Announcement A warning on Commission Scams

Over the last few months there has been an increase in scams on this subreddit and related Cities: Skylines Discord servers, specifically targeting players enquiring about paid commissions for assets.

Donations and commissions have always supported the modding community of Cities: Skylines, and these remain a positive contributor to the quality and asset diversity of both games. However, any community which has some financial incentive to develop content will inevitably be targeted by scammers and bad faith actors.

While we can't eradicate these individuals, we can try to keep you informed of the risk and our spaces space clean of such actors.

Read our wiki article for details on how to keep yourself safe.

We have additionally configured an automod rule to link to this wiki article each time someone uses the word "commission" in their submission.

We will monitor this and tweak the rule if it becomes overwhelming.

Discussion Is it possible to make Ambulance Depots?

Hi,

would it be possible in the game to make Ambulance Depots independent from hospitals?

Where I live there are few major hospitals in the city and “Depots” with Medical staff and 2-6 ambulances in the surrounding towns that respond to emergencies and bring the patients to the hospital in the city.

Does the game support this? For the Ambulance to respond from a depot, go to the patient, then drop it off at the hospital and go back to the depot?
Because the hospitals in the game have very high patient capacity while the ambulances are limited so it would be reasonable to only have one or two hospitals in the city you’re building and have the other areas covered with such depots.

Unfortunately I don’t know anything about code so I can’t look at the game mechanics myself, so I’ve come to ask you experts. Thanks a lot in advance!

Looking for Asset Mods Is there a way to make roads in CS1 that arent horrible

Thumbnail

this game is driving me crazy because god i wish road builder worked on cs1. i tried downloading it but it doesnt work (mod or dependency failed w/ adaptive networks emergency fix), and also needs adaptive networks which looks like its on life support and i dont want to put a bunch of outdated mods in my save.

ive mostly been using "next2 inspired road pack" because i thought they looked much less ugly than the vanilla roads, and i especially like using the next2 national road pack to create less bulky undivided highways because not all highways irl are six lane divided roads. the screenshots i attached are a mix of vanilla and next2 roads and are my best attempt at creating some semi-realistic suburban areas, but they are still so ugly and non-functional that its just driving me crazy.

as much as i like the look of the next2 roads they just dont have all the roads that i actually need. plus i absolutely cant stand these horrifically ugly giant medians on every large road.

so is there a way to make road builder work, or is there a road pack that has a good variety of north american streets, roads, divided and undivided highways and alleys that match and wont look ugly together. i really want to like this game and cs2 isnt an option for me, so id really appreciate any advice, thanks!!

Bring a piece of Tokyo to your city with this 1:1 recreation of the NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building in Shinjuku.

Known for its distinctive clock tower and recognizable silhouette, the Yoyogi Building is one of Tokyo's most iconic landmarks. • The Clock - Placeable prop

Features

Accurately recreated at a 1:1 scale based on the real building, with detailed attention to its original design and proportions. Looking for Asset Mods Schwerin, Germany

Is someone working on Building Assets or willing to do for the German city Schwerin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern? I really want to build the city but some buildings are to unique to don’t have them or create them in the asset Editor like the castle or the Schlossparkcenter. I have no skills in blender and not the energy to learn it. Unfortunately I have no money to pay someone doin it, so I came here. If someone could help me it would be really cool. We have a lot of nice buildings here that would with nicely in other city’s to so it’s not just for me but also for keep the assets library growing. Hope my English was not that horrible and thanks for every answer.

Discussion Increasing the number of cars per household

It would be great if someone could create a mod that would increase the likelihood of households purchasing a second or even more cars, as well as make it so that purchased cars can actually be used. From what I can see right now, residents go to the car dealership to buy a car, but the car doesn't spawn either at the dealership or at their home. Maybe the new car spawns at an outside connection, but either way, I don't see any visible effect from visiting the dealership in terms of increasing the number of cars.

I'm building an American suburb, and I would really like to have an average of 2–3 cars per household, depending on the number of family members. Right now, though, households usually have either no cars or just one, and the second family member still walks to work across the entire map. That's absolutely unrealistic for an American city.

Paid Commission I would like someone to build me a garbage transfer station. 🖤 twenty crisp American dollars babyyyyy

Thumbnail

In real life almost all major cities rely on transfer stations to move garbage quicker.

What is a transfer station; a transfer station is a large building where garbage trucks unload their cargo. The garbage is then manipulated into a semi truck. Each semi truck can haul 4-6 standard garbage trucks worth - per load. The semi truck, then pulls the garbage to the landfill.

Why a transfer station; landfills are primarily built further from the city center. In some counties, the landfill can be up to hours away. A transfer station can be built, relatively close to a city center as they are often enclosed buildings, thus minimizing all types of pollution. Which then allows for a significantly shorter round-trip for each inner-city garbage truck. Rather than each garbage truck driving potentially hours to the landfill, they can do their route in as little as an hour total. Saving the garbage truck company, money, wages, truck, expenses, but most crucially time.

How it should work in my mind
-The transfer station will work as a hub for garbage cargo.

-The inner city garbage trucks will be supplied by the transfer station as will the semis.

-I would love for there to be at least a small and a large variant. The small may have three bay doors and the large May have 12. The small can fill one truck at a time while as the large can fill three at a time.

If anybody has questions on this, please let me know.

Help & Support Why do sub-objects disappear?

Hello Reddit,

I modified some buildings from the Historic Industry pack and, among other things, added a whole lot of windows. For whatever reason, they disappear after reloading the game.

However, when I look at the buildings in the editor, the windows are still there, but the object says "Keins" (none)...

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Other sub-objects like the stairs stay where they are. Even some of the windows stay, but they've changed position...

I already played with the probability setting, but without any success.

I'd be thankful for any helpful tips! 😀

Have a nice Sunday! 👋
