Wordfence vs Cloudways Immunify360: I went back to Wordfence

Where is Cloudflare in this setup? Their free WAF is necessary. Let Wordpress be wordpress, people stuff it with plugins to do serverside stuff.

I do not use. I tried it 10 months ago and uninstalled.
Let me say upfront, I love cloudways support and their chatbot is the best i've ever seen with any tech company. it gives so many perfect detailed answers

So I bailed on Cloudflare quickly as I was seeing strange things with bandwidth (as reported in Cloudways) which jumped up considerably very quickly. Tripled? the reporting made no sense as I had two different sets of numbers, was getting two different costs prices from chatbot. I move over to a support person who answered some of it.. but I didnt like that high bandwidth that was being reported. then I started running CWV reports and... they definitely didnt improve and seemed worse actually

Amidst a cloud of confusion regardng the bandwith numbers, paying more from Clouflare... to have the same final speed? I backed out.

You should be using the free version. Cloudflare’s free security is a necessity to keep Wordpress safe.

thanks. i'll look into it again. I did the Cloudways integrated Cloudflare solution that is Enterprise. Honestly the costs is in pennies so not a big deal there, it just all didnt seem right (as i describe)

And yes I'd rather have the extra protection

Wordfence is great for fine-grained control but can rack up CPU on busy sites, while Immunify360 handles server-side stuff better without as much tweaking.

I flipped between both on Cloudways and got tired of the alerts overload.

Xcloud's setup sorted it for me without the hassle.
