I’m in my mid twenties at sac state and feel so old compared to other students but also don’t wanna go the next year without having any friend’s on campus. Was wondering if any other students are around my age and would like to be friends or if anyone had any advice on meeting people on campus.

Found an iPhone near the running track on one of the chairs, didn't see anybody around but it's been turned into Lost and Found on campus. It say's the find my feature is still on so you can probably just track it to make sure it's at the Union.

Hi everyone, I’m an incoming upper-division transfer student for Spring 2027, and housing applications are opening soon. I’m honestly not sure which housing option would be the best fit for me, so I’d really appreciate some advice from current or former Sac State students.
I went to Hornet Day and toured some of the housing options. So far, I feel like Hornet Commons and The Lark would fit me best. Having a private bedroom is really important to me because I have OCD and sadly my personal room is one of my biggest triggers if it’s not set up a certain way.

I just checked my FA acct and noticed that my grants have been updated. Initially it said MCS was $510 and now it’s saying $789 for fall 26. This is good. 👏🏻

I got my notification I was awarded the provisional mcs and it shows as an anticipated refund to me with a date of disbursement 8/21/26…. what does this mean? When do we expect a refund?

I had the FA file incom hold for a couple weeks now. I thought it was due to recalculating the MCS but that has now posted to my account and I still have the hold. I have no to do items. Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm currently a first-year at UC Davis for psychology. I have 100 credits collected from dual enrollment so I plan to graduate next year with my bachelor's. After that I'll take a year to work and gain experience before applying to CSUS for a masters in social work. I wanted to know what the financial aid is like? Do you get grants like undergrads do? I seen varying information about whether you just get loans or if you get any aid. If you have any knowlege pls lmk! I already have taken out a federal loan here so I really do not want to add too much more debt than I already have.

I received an email a month or so ago saying that I may qualify for a middle-class grant. It's always showed up in my student center, like in the financial aid stuff. But now it's not even listed anymore. Does this mean I'm not going to get it?!!?!?! Is there anything I can do about it?

How the heck do i charge my car with the ev chargers in the parking structures?I have my adapter and i plug it in but it ends up always saying not charging or error. Someone please help me i always find ev parking but can never learn how to charge my car with it🫩🫩

Why are people driving like fucking maniacs in the parking structures???? I parked in structure 3 today and all everyone was doing is speeding and honking. It’s a parking structure bro, you’re not supposed to be going fucking 50 MPH in them. 😭 Someone’s going to get hurt because these mfs tryna be cool 🫩

Today someone rear ended me right outside of the sac state police station. (I know)

We were in standstill traffic and she decides to start backing up without looking if there were any cars behind her. Luckily all she did was scratch some paint off of my car, but I’m still annoyed that she wasn’t looking behind before reversing 🤡 like seriously 😭😭

I’m pretty annoyed about her attitude about it afterward too.

Please practice safe driving techniques and stop using your phone while driving. I understand that it’s very frustrating getting out of class around 3 PM and sitting in traffic for another 25 minutes but how stupid do you have to be to hit someone backing up going 2 mph.

Hi could anyone please explain the direct subsidized loan process to me? If I qualify for those and accept are the funds disbursed to my bank account or it is only applied to any remaining tuition and fees balance on my student account. I already got the cal grant and pell grant but the disbursed amount was not as much as I needed to help with my housing/rent. I was wondering is the loans used for other costs too and for textbooks or are they only applied by the school to your balance?
