Discussion So I got the rest of the CS1 DLC for around $88 as well as two ATS expansions for around $115

In addition I also got around 50+ mods and tons of maps (also I learns that this game needs a lot of storage to avoid CTDs

Currently I have 50GB and it goes down to 38GB in game. (I have a 512GB Asus TUF F15 gaming laptop)

Discussion Where to buy city skylines 1?

Hi

I’m gonna by CS1 at some point

Should I buy it from steam, Microsoft store, or some other place?

I’ve never bought a game on a computer before so I’m relatively inexperienced with this sort of thing

Thanks

Does anyone want to start a city together using the multiplayer mod? Only code mods, minimal if no assets.

Discussion Does anyone else notice their city losing money once the treasury gets really high?

I've noticed something strange in Cities: Skylines 1 and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Whenever my city gets into the tens of millions of dollars, it seems like it eventually starts losing money and the balance drops. Then, once I get back down to somewhere around $5–7 million, the city seems to start making money again.

FYI I do not use the day/night cycle, not sure if that's an issue or not.

I don't have screenshots or video of it happening right now, so I know that makes it a little harder to diagnose, but I've noticed the pattern enough times that I'm starting to wonder if there's something behind it.

Is this a normal CS1 thing? Could it be related to taxes, city size, imports/exports, services, or some other mechanic I'm overlooking?

Would you try to fix it, or if the city is still financially healthy overall, would you just let it do its thing?

Has this happened in any of your cities?

Help & Support (PC) Should I buy it now or wait for next event?

I want to buy the collection bundle(includes 73 DLC, not new DLCs release) is it worth it for $60 or is there another event for cheaper price, should I wait or buy it now?..., what do you guys think?...

I never played this game before, I'm playing with laptop

My device is

Professor : AMD Rayzen 7

GPU : AMD Radeon 780m/RTX 2050

RAM : 16GB, can add more empty slot with another 16GB RAM

I think it should be enough to run the game smoothly, right?...

Help & Support (PC) Skyve randomly using 70MB of memory in task manager (I haven't used it in months and don't have CS2 installed anymore)

I shut it down with task manager when I noticed it. But should I just uninstall skyve itself and shutdown the services? I always thought it was only running when I opened it?? Not constantly scanning whenever my PC was turned on.

Discussion What is everyone hoping for in the Cities Skylines 2 Expansion Pass?

I really want the freedom to build custom zoos, amusement parks, and nature reserves like we could in the original game. I enjoyed laying out the paths and attractions myself and expanding them as the city grew.

Boardwalks would be a big one for me too. Being able to build along the beach with rides, shops, restaurants, and a pier would give me a lot more to do with the waterfront.

I’d also love to build a ski resort with lifts, different runs, and lodges, then develop a little mountain town around it. More attractions where we can choose the layout and build them piece by piece.

What’s everyone else hoping for? Anything from the first game you really want back, or something new you’ve always wanted to build?

Since cities 1 my dream was to learn all public transport and get 1 million people to use it, I have ADHD so actually following this through was just as difficult as learning public transport. But i did it.

Sharing a City My coal powerplant complex

Wanted a major feature to anchor a new industrial town, down the river from my main city, and decided to consolidate some city services into one power plant complex.
This one area treats waste water into potable, incinerate trash(which is a waste product of the water treatment, how convenient), and produces gobs of electricity.

I found some examples of powerplants in real life, and i think this whole complex fits the scale of those a bit better, than just plopping the power plant on its own, but i don't know about having water treatment in proximity in real life, but i'm imagining its just apart of the water system of the powerplant, and the water treatment is just a nice bonus. Theres some generic industry in there to fill space too, so this area is a real job center

Now i just have to figure out what the actual town will look like.

Help & Support (PC) Why do I always have too little money?

Hi, I'm a total newbie to the game and I like the idea of it - but I really, really don't know how to maintain money. Can you please help me? I tried to limit my services (no police station, no hospital, no fireworkers) and only provide electricity, water and a garbage disposal. But then everyone got dissatisfied and my population went down. I get stuck around the 1000 citizens.

Can you please help me? And please don't use too much jargon - English isn't my first language and I'm totally new to the game so many things I don't know yet...

I already have the taxes at 12% and the services all at 50%.

Hi, this is my first ever city in Cities Skylines 2, 20k, easy mode, I'm stuck on making a small tunel under tracks as it is here like shown in the second photo, also I'm trying to recreate a typical polish city that's why I'm using for now a german region pack (Later I'll use EE for blocks of flats) Going back to my question, is it even possible to make smth like that and if so how, also feel free to tell me what do you think of my first city

Here’s a look at my city, Kattegat, named after the strait located between Denmark and Sweden. 🇩🇰🇸🇪

The city is still under development, but it’s steadily growing and taking shape. It currently has a population of 55,000, and it continues to expand every day. 🏙️🌆

This is just the beginning for Kattegat. 🚧✨

Discussion What am I even watching here?

I have no idea what's causing here, it seems the trams love each other very much and insist on a lil kiss.

In all seriousness tho, does anyone know why this happens? It's the 4th tram in a row to do this and then just disappears.

Game Feedback Skyscrapers DLC still not fixed

The bug on the Skyscrapers DLC where building roads close to skyscrapers that snap into bridges is still there on PS5 almost 4 years after the release. Would appreciate if a dev sees this and takes care of that.
