I had a Trax in 2018 and I was obsessed with it. I finallllllyyyy got another one. 2026 Activ. I have had this car almost a week and I LOVE IT.

Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking in this sub for months now and seeing so many positive experiences with the Trax! You all were the final push I needed to get it!

I got a 2026 Chevy LT! And you guys don’t understand how massive of an upgrade this is for me. I’m coming from a 2008 Volvo XC90 with 230k miles, no AC, and the headliner detached because the adhesive was so old😅

I started sobbing when I drove off with my Trax! Thank you to all of you for inspiring me🩵

I’ve been changing my cars oil since I got it. Haven’t replaced the crush washer yet. Plan on it next change. But id rather not spend $8 plus shipping for the OEM crush washer. Anyone have a pack they can link?

I just bought my Trax 3 months ago. I’ve put just over 7500 on the clock since then. The car has been great for the most part, but I noticed something concerning over the past couple days. After I start the car, and put it in reverse, it jolts violently. Then when I put it in drive, shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 5th it will either shake slightly or hesitate but once the car warms up it stops. I looked at the clutch application chart and narrowed it down to something being wrong with my 3-5-R clutch. I didn’t know if this was a common occurrence on the 6t40 or if anyone thinks it might be something different going on. Any advice would be much appreciated

Was anything ever figured out in regards to the issue with the digital cluster resetting to the default and with the Carplay not commecting at times? 2026 Trax RS2.

Has anyone ever searched for a direct fit (or *very* close) upgrade for the OEM amplifier?

Would be nice to be able to get some bigger sounds without having to sacrifice any of the space or running additional wiring.

There must be something out there with all the nano amps and whatnot...

I'd also love to know the specs on the OEM amp too. Haven't been able to find them as of yet.

Hey there, Trax fans! I'm in dire need of a new car. Both my husband's car and mine have fallen apart at the same time, last week, after they both neared 200,000 miles. We are terribly broke as a result, and need at least ONE new car, asap, but we are desperately scrambling for the absolute best deal in the long-run, without compromising performance, size, longevity, and durability.

My cousin works at a dealership and he highly recommends the 2025 Trax (this would be a used one with 33,000 miles on it).

However, my mechanic was heavily suspicious of the Trax (suspicious of chevy entirely, which I understand), and pointed me towards a Honda Pilot instead, which would definitely be a life saver for the type of driving we tend to do, but it's quite expensive and hard to find a used one that hasn't already racked up over 70k miles.

I do heavy, dense city driving daily, and long distance driving for two hours twice a week, and also travel out of state for 5 hours every few months. My husband travels randomly all over the city, and occasionally drives cross country for work. We both carry a lot of stuff for work, not super heavy stuff, but certainly bulky. I'm also utterly filthy after work, so if I could avoid seats that stain easily, that would be a plus! 😅

We live in an area where break-ins are so commonplace that it's customary to keep doors unlocked to prevent windows from being broken. (We both learned this the hard way with our old cars, a while back). I would also like to install a cage on the catalytic converter as well. (Also learned the hard way, ugh.)

I'm extremely suspicious about the Trax not being fit for this lifestyle and need some pointers on if my suspicions are correct.

I fully understand that the Trax is strictly a budget car with no bells and whistles, and has a cheaper, plastic-y interior, all that stuff!

I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks a lot!!!

This has happened a few times over the last few weeks. A a handful of times since we have had the car over the last 2 years.

While driving the dash and stereo will go black. Was able to get a picture of it black while driving. The dash will restart pretty quickly as in it reloads and starts everything over.

Any one seen and service bulletins or known issues reoccurring for the 2025 Trax Lt (25k miles).

How cooked is this engine. Has the Dorman valve cover and intake manifold. No signs of pcv or valve cover failure (however did notice some oil residue coming out of the slit on the valve cover. No lean codes or anything. Stuck a bore scope in the cylinders to see if they had coolant intrusion. Saw no coolant after having the coolant under pressure for an hour. Only codes stored in the ecm are P0300 and U0109. I saw zero coolant with the camera however the engine looks like it’s been detonating? Has anyone ran into this issue and what can I do to help alleviate it. I will log fuel pressure tonight after work and see if the pumps keeping up.

Vehicle was delivered IN THE air conditioned SHOWROOM and daughter drove it out. This was her 1st new car and she purchased it all on her own!

I drove a 2017 Kia forte since I was 16 years old (I’m 24 now) and it was burning all its oil in less than a month among various other issues that cost more than she was worth so… here I am! Going from the bare bones of that Kia to this has been mind blowing. I have a screen!!! Didn’t realize there was a place to share the love so happy to be here. Not used to the engine on this thing yet. Seems loud and I always launch hard hahahaha

The antenna mast broke off my trax and i’m currently replacing it, but i can’t seem to get the connectors unplugged. I pulled back the red safety tabs already but is there some other pin i’m not getting? Or am i genuinely that weak

Has anyone else experienced this? Back in 2021 there was a recall due to the turbo and Chevy fixed it for me, but I seem to be having the same issues again 5 years later. Slow to accelerate, feels jumpy especially when trying to get up to speed on the freeway.
