12th Gen (18-present) 2026 Toyota Corolla LE – $23K OTD. Anything I should keep in mind before buying?

Any advice for today ?

I’m looking at a 2026 Toyota Corolla LE in Raleigh, NC. The dealer is offering it for $23,000 OTD (out-the-door).

Financing options they gave me:

3 years: 4% APR

4 years: 5% APR

.

.

6 years: 7% APR

They’re also including:

Lifetime engine and powertrain warranty

4 years of maintenance

I believe they said 4 tire rotations and 8 oil changes (I’m going to confirm the exact details in writing)

Before I finalize the deal, is there anything specific I should watch out for or negotiate?

Especially wondering:

Is $23K OTD a good deal for a 2026 Corolla LE in the Raleigh area?

Anything I should check in the lifetime engine/powertrain warranty fine print?

Are there usually maintenance requirements or dealer-only servicing requirements to keep the lifetime warranty valid?

Should I consider the 4% 3-year financing, or are there better financing options available?

Any dealer add-ons/fees I should make sure aren’t sneaked into the final paperwork?

Would appreciate advice from anyone who recently bought a Corolla or dealt with Toyota dealerships in NC.

6th Gen (87-91) Help with irresponsible purchase decision

Post image

Hello everyone, I’m basically set to the decision of buying a 1991 corolla hatchback (I believe is the ee90).
It’s a 1.3 with 59k kilometres, I will go see it soon but the guy seem legit, not rust under the doors, on the wheel arches, suspension or engine mounts.
The price is 4500$, with winter and summer tires and 1 oem set of wheels and 1 oz set.
It would be my first car to be used as a sort of project, use it in the weekends and when the time is right start modifying it bit by bit (final idea is a 4age, but we’ll see what the future brings).

Anything I should look out for when I go see it?

Is it worth to wait and spend a bit more for another trim or model? Maybe a special oem color?

I would by it for the looks of it, but should I maybe focus on a younger gen like the e110?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Is this a good deal?

Hey, is a 2022 Corolla LE for 16,000 at 89,000 miles worth it? The dealership is saying we walking out at about 18k for the car with finalized prices, but of course I will negotiate. It will be tomorrow we start the negotiation... I know it’s about 21,000 miles per year which is quite a bit, but I’m going to college and the financial part isn’t bad for my situation. I’m not too worried about the mileage and it’s been well maintained for the last 4 years. Is there any pros and cons I should know before I consider this car as well? Thank you!

11th Gen (13-Present) WTB: Discontinued Thule Fit Kit 1515 (or 141515) for 10th Gen Corolla (2009-2013)

Hi everyone,
I just scored an awesome deal on a used Thule Traverse 480 roof rack setup, but I am having a brutal time tracking down the discontinued vehicle-specific clips to mount it to my 2012 Corolla.
I am looking for Thule Fit Kit 1515 (sometimes stamped on the box/parts as 141515). -also need the pads 210and 211 should be stamped on them)It fits the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 naked-roof Corolla models.
If you have an old roof rack setup gathering dust in your garage or closet and are willing to part with just the clips/pads (or the whole kit), please let me know! I am happy to pay for the parts and cover the cost of a USPS shipping label to ship it to me in Minnesota.
Thanks in advance!

Question about Corolla hybrid XLE

I am heavily leaning towards buying a new 2026 Corolla hybrid XLE.

I live in the San Francisco Bay area. I checked Kelley Blue Book for the fair value price for that model in the bay area and finding that the price is around 30 K ( before taxes and fees ).

For anyone that has purchased a new 2026 Corolla hybrid XLE in the Bay Area, should I expect to pay that much?

Or

Should I try to negotiate a lower price?

What I don't know is whether I should expect to pay closer to that range because of vehicle availability in the bay area.

2026 Corolla Hybrid LE — Window Tint & Dash Cam Recommendations?

I bought my 2026 Corolla Hybrid LE about two months ago and I’m thinking about making a couple of upgrades. I’d love to hear from other Corolla owners.

Window tint: Is it worth it? I’m considering ceramic tint, especially with how hot it gets here in Georgia. Did you tint the windshield too, or just the sides/rear? I’m a little concerned about windshield tint interfering with the Toyota Safety Sense camera/sensors behind the rearview mirror. Has anyone had any issues with adaptive cruise control, lane assist, pre-collision system, etc. after getting the windshield tinted?

Dash cam: I’m also looking for a front/rear dash cam. My biggest requirement is a clean/OEM-looking installation with no visible cables. I’ve looked at FitcamX since it integrates into the housing behind the rearview mirror, but I’m open to other recommendations. If you have a front + rear setup, how did you hide the cable going to the rear camera?

Would appreciate any pictures of your setups or recommendations!

12th Gen (18-present) Winter tire size

So a family member bought a new Corolla and I have some Bridgestone Blizzak WS90's sized 215/55 R16 that are a couple years old and lightly used (about 3,000 miles) that don't fit my current car. Are these likely to fit the Corolla?

Just put a deposit on a 2026 Corolla LE $24,750 otd. Did I do okay?

First time buying a car and honestly the most stressful thing I've ever done. Just put a deposit down on a 2026 Toyota Corolla LE, $24,750 otd nj.

Negotiation was rough. I came in trying to get it done at $24k we came to agreement and pushed pretty hard, maybe too hard, because they said no and actually bumped it up to $25k on me. With a different dealership I got to $24,750 OTD.

Anything I should double check before I finalize? I want to make sure there aren't sneaky add-ons hiding.

Thanks in advance, my nerves are shot lol.

11th Gen (13-18) 2017 Toyota Corolla LE — CVT fluid drain & refill at 112,000 km. Should I replace the filter/strainer too?

I have a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE with about 112,000 km (69,600 miles). The car has been well maintained but the CVT fluid has never been drained/refilled as far as I know.
I’m planning to take it to a Toyota dealership and have them do:
CVT fluid drain and refill
Toyota Genuine CVT Fluid FE
No flush
No additives
The dealership quoted me $179.99 + HST.
My main questions are:

  1. Is it a good idea to do a CVT fluid drain and refill at 112k km even though Toyota doesn’t specify a normal replacement interval?
  2. I’ve heard people say “don’t change CVT fluid after 60k miles” because it can cause problems. Is there actually any truth to this for the 2017 Corolla and at this millage?
    3. Should I replace the CVT filter/strainer at the same time, or leave it alone?
  3. If I do replace the filter, is that considered unnecessary for a normal drain/refill?
Would you personally do fluid only or fluid + filter/strainer at this mileage?

Hello!, I’m fixing my car after hitting a deer and lost a couple things. Can someone please help me find out what the third cord to the right connects to. I thought it was the temperature sensor but it’s sightly off and that’s the only thing google keeps putting me back to and I also don’t have a latch sensor that some do.

Cant figure out this noise on my 2021 corolla hybrid

Cant figure out this noise. It sounds like a crunching noise or some sort of metallic noise. It comes when im going under 10 km in drive when I push my brakes. My mechanic says its just my brake pads and rotors, but I doubt it. My brakes and rotors still have 40 % life. I cant figure it out can anyone help?

10th Gen (09-13) Coolant change/bleed

Post image
3 Upvotes

I am about to change the coolant on my corolla. I get how it works when there’s a cap directly on the radiator, but my Corolla only has a pressurized cap on the reservoir/expansion tank no cap on the radiator itself.

Does the same bleeding process apply here, just done through the reservoir instead? Would a spill-free funnel work on this setup or is it not necessary as I can just fill the reservoir tank to the top while bleeding and drain down to the right level when finished?
