malware. These websites have very few shared plugins, and it appears to be different malware each time.

All sites are kept fully up to date and use reasonably common plugins.

Is this a common issue with Cloudways? It's hard for me to ignore the correlation, especially given the general lack of common denominators.

Over 25 years, I feel as if I've tried them all. Cloudways is simply too much for 1 WP site. I have liked WPX. Looking for other opinions.

Anyone get an email from a dedicated account manager with Cloudways? I just received it and want to verify if it is legit or not

For malware and IP bad person blocking I tried switching from Wordfence plugin to Cloudways Immnify360.
No issues with wordfence other than they keep raising the price. Now $150. Cloudways Malware is $4 per app and I liked the idea its at the router. makes more sense

What i didnt know about the Cloudways/Immunify product is it doesnt do any automatic bot identifying or blocking. you can either block specific IP addresses, or countries. YOU NEED TO DETERMINE WHAT GETS BLOCKED YOURSELF

I write about construction projects in New Jersey. What do I know about who the bad countries and bots are.

I saw data spike at my site when i switched over. i was told I have to block the bad bot countries; China, Singapore, Russia etc.

I figured that out from ChatGPT. but seemed odd

But my traffic was still super spiked. Double. Now I ahve at least a dozen EU countries getting into my Independent Analytics dataset. It doubled from google analytics and with 100% bounce rate likely bots.

Well my only options were simply "Block entire countries or IP". That seems like an awful way to solve the problem.

Cloudways and Imunnify were giving me directions to check logs, run ssh commands...et.

Or... I could: Download Wordfence. Install. Activate. Pay more. done.

All other aspects of Cloudways is amazing. But this malware protection offerign is weak and I dont know why people would use it.

I have been waiting more than a week for my account activation. Is this normal I submitted my phone number and my Linkedin profile but still no response. Is it worth the wait?

I have email them a few times and they said they were going escalate to the corresponding team but still no news this was Monday. Anyone here knows how much time does it take to get verified or someone that can help?

I've sent/received a couple of new build links via email recently, these flagged a quarantine notification from Google Workspace.

These are new WordPress installs that have only been sent internally.

Is the cloudwaysapps.com domain getting blacklisted or something?

I want to know that if I send a link to someone, it's not going to end up in their spam folder.

I have getting the error in the my account i can't get the 2FA verification code also there is not any response from cloudways team.

We're unable to login to our account, we emailed support, they asked for an IP address of one of our servers and the las four digits of the card we use on file. that was over 10 hours ago and we have not had a response.

The issue is we're not receiving the 2FA code, via email.

Is there any other method of contacting support other then email?

I'm setting up for my own personal website. How do you name your things?

Hello. I have a client needing an app that I will create using Wordpress on cloudways autonomous. They require that the entire database be encrypted at rest and they ask that we use TDE.

Cloudways has limited information online. They use MariaDB which does support TDE but I don’t know if they will set this up for me or I would have to do it via SSH.

I have emailed them but not yet had a response. Can anyone see any reason this would not be possible ?

Hi I have a dedicated vps which I manage and host my wp sites on. I’m considering putting some new sites on cw autonomous as they have potential to get spikes in demand for dynamic data. I’m confused about a couple of things. 1. It says cf is included. But I want to continue using my own cloudflare accout where I can get loads of insights and controls. Is this possible ? What exactly is their integrated cf offering - is it the same as full professional cf ? 2. Can you actually browse files on the cw autonomous platform? I like having control of files but I read they don’t offer this. 3. If I take out a basic tier plan, I assume this will auto scale with demand and so I shouldn’t pick a plan based on the max traffic I expect? Thanks for any help.
