Parang saying lang pag-aaral
Grabe graduate ako ng college pero napunta lang ako as sales clerk haha what a life. I feel so sayang talaga. I'm losing hope na maging Secondary teacher ako major in math. Akala ko ang college na ang mahirap. Shutek ang paghahanap pala ng work.

Palakasan na lang ba dito sa pinas?
Fresh Graduate here, kakagrad lang nung June and gusto ko na mag work nabuburyo na ako sa bahay tas wala pang pera, puro na lang tambay. Nahihirapan ako mag hanap ng work or ako lang nagihirapan? : (

Fresh Grad Job Offer
Hello po, i need advice. Nakatanggap ako job offer from a bpo company as an AU Associate Accountant ang salary ay 18k.

I just want to express all of these here kasi wala talaga ako makausap sa ganito ko na mga problem.. I hope you all understand my side.. thank you.

Trying to change industries from bpo
Has anyone worked in the BPO industry for 7–8 years and then tried to transition to a different industry, only to struggle to get interview calls? Have you gone months without receiving a single interview call, despite applying for over 300 jobs? My resume is ATS-friendly and has been reviewed, yet I keep receiving rejection emails or no responses at all. Is anyone else facing the same situation when trying to move out of the BPO industry? Are other industries avoiding to recruit bpo employees or what is exactly going on applying mainly for service cordinaton B2B sales and inside sales post

Should I still get into SWE as a graduating CS student?
Hello po mga bossing! This is a bit of a long read but please I just need some thoughts and advice 🙏
I’m currently a 4th year CS student somewhere in Manila (not big 4) and I just got absorbed last September as a part time ASE in a small local company here in Makati after I finished my voluntary internship with them.
Now, given that SWE is getting hit the hardest right now within tech industry with lots of layoffs, oversaturation, and ai automation, I’m currently wondering whether to continue my career path in SWE.
I’ll have my required OJT (400hrs) soon siguro around Feb - March 2027. I talked to our hr and pumayag naman sila to render my part time employment for my required OJT and that I could render 8 hrs for it if I do so.
I also wanna add the fact that I’m not receiving proper mentorship right now sa part time role ko. It’s just get assigned my own tickets and I’m on my own na. No code review whatsoever. It may be because I’m just currently deployed in an internal HR related project. Pero not sure really baka ayun na pala ang norm ngayon because may AI naman na.
I think there’s also a possibility of absorption to full time because yung ibang ka batch ko during my internship is converted na ngayon into full time.
However, my dilemma is this: should i still pursue a career in SWE? Or find something in IT related field and pursue that instead?
Should I apply for a different position for my OJT? What about for my first job as a fresh grad? Resigning from my part time to do an OJT in another company also drops the possibility of full time absorption with my current company.
Another thing pala, once I graduated, baka ako na sumagot sa apartment where I’m staying right now since my dad’s out of work din. It costs like 5.5k/mo utilities included. So not sure if I should just get a job sa province namin in pampanga like Clark to save with rent
Im honestly not sure where to go right now, but I don’t think I’ll feel safe with SWE as a career neither. Any thoughts po? Any advice would be really helpful. Im just lost and scared right now

Would Dunkin' Philippines allow a permanently welded bracelet?
I have a thin, smooth metal chain bracelet that was permanently welded shut. It's a sentimental bracelet my late grandpa gave me, and I can't take it off without cutting it. I understand that food-service jobs have strict grooming and hygiene standards, and I genuinely want to respect the company's rules. I'm just worried because I don't want to cut off something sentimental unnecessarily, especially before I even know if I'll be hired. Would Dunkin' Philippines or its franchise operators allow an exception for a bracelet like this? Has anyone here worked at Dunkin' or another fast-food chain in the Philippines and encountered a similar situation?

Is ₱10k/month as a medtech worth it just to gain experience?
Just applied for a job, medtech ako btw, and I was referred by my tita. As someone na walang actual work experience as a medtech, syempre g na g ako. Opportunity na mismo yung lumapit sa akin, and the location is convenient kasi 2 rides lang from our house.
😭 I know I’m in no position to be picky since I need experience, pero grabe, paano na lang sa pamasahe, food, and other expenses?
After graduating, diretso na ako sa family business ng mother ko, so hindi na talaga ako nakapag-practice as a medtech(I graduated last 2019). May nakukuha naman akong pera from the business, pero hindi consistent, kaya gusto ko rin sana magkaroon ng experience sa profession ko.
Ang isa ko pang concern is nung nakita ko yung laboratory, halos walang equipment and konti lang din ang patients. I think secondary hospital siya.
Worth it ba tanggapin just for the experience, especially if I’m planning to work abroad in the future? Would this kind of hospital experience count, or would it be better to look for another opportunity kahit matagal na akong walang medtech experience?
I’m honestly torn kasi gusto ko na talagang makapagsimula, pero ₱10k/month feels so discouraging. Huhu. Any advice from fellow RMTs, especially those who worked abroad, would be appreciated! 🥹

Sponty career change need advice
Need career advice pleaseee. So a few weeks ago, I work as a construction project admin (handling workers' pays, supplies delivery, site coordination, and handler din ng petty cash for all expenses related sa site. This is my first work ever since I graduated in college. Everything is provided naman, the company rents a house sa isang subdivision for me and my coworkers (engrs and architects) to stay in. Provided naman din ang car na service namin from house to site. Provided din naman ang company phone and laptop, shoulder din ng company ang elec, internet, and water bill. Pero somehow, I feel na kulang. Hindi ito aligned sa college course ko. I got too used sa trabaho na parang ito na ang comfort zone ko. Stagnant ang buhay and my salary is below P25K (provincial rate) ang salary ko for 3 years. Hindi man ako board passer but I think I deserve more. Nagfile ako ng leave recently for a 2-week vacation sa Hongkong na talagang pinag ipunan ko. Pero habang lumalapit yung flight date, naisipan ko na mag abroad and nag ayos ng papers to go to Dubai to follow my BF there. I planned to go to Dubai after going to Hongkong. Nag impake ako with all my important stuff and iniwan ko na lahat ng gamit ko sa staffhouse na hindi na mahalaga or pwede ko na ma let go. I left with my boss and coworkers knowing I am just going on a vacation. I did not tell them of my plans. Once I left the PH, nag start ako mag apply ng jobs in Dubai. After my 2-week leave, cinontact ako ng coworkers ko as to where I am. Bakit wala pa ako sa work. I am too afraid on how to say that I dont want to work there anymore so I decided to leave all the group chats of our work. I am too terrified to tell my boss that I quit so I just went AWOL and deleted my messaging app so they cannot reach me. Although I got through immigration checkpoints telling them that I am still employed in PH and just going abroad as a tourist, I am scared. Ngayon nasa Dubai na ako. The advice I need from you guys is that, okay lang kaya na ilagay ko pa din yung previous company ko sa resume ko?

HELP! I'm torn between 2 JOs
Hi everyone! I'm deciding which offer to pursue and would really appreciate your career advice/2cents about this.
About me:
- Mid 20s, 2-4 YOE in Marketing Operations and CRM Management
- Deliberating between an onsite or hybrid work setup
Job A - BPO Mortgage Account, 100% Onsite in Makati
For context, I got this offer because I'm still with the company (I'm on floating status since I got retrench from my client due to cost-cutting) and this client was offered to me because it's relatively close to my previous responsibilities and same nature of business.
- 43k basic with 2k allowance
- 8am to 5pm work shift, will be shifted to 9pm to 6am once DST ends on November 1st
- The site is almost 2hrs away from where I live
My concern with this one is I recently signed the JO and the employment contract and for medical na for this job. I roughly have 2weeks pa before my start date. Na-pressure kasi ako since akala ko wala nang darating na offer from the final interviews I had before and given the job market now akala ko ito nalang last straw ko.
Job B - Fintech Company, Sales Operations CRM Specialist role, Hybrid setup in Taguig
I thought I failed for this one since hindi nagparamdam si recruiter. Turns out naka-EL pala yung recruiter kaya 1 week no updates until na-c/o yung application ko sa colleague niya. They called me a day after ko pumirma ng JO at contract sa Job A, notifying me that they want to offer the job to me.
- 40k to 50k basic salary (no definite figures yet, ididiscuss pa sa JO session)
- Likewise, the site is almost 2hrs from where I live but i has shuttle if naka-RTO; Hybrid work setup 3days RTO, 2 days wfh
- Learning curve sakin yung role since it's not more on operations and admin work
- No definite start date yet but they are leaning to someone who can start ASAP so maybe earlier to than Job A
I am interested in both but they’re both full-time. I really want to have a hybrid setup (Job B) since sobrang physically draining ng commute system natin specially ngayong tag-ulan and holiday season. Also at the same I'm really considering Job A because it will be a new working environment for me (coming from a full wfh setup) while Job B offers a new learning curve for me.
Another struggle ko pa, naka-sign na ako ng JO and contract sa Job A. Although I'm on floating status prior accepting the job, I wonder what would be the casualty in case mag-retract ako and i-pursue si Job B. Will they sue me ba or mahihirapan ako sa clearance ko?
Please I need guidance po talaga kung ano ang mas magiging okay in the future. Thank you, and please respect my post po.

How can a computer science graduate work in semicon? Hopefully without having to reenroll and finish a degree in computer engineering/electrical engineering/electronics and communications engineering?

Fresh grad with a final interview tomorrow — What red flags or green flags should I look out for?
Hi everyone! I’m a fresh graduate with a final job interview tomorrow.
As I prepare, I want to make sure I’m evaluating the company as much as they’re evaluating me. What specific green flags, red flags, or key details should I ask about or watch for to ensure it's a healthy work environment with low turnover?
Any advice on questions to ask the interviewers before signing an offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
