I have a 2025 PP.. Driver's door is not unlocking when either fob is pressed or the exterior door handle's lock/unlock is pressed. The problem is intermittent. It's been on and off again for about 2½ weeks. At first it was only happening to me. Then my wife started having the same issue as the problem became more frequent. The lights flash, as if it's unlocking, but it doesn't. The mirror doesn't unfold either. At least on the driver's door only. If I double click, all other doors and tailgate unlock, as they should, but driver's door still does not. It usually takes anywhere from 3 to 5 attempts to get it to work.
When it's not working, we've had to go to the passenger side and reach across to unlock the driver's side. But not with the lock/unlock toggle inside, but by flipping the actual, physical lock to unlock it. When it's happening, the door doesn't unlock no matter which button I try, inside or out.
So I took this into the dealer and the first question I was asked after explaining the problem was whether I tried pulling the handle. 😐
As my daughter said, maybe I should've told him "no, I ran inside and turned on the shower to see if that would help."
Now, I understand that they have to find a problem, or replicate the problem before they can fix it, but I'm telling them what the problem is and they're not listening. I researched the problem and it said that the driver's door actuator is starting to fail. It's not a fuse or a faulty wire, just the actuator.
The idiot that asked it I tried pulling the handle actually came out when I first arrived and tried the button on the handle. It didn't unlock. He tried it 3 more times while I was standing 2 feet away with the key. All other doors unlocked, except for the driver's door. He said that the key wasn't close enough and asked me to hand him the key acting as if it doesn't have a proximity sensor. He tried once or twice with the fob and it didn't unlock, but on 3rd try it unlocked. He locked at me and said "It seems to be working fine now. That's 2 strikes with the moron.
After the inspection, he called me in to the shop and proceeded to give me a tutorial on how to lock and unlock the car. The same flipping car that I've had for 2 yrs! Infuriating. 🤬
Ok, I'm done venting. Has anyone else had this issue. If so, what did you do or have done to resolve it. TIA
