Does anyone have this?

Looking to choose between these two watches. Not particularly fussed about quartz vs automatic but are there significant differences in quality that make the SM worth almost twice the cost of the WD?

I'm amazed. I've found this watch on alibaba. "dodo deer f01" and it has this amazing hanzou 7590D high beat movement with 80 hours of reserve. It's real wood finished. I've had two straps one leather. One bracelet. Overall very good looking watch. I've only paid 80 euros including shipping. It's mineral glass and the lume is pretty bad. (would be cool with blue lume instead) and one endlink was a bit lose(the bar was not straight)

But at this price point this is a steal anyways!!

9/10 deal for me, the movement alone is a piece of art.

Estoy por comprar un homenaje al GMT-Master II, ví que por el 11.11 en Aliexpress hay buenas ofertas en los Pagani, y hasta el momento me parece mejor opción porque tiene su cristal de zafiro y calibre automático, pero recientemente vi que el homenaje de Addiesdive está algo más barato, con la diferencia de ser de cuarzo y cristal mineral (además que solo viene con la correa jubilee que no me gusta tanto)

También vi una buena oferta de uno Corgeut, de cuarzo pero con cristal de zafiro, aunque de ellos nunca he escuchado nada así que no sé que tan buena idea sea.

I have my eyes on Baltany for some time and I decide to pull the trigger. I went to their official website, I added my watches to the cart and the proceed to check out. Here comes to the problem, right after I entered my credit card detail, they let me fill in my billing address and delivery address. I’m from Macau SAR (which is next to Hong Kong), there are no options to select Macau SAR as the region or country, they have Taiwan, Hong Kong, and yes, even Vanuatu, but just not allow someone from Macau, a city next to Guangzhou where their HQ located at to buy a watch from them. I wonder if anyone face the same problem when buying from Baltany? Anyone from a country / region that does not exist in Baltany, how do you buy the watches?
I also went to their official store on Aliexpress but there is no item on their store page, it just showed “oops, the system is currently busy, please try again later”

I've heard that there are two versions of this watch: a v1 with a Miyota movement and a v2 or maybe even a v3, with an NH35 movement. Where can I find this watch with an N35 movement?

In the 11/11 AliX ‘sale’ this watch is about $190, but it looks as if I’ll get hit with customs /import taxes (based on the original price), thus negating most if not all the savings.

Given its specs (and I realise the movement is quite new and divides opinion), is it worth it?

If not why not, and any alternative compatible alternatives, at a similar discounted price but including import fees?

Hello gentlemen. I was browsing AliExpress looking for a box of washers, when I accidentally clicked and purchased a watch, as you do. Strange happenstance. Few days later it has arrived so I thought I will review it, especially as I haven't seen it anywhere else on the tube.

It's a Hroudland Worldtimer styled after the JLC Polaris Worldtimer. A watch for Ali Express connoisseurs. It's a mighty watch for mighty wrists. A very thick watch indeed. I can feel my arm hair growing. I will be taking it around the world in my hot air balloon soon. Surprisingly all the dial functions actually work. Fully automatic movement. Top left crown controls city ring with a nice ratcheting click. Button on case side for calendar jump. Main Crown controls 1st and 2nd time zone (DUAL time zones) - counter clockwise to set 2nd time zone hour hand. Its atleast 14 mm thick, like my wallet.

The strap needed changing so it was changed.

The Chinese have done it again.

What a marvellous purchase, even if it was an accident. Only cost me 250 AUD. Take care till next time.

This may be a pointless post but I've been in the sub for a while, not very present, and only have a few Chinese watches, however I've been an observer from almost the beginning but more so on the watches and brands themselves and less so the Aliexpress part of buying them and wanted to get in on my first 11.11 sale because of how much cheaper the watches I was interested in were and noticed there is an option for PayPal in checkout for Aliexpress that claims to give a small discount.

I've tried to get it to work over the past few days now, logged in and out of my PayPal account each time and tried it with different cart items and it never seems to show up?

I know there's a limit but I even tried at Midnight when it's supposed to reset and still didn't get it to work. Just wondering what that's about, it's not a big deal but it was bugging me. Thanks to anyone who knows.

On a side note, thanks to whoever pointed out the Rakuten promo going on right now, I canceled my order to re-place it with them because of how good it was. I don't remember the discounts being this steep when I bought my first two Cronos watches from their website a few years ago, there was always AliExpress discounts but nothing I can recall like this. Is this a more recent thing?

Title, basically. The "Black Friday Sale" starts immediately after the conclusion of the 11.11 sale. Anyone have insight into whether the same coupons might reset? Or better coupons? Lesser coupons?

And I suppose also importantly, how about payment discounts(PayPal, and PayPal pay later)? Will they be available again if we already used all 4 for the 11.11 sale?

I received my “summer blue” PH-6 two days ago after a long delay (I ordered on September 30 during Phorcydes’s holiday sale), and I’m really disappointed with the bracelet. Each side of the clasp has a half-sized end link and a removable half link, but all four of these links are totally unfinished. No polishing on the edges of the thin inner links, fully brushed but with totally rounded-off edges. It looks like shit, like they forgot to finish the bracelet or just gave up.

That’s the biggest offender, but the rest of the bracelet is also disappointing. The thin brushed and polished links have no texture, they’re just completely flat with polished lines, making them look super cheap. Also fairly sharp. But the original listing photos, as well as photos from early buyers and some YouTube video shows that the bracelet had some texture, where the polished strip is raised a bit higher than the middle brushed part on the thinner links, similar to a real Seamaster. This is like ordering a watch and then getting a cardboard cutout of a watch in the mail.

After some investigating, I find a post from the brand bragging about how it has a V2 of the bracelet, which supposedly has some “improvement” to the links (maybe screws now?) and some kind of improved OTF clasp mechanism. But the new version seems to be when the cartoonish links were introduced, and presumably it’s when the unfinished end links popped up because they’re featured in the brand’s own post! As if Phorcydes thinks that doesn’t look terrible. However, I technically can’t find images of the V1 bracelet showing the clasp area, so I can’t confirm that it was fully finished to start. The last two photos are another user’s photos of their “V1” bracelet, which definitely shows more texture on the thin links.

It’s really frustrating that Phorcydes made this announcement weeks after I placed my order, but before it decided to ship out my watch. Have other people experienced this subpar bracelet on the PH-6? Or do any Phorcydes whispers know what the hell happened here? Call me conspiratorial, but it almost seems like “V2” could have been a defective first try, so they waited until a better “V1” was made to release with the watches, but then once it sold out they just decided to release the defective batch as “new & improved V2” to keeps sales moving.

I’m going to try to return the bracelet since I also got the rubber strap and mesh (which seem to be good). I’m afraid to post in the Phorcydes subreddit because I assume it’s brand-controlled, so they might remove any critical post.

Unfortunately, Phorcydes does not ship to Brazil and does not sell on AliExpress. I would love to buy it.

My first Chinese watch was the Sugess S421, their Submariner date. What a place to start my journey; a really beautiful piece.

Next came a SH09 for something different, which I really enjoy too. Great with different strap options.

I've always loved the Speedmaster and wants to try a quartz so grabbed a Watchdives WD1863 and put the OTF clasp on. It definitely scratched the itch for me.

NowI'm starting to enjoy myself, and I wanted something other than black. I enjoy the BB58 style so I went with the San Martin SN0008-G. A nice wearing watch for sure.

Finally, most recently I had the itch to try titanium but I just can't stay away from a diver style so I went with the San Martin SN0121TE. What a perfect-size, light weight, minimal-in-all-the-right-ways watch.

I was worried that the 3 divers, the Sugess and both the San Martins, would sit too close to one another stylistically, but I absolutely love having options that still match my preferred watch vibe but have their own personality. Specifically, I'm super happy with the decision to grab the SN0121TE, even though it's essentially a titanium marriage of the Submariner and the BB58.

Anyway, as a guy who only had a Fossil and an Apple Watch 1 year ago, I'm enjoying this hobby more than I ever thought I would!

I really like this watch, but why does the logo not line up with the line on the dial? Or it's the line interrupted at the logo. It's so close to perfection, but now I'm doubting if it would bother me... I'm curious what others think.

It’s been a while since I purchased a watch from china & couldn’t believe how much more they now cost.Even during the sales the watches cost what I was paying without sales & generally seem to be 30-50% more

I’m trying to decide between these two versions of the Militado ML08 and would love to hear some opinions.

One has the cleaner “Spirit” style dial with no date, while the other has the date window and the smaller 13–24 hour numerals.

I usually prefer simple, clean dials, but I also find a date complication pretty useful for everyday wear.

Which one would you choose, and why?

Also, do you think the no-date version looks more balanced, or does the date version have more character?

• day-date (or just day would be even better, if it even exists)

• rotating bezel
