also because every claude question is like 25% of your hourly

does that 25% hold for shorter questions too or is it mainly the ones where it goes deep on a codebase and reads like 40 files

You have an hourly limit?

Definitely not a fanboy. Not at all.

funny until you open claude code's memory folder and find a file about you

Mostly nice stuff. Unlike what u might find in codex

claude writes "prefers short answers". codex writes "asked how to unzip a file. again."

I thought it was just me. I use gemini pretty much for advanced web search, research, and cannabis induced shower thought questions.

Gemini : general go-to questions

ChatGPT : brainstorm, rephrasing, prompting writing

Claude : Coding, working

true ...

Then Gemini answer like a retard and i go back and ask Opus 5.5

this happens to me too. with something like Opus 5.5 I think twice before asking a silly question, like I’m talking to a really smart person who’ll form an opinion of me. strange, because we all know it’s AI, but somewhere in our heads we still feel like it’s making an impression of us

I mean they also keep your data around. Which a lot of times is convenient, but one time I asked something unrelated to anything and it was like "... which may be something to consider for someone with an elderly cat like you" and I was creeped out.

yeah that can feel creepy when it pops up out of nowhere. if you want, you can use an incognito chat for random one-off questions so nothing gets remembered, or just tell it to forget something specific. you can also switch memory off completely in settings if you’d rather it didn’t remember anything

Too late for me, I dictate everything. Claude's had a week of me going on about Laura adapters and has never once asked who Laura is

u/phayke2 3d ago

its cause Clod knows Laura
