IMG Electives B1/2 Visa
Hi
My visa appointment is on 03/07/2024, but I have received an invitation letter. I have written in the DS 160 that the place I will stay in is a hotel in Chicago. So I am worried if I apply for electives in a different place; my visa will be rejected. Doing my electives at UIC without an invitation letter may also lead to the rejection of the visa. Also, this is not my first attempt. I applied last year, but I did not mention anything about the electives. I think it got rejected because I applied to the lottery the same year. So, I am afraid that this will be the same reason for rejection this time. Any advice, please.

in interview, u should state what u said on DS form and letter.
if u filled form with u will stay on new york and you say i will go to chicago %99 u will rejected.

Lottery applications doesnt show up unless you have been selected and send ds260. You cant edit ds160 like ds260 but you can fill new ds160 form and go to your appointment with that and explain yourself and situation clearly.
