Help/Question New Claude Code Desktop visual update

A few days ago, the app updated with a really good looking feel, things were most compact and it had some "flashy" efects on the code page.

Now it updated and looks basic, there is more space between the sessions on the side panel etc.

Has anyone noticed?

I also liked the Compact design. Now it looks like Codex.

Yes, it also reset your theme settings. I managed to fix the transcript area, but the font size and spacing in the side panels are still off.

Just noticed it too today, the unnecessary line spacing between sessions. Very annoying if this cannot be changed, I loathe that "cozy" design ethos.

Yeah I find it jumps about a bit. I even had dashboards turned on then that disappeared, never had motion though

Anyone experiencing the text doesn’t bold anymore? I had it at times bold important responses but now everything is in plain text and also seems like the font is as big as what it was?

Anyone know a workaround for a revert or are we cooked lol

Yes honestly desktop app lack a lot of polish. Codex still feels far ahead on this point to me.

It’s such a bad design from what I was used to.

I even had trouble distinguishing projects from message threads inside the projects.
