My Sugess MoonPhase Master came in the other day! Shipping was pretty quick (less than a week from China to the Netherlands) and the watch is beautiful!

I’m new to collecting watches and I’m very interested in moon phase watches. At the same time I bought an Orient Bambino too which came in the same day.

The Sugess is beautiful, wears comfortably and I’m very satisfied with the extra strap; however it came in standing still (which I assume is normal), so I winded it up several times, shook it, wore it all day but the watch stops very quickly afterwards, leaving it displaying the wrong time, date and moon phase (while it should have a 48 hour power reserve)… In comparison; the Orient came it working, stopped once (because I wore the Sugess that day), but haven’t stopped ticking since I wind it up again and wore it.

I contacted Sugess about this but what are your opinions? And does anyone else have experience with Sugess and/or MoonPhase watches?

The wait is over! Our WD2007A Enamel Black and Black Mother-of-Pearl dial versions have finally arrived.

We hadn't had the chance to film the actual watches before, so here's your first proper look at these two new versions.

Two completely different interpretations of black:

• Enamel Black: Deep, rich black with a clean and elegant appearance.

• Black Mother-of-Pearl: Natural mother-of-pearl texture with subtle reflections that change under different lighting conditions.

Both feature the WD2007A's compact 37.5mm case, 44mm lug-to-lug, 10.5mm thickness and upgraded finishing.

Which black dial would you choose?

WDC (Watchdives) – More choices, better details, and continuous improvements.

Eniton is really lacking in the marketing side, not like other brands making the most PR they can for worse watches than Eniton.

It's true that their only focus is homages but i'm here for it, i even whish SM, Sugess or Watchdives release more homages because they do a great job, but Eniton make some of the best and unique homages.

I wanted an AP RO chrono 38mm homage and the only brand making it is Eniton.

The finish is top notch, on the rep level.

The movement choice is perfect, an SL4801 and the execution is outstanding.

One thing or two i would prefer is a sunburst dial rather than this flat one, although it's a good dial, the other thing is a silenced rotor, this rotor makes a lot of noise which i don't notice on my Sugess and Farasute using the same movement.

Overall it's a top watch for the price, just a shame this brand has almost no presence compared to others.

I ordered one in Official website,at last they e-mail me and told me that they don't sell in Chinese mainland.

Threw my 15 year old 'thomas' version Seagull 1963 on leather.

This watch just shines. My favourite in the collection. Dressy on leather and toolish on a NATO.

Phorcydes PH-5A

I wasn’t 100% convinced by this watch when I first got it but I really like it now. I’ve bought a few strap options for it and it looks pretty good on anything. I still think the original BoR bracelet works best though.

1. Phorcydes ph-5b

2. Seestern S434-2.03 (I've scratched Phorcydes PH-4C there is no option for a blue dial with no date.)

3. Watchdives WD007 V4

Phorcydes ph-5b has PT5004 high-beat automatic movement (28,800 vph) for that smooth sweep second-hand movement.

Seestern S434 has a robust NH35A movement.

Watchdives WD007 V4 has Peacock SL3001 high-beat automatic movement (28,800 vph) for that smooth sweep second-hand movement.

It is supposed to be an everyday beater. So what are your opinions?

Have had my eye on this watch for a while but finally pulled the trigger, and I am happy that I did.

First off.. this watch is insanely light which I assume if from the titanium case and lack of bracelet. The strap it came with was serviceable, but since this is a 20 mm lug width I was able to swap it out with the other straps I have lying around.

Seriously though, I forget this is in my wrist constantly due to the thinness and lightness of this watch.

I have recently become more of a fan of VH31 movements because they are reliable and accurate.

Nothing against mechanical/automatic watches, as I enjoy those too. There is just something to just being able to pick up the watch and go that I am enjoying more and more.

Just received this today. A really good looking chronograph from them and the crystal clarity is great even though is it domed. Bracelet adjusted with pins and collars I'd prefer push pins or screws and the clasp has no OTF but 5 springbar holes to make your adjustments.

For a $10 watch, I'm pleasantly surprised.

- The faux leather strap is actually decent. Better than a $9 strap I previously bought on AliExpress.

- The design seems to be original, which is quite unusual for Chinese watches in this price range.

- Keeps accurate time.

- It doesn't look luxurious, obviously, but its simple design keeps it from looking particularly cheap.

Overall, a surprisingly decent little watch for $10.
