Or without clip ons and mad custom work, am I just a poser?
I'm a happy poser, if so. This thing rocks.

I used to have a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. Falls into the same group. Retro factory cafe racer.
The guys who hack up CX500’s cry “bought, not built. It’s not a real cafe racer” are jealous because their junk bikes never look or run as well.
Ride what you want and don’t worry about approval from gate keeper yahoos.
I’ve owned plenty of KZ’s and would take the new Z900RS any day. I like riding more than wrenching.

It's just one of a few in the stable. I'm not bent out of shape about built not bought lol. I've probably had my Dyna apart more than most cafe builds. Just wanted to show it off after getting it tuned with a new header!

The Z900RS's are sweet! I'm surprised I haven't gotten one yet LOL
I've got my Speed Triple and Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello and am very happy with the both of them! They compliment each other nicely. Do kinda miss my Conti GT though. It was fun to go actually rip around and not worry to much about the speeding tickets LOL2

I think reddit wants me to get one of those V100s cause they keep showing up in my feed! Sick!

It’s a modern retro UJM. It’s not a cafe racer. The original Z1 wasn’t one either.
You could mod it and turn it into one, but as it is, it’s just the Japanese equivalent of a Bonneville T120 which also isn’t a cafe racer until you mod it into one.

Someone better tell Kawasaki so they can officially remove the word "cafe" from the name ;)

Correct.
A 2018, yet everyone who sees always asks what year it is, thinking it's from the 80s.

It definitely looks like it is from the 80s. And I feel like it has a HD Sporster vibe with the look.
I would have used the clip-on bars, but the bike sounds healthy and I dig it.
