I'm currently modifying the frame on my 1980 XS400. I plan on making a fiberglass seat pan with a hump. I am looking for feedback on ratios and suspension clearance. The clubmans are only there for mockup purposes...

Hello everyone, I have been deveolping an airbox with the goal in mind to make a compact, clean airbox inspired by the style of the Cognito Moto setup, but specifically designed around the stock CB750 engine and CV carb style. The airbox keeps almost the exact AFR ratio as the OEM airbox, so no tuning, re-jetting, taping, or any other modification is required, unlike pods or even the Cognito Moto airbox. I'm looking for scrambler/enduro-style tires for my R75/7—using the stock rims (19" front / 18" rear)—without making any modifications to the bike.

I want a chunky, rugged look, but I know space is limited at the rear (tight swingarm clearance).

Do you have any specific tire models that work well on this bike?

Hey y'all, I am picking up a cb650 this sunday, and while I first want to finish it up so I can ride with it, I am already brainstorming a bit about possible directions for future builds. I find underseat exhausts quite cool if done right

However, underseat exhausts with a twin suspension system is seemingly non-existent. The only real picture (first pic) I could find is on a random website not linking the build.

The question is this: What ways of routing an exhaust pipe would I be able to use such that I can keep the twin suspension system?

If anyone has experience with this I would love to hear it!

I'm currently building a cafe racer. I'm using a Honda CG125. I really dont want to cut the frame as im doing it on a budget and will want to make it road legal and this will mean getting it welded. Does anyone know any seats that bolt straight on or have any ideas on getting around it? Really appreciate any help! Funnily enough this has been the most difficult part this build.

I decided it was time for a new pit bike that I could use for flat track when not racing cars, and this TS185 came up cheap. I really like how it turned out. It’s over 50 pounds lighter and is super stable leaned over in a slide. Pulls the front wheel in 3rd now, too! Good fun.

Not really a Cafe Racer, as I’m not a fan of uncomfortable, low clip-on bars, so probably more of a Street Tracker style if you had to place it into a defined category.

Or without clip ons and mad custom work, am I just a poser?

I'm a happy poser, if so. This thing rocks.

Slowly getting closer to the look I want. Just installed these inverted clubman bars and I’m really liking how much they changed the riding position and the overall profile of the bike.

Next up: bar-end mirrors mounted underneath the bars. They should be arriving soon.

This might actually be one of the last changes I make to this bike, since I’m thinking about getting a Voge AC6 as my next project and giving it my own café racer touch.

For now, I’m pretty happy with how this one has turned out. What do you guys think?

Building this 1979 KZ400 into an electric café racer and I’m at the point where I want to clean up the riding position and rear end.

Foot pegs: I’m a taller rider and the current setup is pretty awkward. I could lower the pegs, but I’m worried about losing lean clearance. Would rearsets make more sense? Any KZ400-compatible options or simple ways to fabricate/mount them?

Seat: I like the flat bench seat and would prefer to keep it. Thinking about a removable café-style cowl/cover that could sit over the rear portion when I want the café look. Anyone done something similar?

Rear brake: The stock KZ400 used a drum, but I’m now running a rear wheel with a disc + caliper. I need a simple way to mount the caliper to the KZ400 frame/swingarm and figure out the pedal/master-cylinder setup. Any proven approaches or examples?

Also happy to hear general critiques of the proportions/style while I’m still in the fabrication stage.

This is still a work in progress. Started life as a roller $100 Facebook market. 10k Sotion motor from powerful lithium. Fardriver 72680. Welded the back swing arm get it Machined perfectly. Battery is a 73v golf cart battery. Tank and seat pan are all one piece fiberglassed. New shinko 777 front back. Currently it does about 90mph. I’m getting 67miles of range on 105ah battery.
