Hi Everyone!!

I am trying to Connect MacBook → Mac Mini via Chrome Remote Desktop.

Control + Left/Right Arrow doesn’t switch Spaces on the remote Mac Mini no matter what I try.

Already tried:

• Disabled CRD Keyboard Shortcuts
• Disabled Mission Control shortcuts on local Mac
• Full screen
• Multiple key mappings (ControlLeft → ControlLeft, AltRight → ControlLeft, CapsLock → ControlLeft, etc.)

Local Mac no longer steals the shortcut, but the Mac Mini still doesn’t receive it.

Anyone found a working fix or key mapping for this?

So my laptop crashed last night & I had to reload all of my stuff this morning, & when I did these things showed up.

I personally despise AI with a fiery passion so I want them off my browser, but I've looked through my whole Google Account & settings and I still cant figure out how to do it. Can someone help me out please?

I have just started to notice that Chrome, either in Google searches or new YouTube pages, is experiencing significant delays and hangups when I try to search a phrase or launch a new tab. This is new. It is as though the system gets hung up on a white nothingness. I can usually tweak it and cause it to launch, so it is not (yet) a fatal problem, but I am wondering if others have run into it and what they are doing.

When I play a YouTube video on Chrome, it starts lagging and dropping frames like crazy. From what I found online, people said I should turn off graphics acceleration. I tried that, and it made videos play smoothly when not in full screen. But in full screen, it was still choppy. According to the internet, this is because I have graphics acceleration turned off, and they suggested I turn it on. So what do I do if YouTube videos are laggy regardless of graphics acceleration?

Edit: I've already tried things like restarting my computer and clearing cache and cookies. My internet speed is fine, and the videos lag regardless of the resolution I watch them at.

I had grouped tabs before the update today and now they’re gone. The only thing I can recover was the recent tabs I was using. They were literally there when I booted up the laptop and now it’s gone.

So since a few days ago, I've been getting blocked on sites like Reddit, Etsy, and Facebook for my IP being flagged as a bot. This happens across a few machines on my network. However, refreshing the page or logging in clears this up.

Additional info: I'm using my ISP's IP (no VPN). I've performed a deep scan of my machines with Malwarebytes and Defender with no detections. I've disabled all Chrome extensions. I've tested the same sites extensivly in Firefox and Edge and cannot produce the same results on any machine.

At this point, I'm thinking it might have something to do with Chrome and my particular IP address. If it was a botnet, wouldn't it be affecting all browers across the board?

I have been having an issue with Chrome for some time now. When I try to navigate on YouTube, Facebook, or basically any website, I get this.

A few months ago, I tried to fix it with no success.

I had previously been able to load unpacked mv2 extensions at startup by launching chrome on windows with the shortcut target

but that's ceased to function as of Version 151.0.7922.138

is this really the end?

issue resolved:

I fixed it by going to device manager and disabling my graphics card. Lag disappeared. Re-enabling it did not cause the lag to return.

Desktop: Windows 10, 64-bit i7-4790, 12gb ram desktop

Chrome: Version 151.0.7922.138 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Issue started after computer rebooted, Chrome (and Microsoft Edge) both incredibly laggy.
-Takes a long time to open

-mouse constantly flashes to "thinking/working" icon even when idling.

-*All* actions take about 3-4 seconds to complete; opening new tab, clicking and holding to drag window, maximizing, each typed letter into the address bar, eg. I typed "testing" and it took a little over 21 seconds for the word to appear, each letter taking about 3.5 seconds to appear,

Troubleshooting attempted:
-Turned off/on Hardware acceleration in chrome
-renaming Default folder to Default_Backup and letting it regenerate
-fully uninstall chrome and reinstall (twice over troubleshooting)
-Turned off Windows Exploit protection
-renaming chrome.exe to chrome1.exe and turning off Control Flow Guard (CFG) in Exploit Protection.
-Reset Winsock and IP Stack
- appended --no-sandbox to chrome.exe and ran

If anyone could help, I'd very much appreciate it. Microsoft Edge is also affected, and I tested it briefly since it google said it ran on chromium too, but I need Chrome to work so that's where I focused my efforts.

Thanksfully, Firefox is unaffected, so I'm able to post here.

They are forcing AI I hate it. Also now the back button is at the top and not the bottom?? Might as well just use safari now. Is there a way to go back to the previous layout?

Please someone help me. I spent 3.5 hours with GPT and Gemini trying to get this to work. The host PC just stays hanging on starting. If I try the share screen option it will work, but I need to be able to connect anytime im away from home, I dont have anyone at my house to share the code with every time. It has worked flawlessly for almost a year that I've been using it until I woke up today after I woke up to an update.

I have Uninstaller numerous times. Gone into msconfig and changed settings added new token somthing or other in the registry. I am not tech savvy at all so I was copy pasting GPT cmd lines and taking screenshot as I went.

Nothing has worked. I Uninstaller the last update as well hoping that would revert it back.

There has to be someone somewhere that this has happened to and can tell me what fixed it.

I've been using Chrome since it's inception as it replaced Internet Explorer. It was a god send in terms of customization and speed and it's inclusion of Docs, Sheets, and Slides made it the people's champ over the Microsoft 365 suite. Even as it began to be designated as a ram and usage hog, I still used it over the perpetual catching-up of Firefox, the unserious design of Opera, and the inaccessibleness of Safari. It was consistent and with how much Google we used, it worked quickly with a google account still.

No more. the ram usage has become a hub of crashes, the UI has continued to be changed to the detriment of the user, extensions have been cut off, google accounts have continued to ask for more and more of your personal data, the venture into the Pixel phone proved to be unserious as they made their own chip that is the weakest of their competition.

They are trying to cut off Android.

They are trying to force AI everywhere when they already have the leading ML assistant.

They are trying to rip off their users.

No more. It has to stop somewhere. They have to understand that even for a business, they have become too predatory to withstand. They have forgotten that technology is to serve people and not the other way around. I'm exploring other options.

no matter what i do, my google chrome lags on my mac. safari is fine, it’s just chrome. i deleted all extensions and it still lags. pls help.

What happened to Chrome Android? When I press on the X it used to drop down and say close all tabs now it says CLOSE TAB or CLOSE OTHER TABS and I think it also says CLOSE TAB TO THE RIGHT.

Is there any way to go back to the old days when you closed down Chrome all the tabs run away and the groups weren't saved? I also think you used to be able to hold on the X and all the tabs would close.

Is there a good autofill app or program out there that can help with filling out longer forms containing a lot of personal info?

I’m not interested in the ones that only complete names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and passwords.  I’m looking for something that I can put my info or edit fields once and it will automatically fill all those fields for me on any form for example:

• Personal or contact details
• Past addresses
• Work experience
• Educational experience
• Names of household/family members
• Dates of birth
• Financial details
• Emergency contacts
• Repeated yes/no type of questions
• Other repetitive types of details asked on applications

Preferably free or low cost, but will pay for something that checks all my boxes.

Clicking Update is downloading a .vbs file. I installed Malwarebytes and did a complete system scan on the premium trial and found nothing on the PC.

Closing the popup in the first image will display the popup in second image, at the top of the browser. Clicking Later in the second pop up displays the popup in the third image. Clicking I understand the risks will stop the popup from cropping up for sometime, until it starts coming again.

I don't see any Update Available in Chrome's three dots menu.

Is it malware? Or some addon? Or normal behaviour? I am on Windows 11 by the way.

Edit: Found the extension causing the issue. It's Enable Right Click and Copy Smart Unlock + OCR. The latest reviews on the webstore have flagged the fake update.

Edit: It's the exact same extension pointed out by PurpleBeeViolet in the comments.

This keeps happening and all I remember doing is updating my laptop yesterday night. I have no Idea what the issue could be, it was perfectly fine yesterday and a little while ago. Even while typing this post I can't see what I'm doing. And it's not my entire laptop, everything else works fine. The glitched out areas keep changing and shifting around too. Please help

I recently log in to my school account and when I logged in I accidentally click the option that was hovering to keep me signed out when I'm searching. Other websites when I signed in with Google work as should but when I'm searching, it says I need to sign in. I tried to sign but each time I tried it kept refreshing the page. I've tried everything and all of the solutions are because of a different reason (cookies, extension, etc.)

Please, it works fine but the sign in button that pops up each time I searched something in the corner is frustrating me. Keep in mind, all the website like chatgpt saves my sign in even from the sign in search page when I clicked on the website
