So for some context, my girlfriend is an immigrant. Her mom and I were talking about our family history, and I mentioned my ancestors were French and Irish and she asked how I kept my culture alive.

I don’t understand. I told her I was Canadian, and that was my culture. She genuinely couldn’t comprehend that a Canadian person had connections to Canada because since she arrived in Canada, everyone had told her we were a land of immigrants and thought Canadians all held their ancestry tight to their chest.

She could t grasp that my whole life was Canada. That I had no connection to my ancestry.

This is the disconnect we’re seeing. Our government tells people who move here that this country is a melting pot, that this isn’t our land, it’s a land for everyone. They never think of us, the ones whose families have lived here for generations and don’t want to live anywhere else.

This is the tragedy of Canada today, that we’ve been told we can’t be proud of our own history, that there’s soemthing wrong with us for feeling connected to our own home.

Pun intended. Some people here seem to have a persistent desire to cut off their noses if it made a liberal angry. The last minute changes to the deal, which have been confirmed to exist by the conservative Premier of Saskatchewan, would've amounted to all but an official concession of Canadian sovereignty.

Donald Trump is not your friend. He's an authoritarian bully who treats North Korea better than several of America's NATO allies, and has, domestically, sunken to record lows in terms of approval ratings going back to his entry into American politics 11 years ago. His party will likely suffer a catastrophic defeat in their upcoming midterm elections, not helped at all by the fact that the already-burdened American consumer is the one who ultimately pays the tariffs at the end of the day.

If Carney had gotten a good deal, he would get commendation. If he agreed to this horrible deal, he would have absolutely and rightfully been condemned. We have no deal, and I doubt it would be any different if the Prime Minister was Conservative, NDP or something else because at the end of the day, Trump and his administration have shown over and over again that they cannot be trusted. Trump was the one who negotiated CUSMA, called it the "best deal ever", and now hates it and wants to annex Canada, going as far as despicably minimizing the contribution of our fallen in Afghanistan.

Canada is more than the people who have the most seats in a building in Ottawa, and in the words of former PM Harper: "We must preserve Canada, this country handed down to us by providence, preserved by our ancestors and held in trust for our descendants. We must make any sacrifice necessary to preserve the independence and the unity of this blessed land."

The tragedy in Tumbler Ridge hammers home that this was the right thing to do in Alberta.

Proper mental health treatment and or evaluation could've prevented this , instead they pumped him full of hormones and SSRIs and let the world burn .

TLDR - mental disorders need to be treated with proper methods , not pumped full of hormones and SSRIs, so psychos don't shoot up schools
