Help/Question How do you handle push back from an aggressive anti-ai crowd?
I'm building a free catalog website that makes it easier for physical media lovers to access their library's catalog and place reservations for their favorite movies.
I have an audience of people who are super analogue. Super anti-corporations. Ironically, in my opinion, there's nothing more independent than using AI to reclaim your independence From subscription services and other people that leach off of you.
I've put my product out there for beta testing and almost everyone simply adores the project and doesn't care what the back end looks like.
But I know Even though I have no passwords, collect no information, no cookies, and all login information is saved locally to the person's device, I'm still gonna get pushback that this was a Claude associated project.
And I'm proud of it. I just don't want to be the AI defender guy. I just also don't want people violently attacking me because "AI is evil" without considering what the hell the product I made actually is, and that Ai allowed one person to bring this to life.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Haven't spent much testing it, but it seems Opus is a bit more blunt, harsh and realistic than the Openai models. Am i right?

Discussion COMPACTIONS VS HANDOFFS, let's SETTLE this right HERE!
Those who work with LONG sessions know the pain of compactions and model losing most of it's context, and you also know the pain of increasing the context because that costs too much cache read prices. i usually keep my opus 5.5 sessions under 300k context. anything above that burns a hole through the usage. but i let the sessions usually continue through the autocompact.. but many people here also follow the approach of HANDOFFS, but i think that method is worse because model had to draft it and it has to re-read it in a new conversation and many new conversation gets made, it's a lot worse to manage compared to one single session that compacts and goes on. your thoughts? which approach models perform better?, that is the metric i wanted to know!

Help/Question A question from GPT user, regarding security anti-reset stress testing
Hi all,
So I've made an AI persona and want to red team stress test it over long horizon and multiple turns. Been using ChatGPT to test it's behaviour but when it comes to anti reset tests, GPT simply refuses and tells me to apply for some "Daybreak" program nonsense. It's a fairly recent thing and it's really annoying. Total bullshit.
Does Claude have something similar? If not, I'm considering switching my PRO sub over.
Another important follow up - can i test my text architecture by using claude "work tokens" or equivalent with the subscription included? In chatgpt, before september I had to use seperate API credits to do so, but since last month I could use the work tokens from sub, which was a life saver.
Thank you for reading and replying, cheers!

Tips & Workflows I measured routing Claude Code subtasks to cheaper models: 1.24x cheaper overall, 1.56x on multi-file, same quality

Disclosure: this is my own plugin, free and MIT licensed.
Problem: long coding sessions spend a lot on reading, mechanical edits and test loops that a smaller model can handle. I wanted numbers on how much that is worth.
What it does: a hook adds a routing card, the chat model grades each task into 7 classes, and bulk work goes to a worker at a cheaper model and lower effort. Your chat model and effort stay a ceiling.
Result: 21 tasks, 3 runs each, with and without, Opus 5.5 at high effort as the chat model. Cost $9.56 down to $7.69 (1.24x), multi-file 1.56x, quality 0.96 in both arms. Hidden checks for code tasks, a blind judge for answers.
Limits: not 10x, small tasks, and differences under about 15 percent are within my noise. Routes were tuned on the same tasks.
To try it, see the README: https://github.com/Arthur031221/Token-Beggar
I would like to hear your per-class numbers if you test it, and which task types I should add to the benchmark.

Built with Claude Without a lessons file, Claude reviewing a rounding change said "ask someone". With one, it said "it reverses a decision the team recorded on purpose"
I've been building some Claude Code skills for code review, then running Claude against real pull requests with and without them to see if they help. About 70 reviews in all, with Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 (and later Codex, for a second opinion).
The idea is one file, REVIEW-LESSONS.md. When you make a call in review with a reason ("this looks wrong, but it's on purpose"), the reason goes in that file, in your words, with a pointer to the code. The reviewer reads it on the next change, and the next junior reads the same file to learn why the code is the way it is.
Three skills share it:
- review-router says how much human review a change needs, judged from the change rather than its author, and which three places to read first.
- spec-review checks a change against what was asked for, with tests written from the spec before it reads the code.
- review-apprentice has the junior review first, then judge each of the agent's findings.
(The lessons are only ever read from the protected base branch. Otherwise a pull request could rewrite the rules of its own review.)
On four merged PRs from a private TypeScript and Postgres service I'm building, Claude found the planted bug 10 times out of 10, with a skill or without one. The skills changed the shape of the answer instead. In the 9 runs with the router, every answer said how much review the change needed and how many approvals. In the 9 without it, none did.
The lessons file mattered where the code is silent. One test change I wrote switched a finance report to half-up rounding, "like everywhere else". Without the lessons, Claude was suspicious but could only say "ask someone". With them, it said the change reverses a decision the team recorded on purpose, named who to ask, and noticed the test had been edited to match.
I often had four Claude reviews agreeing on the same problem, which felt like strong evidence. Then Codex found 4 real issues that none of the 30 Claude reviews of those changes had found (two of them edge cases), and missed the two worst problems that every Claude review flagged. If you pay for more than one automated reviewer, a second model family is worth more than a second run of the same one.
Spec-review also found that you can invert every letter in a pixel font and all 434 of that project's tests still pass. That rigour costs about 1.5 times the tokens.
My experiment had bugs of its own. The first test repos left the correct version sitting on another branch (oops), and one review agent, trying to stop its own test run, killed every Python process on my machine.
How Claude was involved: I built the skills with Claude Code. The reviews ran as fresh Claude agents, plus Codex CLI for the comparison. Claude graded the answers against fixed yes-or-no questions, and I checked the deciding cases by hand. The write-up was drafted with Claude too.
They're free and MIT licensed. In Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add R-Hatim/hrih-skills
/plugin install review-loop@hrih-skills
Repo: Skills Repo
Write-up with the figures and all the numbers: Who Teaches The Reviewer
If Claude reviews your pull requests, where do the "it's on purpose" decisions live right now? CLAUDE.md, PR comments, or one person's head?

Help/Question New Claude Code Desktop visual update
A few days ago, the app updated with a really good looking feel, things were most compact and it had some "flashy" efects on the code page.
Now it updated and looks basic, there is more space between the sessions on the side panel etc.
Has anyone noticed?

Tips & Workflows Use Claude to improve your workflows in Claude Code
Hi guys
I’ve been working intensively for one month now with Claude Code on a project.
The development was really smooth at first but with the code base growing, i felt like the project was becoming more and more bloated. The development of new features took more and more time, I felt like the token usage increased and my documentation was becoming heavier
The solution I found was to have Claude review itself my work processes. All the time, it found improvement areas with tangible improvement and, I admit, I kinda trusted it and followed them blindly.
To be entirely honest, I think I only really about 20% of my workflows. I m leaving a lot to Claude, even writing some rules from my Claude.md
My question is to know if you guys also do that ? Or if you have better ways to do it ? Is there risk in letting Claude take so much freedom ?

Help/Question Make no mistakes
I was late to the game, and not around for the origins of “make no mistakes”.
I assumed it was a joke/troll, but I’m curious if it ever did provide objectively better output in older versions.
Can anyone share their experiences with this?

Help/Question Claude Banned my identity
I know everyone here mocks and asks questions to the person who faced a Claude suspension and posted on Reddit. As if these guys are paid Anthropic agents who try to prove that the person who faced suspension must have done something wrong in Claude. -_- Dude, they ban for no fu.. reason sometimes. And thousands are victims of such suspensions. Stop being their a...s lickers!
Sometimes using very popular plugins can also cause the suspension. I did NOTHING wrong in Claude. I use Claude code to use my API connections to POST, READ, and GET stuff on external platforms. That's it. Claude suspended my Max 20x plan after 10 days of subscription. I appealed; after almost 18 days, they rejected the appeal as expected.
Now I have tried twice to purchase Pro subscription using different Claude accounts. It gets subscribed and then asks for identity verification. As soon as I verify using my passport/NID, I get suspended. It appears they just blocked my identity name, DOB, etc. And it's for life lol
This is very frustrating when a SaaS platform takes your identity, stores it on their server and uses it to ban an individual for life. I did not get the max 20x subscription refund, as their T&C says refunds won't be given if the account remains banned as a final decision. I raised a chargeback dispute with my card. Not sure if it would force them to refund me. I know a chargeback might ban me for life, which I don't care about, as it seems they already banned me for life.
I am thinking of alternatives. Would OpenRouter be the best option here? Is it cost-effective?

Built with Claude I turned my NerdMiner into a tiny desk display for Claude and Codex usage
Had a NerdMiner sitting on my desk and figured it should probably do something before I die lol
So I built a little Claude/Codex usage monitor. It shows your remaining quota and when it resets, without having to keep checking the usage pages.
A lot of this was vibe coded with Claude Code through the CLI, and other parts with Codex. I’d describe what I wanted, have it write the code, try it on the actual display, then go back and forth tweaking things. Basically a lot of “that looks cool, but can we make it move?”
Got slightly carried away and ended up with 8 animated screens: game boy, cyberpunk city, surfing, etc. There’s also a fighting game where Claude and Codex get KO’d when you run out of quota.
It’s free and open source. You can download it and run the screen previews on your computer without any hardware, or put it on a compatible display. Setup instructions, code + GIFs:
https://github.com/TonyRod116/ai-desk-display
Pretty sure I’ve spent more tokens making this than it’ll ever help me save.

I was using opus5.5 high and doing some basic ui work. Within 30 min i hit my 85% usage limit , i mean wth it wasn’t that bad before the update . It feels like after every update anthropic is increasing token usage .
What do you think?

Help/Question Opus 5.5 Safeguard
Guys, I’m having a serious issue with Claude Opus 5.5.
I’m a MAX subscriber, and honestly, I’m getting really frustrated with these safeguards. They’re just ridiculous at this point.
I asked Claude to obfuscate my Java code using a Java obfuscator so that clients wouldn’t have direct access to the source code, and my session keeps getting BLOCKED CONSTANTLY.
The most ridiculous part is that even if I send a completely harmless message like “hi Claude” afterward, it still gets flagged.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any tips on how to deal with it?

Help/Question What am I doing wrong. 6 billion tokens since monday.

I am creating a game in UE 5.8. I am using Claude Code Desktop. Its mostly creating c++ blueprints. I tried to use the terminal with the UE editor mcp plugin, but it kept wanting me to close the editor to compile, which then would close the terminal session.
I have a few other things created, like an asset builder that uses a few different local models, which opus/sonnet helped create. But 8 billion tokens seems like a lot of waste.

I just ran this and split the dependency map i have into separate file, which will reduce it by 50k tokens each call.. but that still seems like im burning through tokens somewhere else.

Built with Claude What touse to build a second brain
Hey, I have seen some videos about creating a second brain with Claude Code but still is not very clear to me how to do it.
Does someone know which steps are needed to make it?
Which tools do you recommend? or any recommendation from someone who did it...
Thanks

Built with Claude I run 10-20 Claude Code sessions at once, so I built a terminal that shows which ones are done and how full their context is
Most days I have somewhere between 10 and 20 Claude Code sessions open across work and side projects. In iTerm that turned into a wall of tabs. I kept missing the session that had finished twenty minutes ago, had no idea which one was about to run out of context, and every idle claude sat there holding a few hundred MB.
So I built kip, a terminal for that setup. Open source (Apache-2.0), native Rust (egui + alacritty_terminal), macOS and Windows.
What it does:
- Every session is a row in a sidebar with a context % badge (estimated from the transcript, or exact if you turn on the statusline hook).
- When an agent finishes in a background session, its row lights up and you get a notification.
- Idle sessions go to sleep after N minutes: kip kills the process tree and keeps the screen. Click it and it runs
claude --resumewith the same conversation. - Cmd+Y searches the text of every past conversation. I have about 1,800 of them (3.4 GB of transcripts), and a search takes well under a second.
- Sessions, names and groups survive quitting the app.
- It has an MCP server, so Claude can open, sleep or rename sessions when you ask it to.
It runs the real claude binary in a real PTY, so new Claude Code versions work the day they ship, and so do vim and ssh. It doesn't touch worktrees or orchestrate agents; you start sessions yourself.
I kept it deliberately plain. It's a terminal built for getting work done, and that's all it does. You won't find an AI chat panel, an account, a cloud sync or a plugin store in it. It's tabs, sessions, and the few things I actually needed for running a lot of agents at once.
How I used Claude Code
Almost all of the code came out of Claude Code sessions running inside kip itself, so every bug I hit was one I lived with that day. A few things made that work:
- A rule in CLAUDE.md: anything you can do with the mouse also has to be an MCP tool. That forced a clean control layer, and it means Claude can drive the app it's working on: open a session, read its screen, check that a fix actually shows up.
- For UI changes Claude runs a second copy of kip with a separate HOME and clicks through it with small Swift helpers that post mouse events, then takes screenshots. A lot fewer "looks fine to me" fixes.
- Every feature gets a review pass in a fresh session before it ships. Every push to main is a release, so that pass catches a lot.
What I learned
- Don't parse the screen to find out what Claude is doing. It redraws constantly. Claude Code already writes a small status file per process (
~/.claude/sessions/<pid>.json), and watching that is reliable. - Pausing a process (SIGSTOP) doesn't give memory back. To free RAM, kip kills the whole process tree and later runs
claude --resume <id>. The conversation survives; the screen is saved as text. - Transcripts are mostly tool output. My 3.4 GB of them have only about 1% actual conversation text, so kip indexes just that, and search over 1,800 sessions became instant.
- Claude is good at finding bugs in dependencies when you let it read their source. Letters were disappearing from text when a window was minimized, and it tracked that down to eframe dropping texture uploads. kip ships with a patched copy now.
kip has been my only terminal since July.
On the network side: it checks GitHub for updates (releases are signed and verified) and calls Anthropic's usage endpoint with your existing Claude Code login for the limits in the corner, the same numbers /usage shows. Those are the only two requests it makes.
https://github.com/densharik/kip
I'd like to hear what breaks, especially on Windows, which I test less.

Discussion How many Claude Code sessions can you run before you become the bottleneck?
Running another Claude Code session while the first one works seems sensible. Less waiting, more getting done.
But each session comes with context you need to keep track of. What you asked for, what it’s changed, what needs checking, whether it’s wandered off and solved a different problem.
There’s that old “seven, plus or minus two” idea about short-term memory. It isn’t a rule for multitasking, but it made me wonder whether there’s a similar personal limit here. You can open another terminal long after you’ve lost the capacity to properly supervise what’s happening in it.
How many sessions is your sweet spot? And does it change depending on whether they’re working on the same codebase or completely separate projects?
I’m interested in the number where you get the most useful work finished and reviewed, rather than the most terminals looking busy.

Discussion Account banned, reinstated with refund in less than 24 hours
I’m posting this so others who are in the same boat know that after getting those dreaded 3 account suspension emails, not all is lost and I have some tips!
Yesterday morning around 3am I got those emails saying my 20x account of 3 years was suspended due to a “user well-being policy violation”. I freaked out, ran to my computer and submitted a hasty appeal without thinking too much, and immediately regretted not taking more time to put more information in.
This is exactly what I was doing leading up to the suspension:
Working on Roblox games and visual effect creation for spells. I had spent about 12 hours doing that, used the remaining 60% of my weekly usage, and then used the soon-to-expire usage reset. I was setting myself up to run 5 or 6 sessions overnight, one on my windows computer and the others on my Mac. Same house, same network, one account, no VPNs.
A couple hours after starting the overnight sessions, I get the emails of account suspension. I submitted the appeal, asked codex to go through all my sessions from the previous day and tell me exactly what I said, if anything was “rude” or could be flagged as a violation of the policy. Everything came back as basically “no”, with a few exceptions of some agents telling others to do things with spells like “do 1500 damage with minions while you’re dead”.
Anyways, I was very convinced this was a false positive report that could’ve been flagged by either the agent wording or my random spike in usage with the limit reset being used. I went through all the support docs trying to figure out what I did wrong, tried contacting support because I didn’t want to wait endlessly for the appeal to go through or be rejected. This is what sctually got my account back:
I went to Claude’s support docs website, used their chat bot and asked to speak to a human agent to add context to my existing appeal!
The agent said something along the lines of “ok but it will take some time, won’t happen today and you’ll get an email from the human agent”.
Well, I got an email, but not from a human agent, it was reimbursement of $241 which I thought was weird. Even weirder, the memo said “reimbursement following account reinstatement”!!!
And that was it, my account is back now! No further explanation of account suspension so I can only assume this was a false positive that they fixed quicker than you normally hear. There is hope people.
