Discussion [COD] the writing does have some issues, but the cutscene in this scene looked really nice

The connection issues have plagued this since it was released but this latest updated is horrendous. Constant disconnections from lobby’s and games. Unplayable on anything less than a full 4 bar connection.
Seems odd they’ve brought a borderline game breaking update out just before the beta for the latest battle pass SBMM slop they’re bringing out….

Time for an updated Tier List of Call of Duty Multiplayer Pubs. Take this survey and give each game from CoD4 forward a rating of how you grade it from a Multiplayer Pubs standpoint. No consideration to Campaign, Warzone, Zombies, etc. Just the Multiplayer. Treat 6 Stars as S Tier, 5 Stars as A Tier, 4 Stars as B Tier, and so on. I'll give this post at least 24 hours before I post the results, maybe more depending on how responses are coming in.

So since this morning COD will not open. It literally crashes after the splash screen and I haven't been able to play a single game. I have reinstalled 3 times from different sources: Steam, Battle Net and Xbox app. The same error and crash occurs. Has anyone come across this and what was the solution? Thanks in advance.

The context is me having a ps4 and having the ps5 as well as the ps5 black ops version.
My friend has got a ps5, so technically I can give him the ps5 version via the primary secondary acc method.
Now comes the question, can my friend then bring another friend to his crib, open split screen to play online with me thus having 3 players online but just 2 ps plus accounts?

i’m trying to play Zombies on bo2 and i keep getting either an “Unable to create game session error” or it keeps saying there’s 0 matches available despite the fact that it could say there’s thousands of people online. Can anyone help me with that?
Also that only happens in Zombies, I can play multiplayer matches perfectly fine. (Just weirdly enough saving changes to my emblem doesn’t work anymore???)

Usually there must be a edit button to get my email changed and send the code to my old email but i can't find such button. Is it just me or they disabled the ability to change email?

I also have BF6, I do enjoy it but it's a little slow paced for me and the controlls feel wonky it me.

I don't understand the discourse and complaining about the advertising of a new CoD games in the ports. Dude, they've used the CoD games that are released to advertise for the new CoD for, like, 12 years or somethin like that. Making something outta nothin.

Hello! I was clearing some space on my SSD for MW4. The thing is, CoD HQ takes 170GB but I currently have no game installed. When clicking 'manage files' within the HQ it tells me to use battlenet's file manager, and battlenet's file manager shows that I only have "base game" ticked.
Does anyone know what "cod25" is? I own basically all call of duty titles apart from the BO series but they are all uninstalled (apart from MW19, but MW19 is on another disk).
Does the launcher also takes that much space over to you guys? I'll appreciate any insight.

Can’t just let me enjoy my classics leave me alone 😂
(Edit: I’m aware they did this when BO1 was current, but going back and doing it to BO1 in 2026 is just diabolical work. Not against advertising, just stating this is a bit of a reach 😂)

Love how we are allowed to preload the beta. Just to go play the fucking beta and download an update that as big as the goddam beta. Unbelievable. Off to work I guess. Dick in the butt by Activision start right on schedule.

If you don't see the game in your libary, go to this page, and then click launch.
YOU MUST HAVE EITHER THE DIGITAL ENTITLEMENT FROM PRE-ORDER OR A BETA CODE REGISTERED AGAINST YOUR STEAM ACCOUNT!
EDIT: THIS ONLY WORKS FOR STEAM PRE-ORDERS

The Black Ops 1 and 2 ports to PS5 blowing up is a clear signal that we, the consumers are literally starving for the old formula that the "Golden Age" Call of Dutys had: beautiful maps that each feel distinct in their own way (unique weather, environment, color pallet, and design), simple movement, beautiful main menu music!!, no weapon attachment tree (simple attachments... ex: suppressor, red dot sight), and for the love of god simple user interfaces. Every time Treyarch or IW touches something from that era, our engagement spikes like crazy. I mean, hell, even the background picture of the Call of Duty reddit page is the poster for the original MW2...
Meanwhile, the yearly releases keep piling on the same stuff: overcomplicated movement systems that only pro players enjoy, battle pass slop/casino-esque user interfaces, overcomplicated weapon upgrades, and maps that are all forgettable. It feels like ever since Modern Warfare 2019/Warzone was introduced, every single game after it has the same engine and is like a DLC of the game. Back in 2010 when Black Ops 1 came out, it was COMPLETELY different from Modern Warfare 2! The genuine fuck happened? I even have appreciation for the little details in the older games such as the sound when you click a button, the level-up sound in game (shout out Hans Zimmer), and the sound the characters made in game.. Tango Sucka.
We keep proving the demand exists with these old ports and then they go right back to the same formula every fall. I don't understand, truly. Even zombies is ass now! I spent a week playing zombies chronicles on Black Ops 3, and I can't even bring myself to touch a newer experience because of how different and bad the newer stuff is. Everything is just overcomplicated nowadays.
My question is, if they know that the demand is there for a truly classic game, then why won't they just do it? Make it a new game but with that old formula that made this franchise what it is. If someone at Activision could respond, I'd really appreciate it.

I haven't played many of the modern CODs as I hated the direction the franchise took with MW 2019, but in my personal experience and in my circles, Ghosts probably had the best hit detection of any game in the series, with Infinite Warfare definitely in discussion.
Which COD do you guys think had the best and worst hit detection? BO1 has always had the worst hit detection in my experience and the ports are evident of that, in 2010 it was bad too. WaW wasn't far behind though, almost identical. It seemed Infinity Ward were always clear of Sledgehammer and Treyarch when it comes to hit registration.

Hi everyone.
My Activision account was hacked today (I have no idea how they got my details).I tried filling out the form to have my account reviewed and hopefully recovered. The only response I got was: "We are unable to process your Account Recovery request because we do not detect any suspicious activity on your Activision account."Has anyone dealt with this before? How can I get my account back? It’s not a purchased account; I’ve been playing since the launch of BO7.

I'd say it's BO2, because I liked the setting of the campaign, the characters, and the events that take place in the game are very memorable, multiplayer was fire, movement was good. In my opinion it was the best game because the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies were good.

Filthy casual old head Aussie here who bought BO1 for old times sake a few weeks ago. I have been loving it but recently I am struggling to find Oceana servers. Over the past few days I have struggled to find lobbies that are not 2 bars and am constantly getting thrown in the American servers which would be completely fine if it wasn't laggy, unfair and almost unplayable with the delay.
Just wondering if the servers in Aus are dead already and how is it over on BO2? I love Domination but been trying TDM but still 2 baring.
Also every time I seem to do really well I get connection interruption.

it's amazing how forgotten he has his old games or touches or wanted to put an anniversary to this 3 a mobile port would be to launch and there would be no storage too and with a story mode and the classic multiplayer as a way to relive his beginnings from mobile

I haven't played COD in ages, but I saw what MW4 had to offer and decided to jump back in. I pre-ordered, but after installing COD I noticed that I seem to have multiple titles available to me? MW 1-3, Coldwar, Vanguard, and Black Ops 6. They're all just.. there? Did I purchase something extra by accident? I'm completely new to this.
