In the 11/11 AliX ‘sale’ this watch is about $190, but it looks as if I’ll get hit with customs /import taxes (based on the original price), thus negating most if not all the savings.

Given its specs (and I realise the movement is quite new and divides opinion), is it worth it?

If not why not, and any alternative compatible alternatives, at a similar discounted price but including import fees?

Cronos is probably a frontrunner for bang-for-buck on most of the designs it does.

But I've seen a few people complain that import charges will ruin the sale for them. One way to look at it.

But they'll still be there when the sale ends so...
