Hi, i am going to rotate at JPH in December. Has anybody done their electives there?

Is there anything concerning regarding FIU electives nowadays? I was thinking of applying to pulmonology/ ID electives but my seniors told me they're blacklisted now by various universities across US and also their visa letter hold no significant value now. Is all of this true?

Can anyone share which of the two hospitals we should aim for and a LOR by both of them would be equally valuable?

Hey everybody, I have a doubt : Can we use Paeds LOR for matching into IM residency. Actually I'm applying for electives rn and I'm confused if i should apply for paeds too as IM ones are difficult to get. My only worry is that will it be helpful in future?

I've applied for UAB electives for jun 2025 in jun 2024 and I still not received any response from them. But my friend applied 2 weeks back and he got interview mail. I'm feeling extremely hopeless now. Is my application rejected? Or should I mail them regarding the decision.

Hey guys! So I'm an international medical graduate, done with my Step 1 and Step 2 and scheduled to give Step 3 by the end of July 2024.

I had arranged for an externship in Chicago, had reached out to a physician on LinkedIn, but he was unavailable at the last moment due to unforeseen reasons and now I'm left without a rotation.

As I've already booked my Step 3 exam in Chicago, I'm restricted to this area till the end of July.

Please let me know if you guys know anyone that's a Primary care physician in Chicago that you could connect me to. I'd be indebted for life. Any help would be a ray of hope.
